Venky-Rana-Chaitu @ in One Movie !?

The culture of multi-starrers has begun and thanks to the film 'Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' even the big league heroes are willing to put their egos aside and team up for an interesting project. Now, it is heard that three heroes of the same family are coming together for a new flick.
We are talking about the trio of victory Venkatesh, towering hunk Daggubati Rana and Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya. The man to come up with this concept is none other than the movie mogul Ramanaidu. It is heard that Ramanaidu has been inviting scripts and storylines which suit the images of the trio.
Once the story is locked, the film would be hitting the floors. Currently, many scriptwriters and directors have been informed about this idea and whoever gets the right kind of subject, they will get to be part of this historical project. Let us see how soon this happens.

Rana's @ weakness exposed by senior hero

The tollywood hunk Daggubati Rana may well be hearing some negative feedback about his acting talent or his activities off the screen. But that has not affected him and he has been going about doing his job. Now, it is heard that another weakness of his got revealed and that too through an old hero.
He is none other than legend Amitabh Bachchan. It is heard that Big B discovered that Rana has a major weakness in speaking Hindi. So, during the shooting of the film 'Department' Big B reportedly called Rana and asked him to say few dialogues in Hindi. As expected, Rana fumbled with the lines.
In no time, Big B took charge and it is heard that he became Rana's mentor and taught him how to speak Hindi fluently and in the right diction. 'Department' is hitting the screens on May 18th and it remains to be seen whether Rana has dubbed for his own voice or not. With Big B as tutor, it is about time Rana speaks fluent Hindi.

Rana @ in love with Hyderabadi girl

Daggubati Rana didn't achieve much as an actor yet. He is still trying to learn the basics of acting and we have to see when he will really impress us as an actor. Although his acting and dancing has nothing to rave about, there is one thing that attracts the media about him. He tries to be close with his female costars and that keeps him in news.
Bollywood grapevine still believes that he is having an affair with Bipasha Basu. But Rana says she is just his friend and there is no place for romance between them. He was also linked to Trisha in the recent times. He laughed off those rumors and said that Trisha is his 3 AM friend. Okay, is there anyone in the film industry that he wants to be romantically involved with?
Rana says he is not seeing anyone from the industry because he has a girlfriend and she is a non-filmy girl from Hyderabad. Rana didn't give any details about her other than this information. He said that marriage is not on the cards for him right now. Now it's up to the paparazzi to find out that mysterious girl in Rana's life.

RGV's @ Single Shot For Hot M&M!!

The otherwise publicity master has failed this time to recreate his 'sensation' at Box Office. This is about a latest trailer of his upcoming film which gave only a single shot for M&M.
Ramu's latest Hindi movie is 'Department' with Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Rana in the leads. The trailer of the movie is out but hasn't got required attention as there is no piece of sensationalism in it. More than this, M&M have become hot topic among the people who watched it. In that boring lengthy trailer, RGV has given only a single shot for Manchu Lakshmi and Madhushalini.
Both these glamorous starlets are yet to start their scores in tinsel towns. Had Ramu given them a perfect share of pie in that trailer, both the 'no break' ladies might have got few applauses. With their faces passing the screens in split seconds, the hot ladies are not at all getting any 'wild' recognition. Though this 'single shot' is not yielding much in trailers, let us see how M&M will make it in the movie.

Reason Behind @ Heroes Crossing Boundaries!!

Most of Telugu star heroes are crossing boundaries by leaving their native language aside. Insiders reveal that there is a hot reason behind this happening.
Rana is the first one to cross boundary even without scoring a proper hit in Telugu industry. He debuted in Bollywood with 'Dum Maro Dum' and is currently gearing up for his second with 'Department'. Sources revealed that he is soon going to do his Hollywood flick too. Coming to Mega powerstar RamCharan, he is all set to rock in his debut Hindi movie 'Zanjeer'. Already, Allu Arjun is shaking Malayalam circuit with the dubbed version of his Telugu releases and became a super star there. There comes this 'hot reason' behind these moves of our heroes.
Most of the films with these star-kids in the lead are crossing a budget of 30 crores all the time. With Telugu industry finding it difficult to recover these investments if the film goes flop-way, our heroes are finding alternate places for releasing our movies. If they score a success at those places with a direct flick, then their upcoming Telugu flicks can be dubbed there to earn decent bucks, such that producers will recover even after a flop. Got it guys?

Rana Daggubati @ Hollywood Debut Soon!!

Young hunk Rana Daggubati is going places these days. Apart from making waves in Bollywood and Telugu film industries, Rana is all set to make his Hollywood debut soon. The movie has been titled ‘A momentary lapse of Reason’ and the film has an impressive A list Hollywood star cast.
Rana will be seen as an Indian businessman from Los Angeles who decided to take revenge on the city’s underworld after his life is affected by their activities. The movie will be directed by Aditya Bhattacharya, grandson of renowned Indian Filmmaker Bimal Roy.

Rana @ makes Daggubati Fans Happy!!

In South, for any hero to have a long innings in film industry it is mandatory for him to secure a mass image. That is the reason why, Chiranjeevi or Balakrishna is remembered more than their contemporaries. They were trendsetters in delivering blockbusters which literally shook the BO in mid 1980 and 90’s. While Nagarjuna has succeeded only partially in achieving this milestone, now it is let for Naga Chaitanya but he is surely stumbling. Coming to other top hero Venkatesh, he was versatile throughout and Daggubati successor rana initially adhered to his Babai’s path.
Fortunately, ‘Naa Ishtam’ is one film from rana where in his characterization and dialogues mouthed are making Daggubati Fans feel happy about. ‘Yes, rana has the skill and dexterity to fulfill the dearth of a mass hero from Daggubati family. He has well groomed body and a good family background which will come as big advantages. He needs to be just selective in scripts and directors. If, rana sticks to basics then Tollywood might see some tremendous mass-action movies in future,’ is a view from an analyst.

Review @ Naa Ishtam Movie!!

Movie : Naa Ishtam
Rating: 2/5Cast : Daggubati Rana, Genelia, Subba Raju, Brahmanandam, etc..
Directed by : Prakash Toleti
Produced by : Paruchuri Kiriti
Banner : United Movies Banner
Music : Chakri
Release Date : 2012-03-23
After having two warm up sessions as an actor, Rana Daggubati gained in confidence to shoulder a commercial entertainer that demands him to do the essential things to turn into a star. Naa Ishtam is Rana's first ever commercial movie and that is the only thing to state about this film. Other than that it is a badly made boring romantic film with silly logics and stupid screenplay. Know the full details in the review..

Story:
This film is about a selfish person named Ganesh, played by Rana. He falls in love with Krishna Veni (Genelia) after so much drama, which has to be seen on the screen. He is aware of the fact that she is in love with another person. But he fall in love with her and for this sole reason he stands between the lovers as an obstacle. His only mission is to stop the lovers from meeting so that he gets a chance to win her love. How does he operate this mission sums up the story.

Performances:
Rana Daggubati tried his level best to fit into the shoes of a jovial and energetic character which has some negatively positive ideologies. Despite his sincere efforts Rana failed to convince us with his performance. He is wooden faced and hardly emotes. Even the basic expressions like happiness and sorrow look artificial on him. Thanks to his giant frame, he looks good and effortless in action episodes. He tried his hand at dances, but less said is better about his moves. Rana needs to learn the basics of acting if he wants to make a career as an actor.
Genelia is fine as the female lead. Thankfully she hasn't gone overboard this time. Harsha is just okay as Genelia's lover. He too doesn't know to act. Rest of the star cast is given unnecessary build up, but turn into mere puppets. Brahmanandam fails to provide laughs and so does Ali. Baddie Shawar Ali is a complete waste. Raviteja's brother Bharath does a cameo which works to some extent.

On the Technical Front:
Naa Ishtam doesn't boast of great technical values. Editing and Cinematography are just about okay. There is nothing worth mentioning about these departments. Music by Chakri is passable. O Sathiya song stands out. But the song is placed too late in the film that audience finds tough to stick to their seats at this point. Background score is not bad. The film is not lavishly made. Despite being shot in Malaysia, it didn't look rich enough.
Director Prakash handled the scenes in Mandapeta very well. But there is sort of hurriedness in the scenes canned in Malaysia. His script is half baked and the screenplay is pretty bad. Being a protege of Sukumar, he should have come up with brilliant scenes. But it looks like he doesn't possess those special skills of his guru.

Analysis:
Naa Ishtam starts on an ordinary note and stays the same throughout the first hour. There are few watchable sequences in between. The scenes involving Bharath are good. A spicy item song also is placed at this point which works well to keep the interest flowing. Even the interval twist works a bit.
Taking the story forward from that point turned out to be the biggest problem for the director. He couldn't narrate the story in a convincing way and the hero character's motives are not told properly. Director is left in a state of confusion about how to deal with the characters. He failed to show the right and wrong sides of his principal characters.
Besides that confusion, the director seems very weak in the comedy department and further dampened the prospects of the film. He didn't even develop the characters well for the audience to connect with them. Naa Ishtam might have worked if the director worked on the screenplay and characterizations.
Too much escapism in the second hour by placing so many action scenes and a nonsensical villain shows that the director lost the grip on the narrative. Only few moments holds the interest in the first hour and rest of the film is a big yawn. We don't recommend this film to our viewers. Rest is 'your wish'.
Final word: Nothing 'likeable'!

Rana @ 6 Pack Photos!!

Rana and Natalia @ Hot Photo Shoot - Photos!!

RGV @ Shuts critics' mouth with photos!!

The eccentric genius Ram Gopal Varma is often criticized for his periodic announcements about films and not taking off even one. Some has already discarded him as a worthless moviemaker who only talks and tries to bank on publicity than coming up with some really content driven and intense movies.
Well, as usual, Ramu has surprised everyone once again and shut the mouths of his critics. Recently, Ramu made an announcement that he would be coming up with a film titled 'Andam' starring the towering hunk Daggubati Rana and the half-Brazilian bombshell Nathalia Kaur. Many shrugged it off as a usual time pass statement by Ramu.
But now, he has released the stills of Rana and Nathalia which has created a strong sensation. Not stopping at that, Ramu has reportedly mentioned that the film will be shot in the most richest locations ever seen by Indian audience and added that the entire shoot will be taking place in foreign locations. That's RGV for you folks!!

RaNa @ Copies 'Dookudu' Idea!!!

Some blockbuster movies always stand like a blue-book and they are followed blindly by our sentiment struck Film Industry. Same is the case with macho hero RaNa who is coming up with a double treat this summer.
Daggubati RaNa, the 6ft 3inch muscular man of Telugu Industry is coming up with two back to back flicks this summer. He is going be seen in romantic comedy 'Na Ishtam' and cop thriller 'Department'. For his romantic comedy, RaNa is said to have copied the idea of 'Dookudu'. Throughout the film Mahesh flatters all of AP's audiences by speaking in different Telugu language modulations. Noticeably, he utters 'West Godavari' accent while comedy talks and 'Telangana' flavor while tackling villains.
Now, RaNa is also doing the same in 'Na Ishtam' to woo fans across the three regions. 'You should adapt to different kinds of characters to convince the audience', says RaNa who is pretty confident about the movie's success. But, there is a sad news for fans as RaNa is not going to flaunt his six-pack body for fans even in this movie!

Rana Beats @ Mahesh Babu With 'Department'?

The Tollywood circuit is abuzz with the mania created by Mahesh Babu and since then, all the young heroes have been coming up with ways and means to get past him. Now, it is heard that Daggubati Rana might well be the first one to get a breakthrough in this aspect.
News is that Rana is likely to beat Mahesh and this is in terms of followers in the social networking site Twitter. Apparently, there are around 2.16 lakh followers for Rana and Mahesh is currently enjoying the following of 3 lakhs. However, it is heard that Rana has made up his mind to get past that figure.
He is confident that this would happen through his new movie ‘Department’. Apparently, this is a nationwide cinema so the hype will grow and off the record news is that he is aiming to cross Mahesh. That way, Twitter sure is becoming a parameter for many of the Tollywood folks to check their popularity scales.
