Venky's 'Bodyguard' on Dec. 02

The release date of Bodyguard is now final.  It will hit the marquee on Dec. 2.  Having completed its talkie for most part, the Venky-Trisha starrer is in the phase of post-production now.

It appears to be a closely-guarded remake, to say the least.  The film would not cut much ice if it fails to bring in new nuances.  Most of them know the story.  So they would seek novelty here.

There are expectations from Venky, who could add zing to the story.  Trisha's abilities are well-known.

The movie is about how the daughter of a rich businessman falls in love with her bodyguard.  Though not a much critically acclaimed film, the original boasts of some action and comedy.

Sam hits the Cherry jackpot

It has been a while since Samantha has been going great guns in Telugu.  If she has yet another film lined up with Mahesh Babu, she has bagged a big-ticket film opposite Ram Charan.  To be produced by Dil Raju, the film will see the pair coming together for the first time.

Their chemistry is expected to sizzle the screen for sure.  Though they are contrasts complexion-wise, they are compatible physique-wise.  It is observed that such couples strike quick rapport which translates into a stunning chemistry on the screen.

Nayanatara wasted no time to come out in the open and tell the world that she has watched both the Diwali releases - 7 aum Aviru and Ra.One.  She got judgmental about the latter.  Saying that she was disappointed with Ra.One, Nayan endorsed the performance of Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter.

The vocal and active actress did not talk about what she felt after watching 7aum Aviru, the Suriya-starrer.

Jr.NTR's upcoming movie Dammu in the direction of Boyapati Srinu has finally got its release date.Dammu Movie is all set to release on April 5, 2012.Earlier the makers of the movie planned to release the movie for 2012 Pongal but now postponed for 2012 Summer.

Currently Jr.Ntr's Dammu shooting is progressing in Annapurna Studios,Hyderabad.A set was erected for the shoot.Kajal Agarwal is playing lead actress role while Karthika is also roped for second female lead role in the movie.MM Keeravani is composing songs for this mass entertainer movie.

Nagarjuna fears about Bejawada fate

Naga Chaitanya, who tasted back to back successes with Ye Maya Chesave and 100% Love, got a good opportunity to step ahead with Dhada. But the movie ended up as a colossal disaster pushing him back to square one. Now he will have to prove his might with his next release and if he tastes another flop at this point, Chaitanya would have to struggle hard to get back on track.

Chaitanya’s next release is Bejawada, produced by Ram Gopal Varma and was in news for wrong reasons. Bejawada enjoys the curiosity factor but one has doubts over the overall content and execution of the film. Chaitanya did an intense role in this film and that is another major test for him as he is yet to prove his mettle in such roles.

Nagarjuna has been supervising his son’s career and picking the films very carefully. Despite all that care being taken, Chaitanya is still facing flops which are not called for. Ravi Teja – Suriya coming together for a film

Slowly but steadily, the concept of multi-starrer films are commencing and this is bringing a lot of cheer to the Tollywood folks and the audience. While one project is already finalised in the form of ‘Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ starring Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu, here is another one.
 
News is that a multi-starrer is being planned but this is going to be a bilingual. The buzz is that this would have Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja teaming up with hot star Suriya. The man to make this happen is Kollywood director Venkat Prabhu. News is that Venkat has approached both stars with a strong script and both of them have given a primary nod.

So, the chances are that this project can materialize once Suriya wraps up his projects and Ravi Teja wraps up his ‘Nippu’. Luck didn’t favour Shruti Hassan

There is been some fantastic pre-release buzz all over as the film is associated with the names like Suriya, AR Murugadoss and Harris Jayaraj(Ghajini combo). But it failed to live up to the expections, adding to the meseries of the actress.

We are aware that, sentiment(hit or flop) plays a vital role in Film Industry. Now, the filmmakers are more cautious while signing Shruti Hassan for their films. Cuurently, She has Siddharth’s ‘Oh My Friend’, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Gabbar Singh’ and Aishwarya Rajinkanth’s ’3′ in her kitty. Shruti’s career as an actress depends on the success ratio of these flicks. Kajal’s loss is Trisha’s gain

The last few days have been abuzz with the news of Shruti Hassan walking out of Jr NTR’s ‘Dammu’ and who would be her correct replacement? Though Kajal was the initial choice for the role, the makers of the film have finally zeroed in on Trisha.

According to the sources, director Boyapati Seenu has approached Kajal and she has agreed to do the film. But due to some issues, the makers have opted to go for another heroine now and thus Trisha came into the picture. Notably, Trisha is pairing opposite NTR for the first time and she will join the shoot of ‘Dammu’ from October 27th.

Actually, Trisha was to act with NTR in ‘Brindavanam’. But, she couldn’t adjust her dates and the role has been offered to Kajal. Trisha’s loss is Kajal’s gain and vice versa. Let’s see how this new pairing works!

Hema Malini and Rekha’s Tollywood connection

The names Hema Malini and Rekhla are associated with Bollywood. However not many are aware that their first screen appearances were in Telugu movies. They were among the first leading ladies from the South to carve out the top heroine status in Bollywood. Both are accomplished dancers and striking personalities in their own way.

Rekha made her debut in the Telugu movie Rangula Ratnam as a child artiste. Her first film as a heroine was opposite Rajkumar in a Kannada film. Ram Charan flies off to Himalayas

Lookslike, young hero Ram Charan is on a spiritual tour. We know that, he left to Sabarimala few days back to seek the blessings of Lord Ayyappa and complete Deeksha Viramana. After returning from Sabarimala, everyone expected Charan to take part in his upcoming film ‘Racha’ shoot. But, he has gone to Dharamsala(Himachal Pradesh, North India, 500 km north of Delhi).

Dharamsala is the home to Buddhist monk Dalai Lama, which is located on the valleys of Himalayas – where the heaven meets the earth. It is set in the backdrop of the snow-clad peaks of Dhauladhar Mountains, which is centre of the Tibetan exile world in India and a popular destination for Indian and foreign tourists.

According to the sources, Charan will be there for 4 days and returns back to here by this weekend. Let’s hope he would join the shoot of ‘Racha’ soon to bring the film as a Sankranthi treat for his fans!!!
 

Why is Nag producing Rajanna?

Nagarjuna Akkineni is donning the producer’s hat, perhaps after a very long time in his 25-year old career. He said the manner in which Director Vijayendra Prasad sketched his character was a revelation. This was the key reason as to why he felt like producing the movie himself. Nag said most of the key events in the film were the ones that actually happened during the freedom struggle. He also had a special word of praise for the manner in which Director Rajamouli picturized the action episodes.

He assured his fans that the movie will have top range technical values and will be a visual extravaganza. The evergreen actor revealed that except for a song, the shooting of the entire movie was complete. After completing the post production formalities, Nag said that the picture will hit the screens in the 3rd week of December. Sneha is the heroine in the film.

Dil Raju buys back overseas rights from Siddharth

Dil Raju has bought back the overseas rights from Siddharth after watching the movie yesterday. He felt super confident after watching the movie and reportedly offered a princely sum to buy back the rights from Siddharth. This was confirmed by Siddharth himself on twitter. Let us see if this movie can create as much magic at the Box Office as Siddharth and Dil Raju hope for.

Siddharth is so confident about the Box Office performance of Oh My Friend that he says he bought the overseas rights as soon as he okayed the script. Oh My Friend’s audio turned out to be a bumper success and Siddharth has been getting superb offers for the overseas rights now. The music has been composed by noted Malayalam music director Rahul Raj.

Shruti Haasan and Hansika will provide the glamour and Navadeep plays second fiddle to Siddharth. The movie has been directed by Venu Sri Ram and Dil Raju is the producer. The movie is hitting the screens on November 11th.

 

Bhanupriya is NTR’s mom in 'DAMMU'

Young Tiger NTR will be seen in an out and out commercial full length role in the upcoming movie ‘Dammu’. The movie’s title has been getting a good response from the public and NTR has been sporting a powerful new look. Veteran actress Bhanupriya will be portraying the role of NTR’s mother in the movie.

The movie is being directed by Boyapati Sreenu and Alexander Vallabha is producing the film. The movie had Shruti Haasan as the heroine but she has dropped out due to date issues. Kaajal, Trisha and Karthika have been touted as the replacements but the hot talk in Filmnagar right now is that Trisha has been finalized as the heroine. We are yet to receive an official confirmation regarding this.

Expectations have been very high on the biggest budget film in the history of Indian cinema. The promotional stuff eulogized the film as the one that takes Indian film to next level. Trailers also supported well. But it is only the story and narration that plays vital role in deciding the fate of any film, and that is proven again with Ra.One. Let us get into the details.

Story:

Sekhar Subrahmanyam (SRK) is a video game expert. He is very intelligent but timid and behaves insane. His son Prateek (Arman Varma) hates his father for those negative qualities. He wants his father to be like super hero. He suggests that a hero becomes super only when the villain stands strong.

To fulfill his son's desire, Sekhar designs a new video game in which villain stands very strong with immense powers. He names the villain as Ra.One (Random Axis version 1). So, this is a video game version of mythological villain Ravan. He also designs a hero G-One (Good One) to fight with him. There will not be any shape for Ra-One but G-One will have the features of SRK.

Initially Prateek plays the game. He plays for a while and pauses it. But with the auto initiation and ignition, the Ra-One in the game gets materialized and comes into outer world. He creates destruction and also kills Sekhar. His target to kill is Prateek who fights him in video game. Then Pateek brings out G-One from the game. His mission is to save Prateek and Sekhar’s wife (Kareena). Then the fight starts between G-One and Ra-One. Ra-one also takes the shape of an ad model (Arjum Rampal) and attacks G-One. Finally how good wins over bad forms the story.

Performances:

SRK has got no scope to perform histrionics but he has got enough room to show his muscle power. He should be appreciated for portraying such high voltage role in his late forties.

Kareena Kapoor has got little scope to act but she has shown enough mettle within the scope given to her.

Arman did well. Arjun Rampal (Ra One comes into him) did very well and it is sure that his stature gets increased with this portrayal.

Sahana Goswami, Tom Woo, Sateesh Shah and others did well as desired.

Technically, the film stands on the top. This is the best graphics film ever made on Indian screen. Especially the car chase, introduction scenes of Ra-One and G-One stand on the apex in style and presentation. Visual Effects team score full marks.

Cinematography is mind blowing. But the editing lacked sharpness in non-action episodes. Still, the trimming is required on a whole. Vishal Sekhar's music stands as highlight. Dildara, Chammak Challo songs stand as highlights. Criminal song also runs very vivaciously.

Production values are unbelievably good. But director failed to get trade mark for himself with such wonderful budget. No one brings director in his mind while watching the film.

Analysis:

Countless number of super hero films release in Hollywood frequently. But only a few stand as super hits and some become legendary master pieces. It's not just visual effects but the story and narration play vital role in success. The job that has to be assigned to super hero would be very big and challenging. But here in Ra-One it has become a family affair. A super hero is not required just to save a family member. The major drawback in this film is plot resolution. It fails to pump in enough adrenaline.

It is good to listen to the theme of a super villain and super hero coming out of video game to fight in real time. But that has to be conceived convincingly and powerfully. The situations and scenes would have been powerful enough to make this film more interesting.

It can be said that huge budget got wasted with mediocre story line. Although the graphics are good, they are of no use in making this film a grand success. The film has to be watched without any expectations. If anyone goes for best experience, disappointment becomes inevitable.

Some say that the film will be liked by kids. But the kids like to play video games themselves. They can’t watch somebody playing a foul video game.

Reel Buzz @ Panjaa Trailer Talk

Whenever a project of Pawan Kalyan is announced or is in the making, the temperature rises in the Pawan fans camp. And the frenzy doubles when the film happens to be an hardcore action packed treat. Right now, that is the feelers which everyone is getting after watching the trailer of Pawan’s new film ‘Panjaa’.

The thirty second teaser was well made and most importantly, it showed Pawan in a rather stylish and rugged avatar. Some say it looks like a gangster type of film while others say Pawan looks like a professional hitman. Few others say it is a revenge saga where Pawan is taking vengeance for killing his ladylove.

But the maximum opinion is going only for one version. The trailer of ‘Panjaa’ is reminding of the Hollywood movie ‘The Punisher’. One of the most successful movies which was inspired from the Marvel comics series. Keeping all that aside, the plain fact is that the first impression created by ‘Panjaa’ is very positive.

Shruti Haasan DNA Structure

Shruti Haasan may well be the daughter of Kamal Haasan but then she has been making a mark of her own and has come out of her father’s shadow. Bagging some of the plum projects in south, Shruti is carving a brand of her own. Latest she paired up with Suriya and arrived with the film ‘7th Sense’.

In one line, the film is about DNA structure and how that can be retriggered. While that was onscreen, many in the theatre were watching Shruti and saying “Shruti’s DNA structure is a mix of Suhasini and Sarika.” As such, Sarika is Shruti’s mom while Suhasini is also a close relative (Suhasini is the daughter of Charu Hasan, the elder brother of Kamal Hasan).

The talk among the audience was “While expressing surprise and awe, Shruti is just like Suhasini. That is clearly evident during the fight scene between Dang Lee and Suriya in climax. Of course, since they are related maybe the DNA worked out. But Shruti is surely a blessed girl. She has got the seductive appeal from her mother and the talented brains of her father.”

Trisha Unhappy @ Mahesh Babu

It was said little while ago that Trisha is going to be considered for the role of sister in law to Mahesh Babu in the film Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. It was gossiped later that Trisha was unhappy for that. It is generally believed that sister, sister in law roles are offered to heroines those have got no opportunities in hand.

But on the other hand there is other news that is in circulation. Trisha is going to be considered for the role to pair up with Venkatesh in the film. Since Mahesh Babu is playing the role of younger brother to Venkatesh, she is considered to be sister in law.

Hence there are a few those are ruling out the news that Trisha is unhappy for the sister in law role. She will be considered as one of the heroines in the film by pairing up with one of the heroes.

Ra.One VS 7th Sense

It is often said that the Kollywood circuit is known for quality and content oriented movies. Some of the best flicks come from this region. Now, the '7th Sense' film created quite a stir in terms of the subject chosen. But that will soon be replaced by another film.

Yes, we are talking about the next big movie in south India and this is the Tamil movie 'Aravan'. The film has Aadhi in the lead along with Pasupathy and this again is made on period backdrop. Sources say the film is being dubbed into Telugu as well with the title Ekaveera.

This is directed by Vasantha Balan and the makers say this is very much a commercial film. The music is by Karthik and the leading ladies are Dhansika and Archana Kavi. The talk is that the film is generating a lot of hype for its concept and this is looking big for the box office.

NTR to act as MLA in his Next Movie

After the powerhouse speeches that NTR gave for the Telugu Desam Party during the election campaign few years ago, many saw a strong leader in him. Since then, speculations have been on about his political emergence etc. whether that is happening or not, here is an update.

It is heard that the young tiger is gearing up to sign a new project. This has been titled tentatively as 'MLA'. Well, there is a tag line attached to it which goes 'Manchi Lakshanaalunna Abbayi'. The man to make this project is the young director Harish Shankar. Buzz is that this will be produced by the duo of Vallabhaneni Vamsi and Kodali Nani.

Whether there is any political flavour in the movie or not, the three alphabets are causing a spark of interest among the cine folks and the Nandamuri fans. For now, NTR is busy with the shooting of his movie 'Dammu' so let us wait for the official announcement about 'MLA'.

Panjaa FD Shaking Websites

Power star Pawan Kalyan is gearing up to arrive with his new movie ‘Panjaa’ and already the stills of the film have caused a rage. While that is one side, here is something else about the film which is causing frenzy among Pawan fans. However, truth is that this is not original but fake.

We are talking about a Fake Dialogue that is making rounds in the internet. The line goes “Maamooluga deenini pidikili antaaru..kaani idi panjaa..deenitho okkassaari debbatinte automatic gaa rendo saari debba thine avakasaanni kolpothaadu”. Many are presuming this is indeed part of ‘Panjaa’ but sources say it is not so.

Mahesh Babu is surely the hottest star among all his contemporaries. With Dookudu, he bagged the second biggest hit of all time in Telugu cinema history. After Pokiri his crowd pulling abilities have been once again highlighted with this film. Post Pokiri, Mahesh suffered few hiccups and also a three year filmless period.

Mahesh is not going mess this time as he has a very good lineup of films. All these films are being planned well and executed equally well. It is just a matter of another blockbuster and Mahesh Babu will be unarguably named as the New Number one.

Victory Venkatesh’s new forthcoming film titled "Bodyguard" title first look poster has been unveiled. Earlier we heard that movie titled as Ganga-The Bodyguard, but now it has been titled as Bodyguard. The film also remade in Tamil with the title Kavalan, which was also a hit film in Tamil.
Now in Telugu version Venkatesh is playing the main lead role. Trisha and Saloni are playing the female lead roles. The film has almost completed the shooting part and presently the post production works are going on. The audio of the film will be released in November first week and the movie will be released by end of November.

The story of Bodyguard is about a young man with strange habits right from his childhood. He is intelligent, courageous and determined person. He grows up admiring men who does heroic acts and finally becomes to a Bodyguard to a Don’s only daughter who joins college. Though the heroine gets irritated with him initially and attempts to get rid of him, later falls in love with her Bodyguard. What happens next is all about the film.

Bodyguard is being directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on Sri Sai Ganesh Productions banner. SS Thaman is scoring the music for the film.

The film has Prakash Raj, Aali, Venu Madhav, Tanikella Bharani, Dr Brahmanandam, Chandra Mohan and Subba Raju in other important lead roles.

Raviteja’s new film shooting starts from Nov 1st!

Mass Raja Raviteja’s new project in the direction of Siva was launched recently and the regular shooting of the film starts from November 1st. Director Siva, who has earlier directed the film Souryam with Gopichand. Sizzling beauty Tapsee has been roped in to play the female lead opposite to Raviteja in this film. Raviteja and Tapsee earlier acted together in Veera film and this would be the second film for the duo.

The film is said to be a mass entertainer and it will be produced by Burgupalli Shivaramakrishna under Sri Venkateswara Entertainments banner. Vijay Anthony will score the music and Vetri will handle the camera for this flick. More details about this project will be revealed soon.

Presently Raviteja is busy with the shooting of his new film "NIPPU" in the direction of Gunasekhar and Tapsee is busy with the film MOGUDU, which will be released shortly!!
