Director Rajamouli is going to face the test of his life with Eega. The suspense over the film's release date is still on. It may be postponed to June 14 say few reports. Eega is surrounded by huge hype and expectations and it is needless to say that brand Rajamouli is the reason for this. Eega too will get a huge release across the globe.
It will be interesting to see if Rajamouli can pull of a heist like recent biggies did. We have seen Businessman breaking first week records and later Gabbar Singh set new benchmark in openings. Currently Gabbar Singh is on top as far as first week collections are concerned. Where will Rajamouli's Eega stand after its first week?

'Eega', the big budgeted sci-fi extravaganza of Rajamouli is targeting only a recovery of 30% from Box Office. Already, the makers are able to pull 70% of their investment through satellite rights, dubbing rights and area-wise selling of the film. With the popularity of the brand 'Rajamouli', they are able to get soaring prices for this film. They say that most of the area rights are sold on NRA basis that incurs no loss to producer even in case of loss.
NRA means Non-Returnable Advance, which the distributors pay agreeing that they will not demand it back in case of a flop show. Trade experts expressed that 'Eega' needs a week run at BO to make the producer cross loss-line. Distributors will also lie on safe side if there are no competitors for this flick for a couple of weeks. Wait and see.
This combination had already created sensation with their blockbuster movie 'Chatrapati' long back. Prabhas' masculine body and heroisms are a perfect hand-in-glove for Rajamouli's action extravaganzas. But, Film Nagar folks are cuckooing an insider report that their upcoming film is going to take an u-turn.
Rajamouli is now all set to come up with his 'Eega' very soon. Likewise, Prabhas is also going to rock the silver screen with his 'Rebel' in no time. According to grapevine in Film Nagar, both are worried that they are not delivering some back to back movies. Rajamouli got late once again with 'Eega' and Prabhas took almost a year for 'Rebel'. Buzz is that, this director and hero wants to do a fast project after the release of their current ventures.
That is possible only if Rajamouli picks a new team and new subject, while Prabhas finds a director like Puri to wrap a quickie keeping his image in mind. After doing one such movie, both are planning to associate for their epic movie scheduled, says a source. Only Rajamouli and Prabhas can reveal the real truth.
Who will hit the biggest hit in this summer? Except a couple of top heroes, almost everyone is having a go at the box office in this season. Arudhati and Magadheera proved that Telugu audience are looking for something beyond the routine entertainment and Eega should be the one to fulfill their need.
Mega Powerstar Ram Charan showered praises on ace filmmaker Rajamouli, who is the genius behind the experimental flick 'Eega', for repeating his magic again. "Just saw Eega movie trailer. Its superb!!! Hats off to Rajamouli and his team. I guess its time now to be nice to the Eegas around us. If not...," tweeted Charan.
Though Ram Charan was invited Rajamouli as one of the guests for Eega's audio launch, he couldn't make it to the event because of his busy shooting schedule. On that day, Charan was shooting 'Cherry Cherry ...' song in Pollachi.
The promos of the film has garnered nationwide attention. Even Bollywood renowned film critic Taran Adarsh was spellbound by Jakkanna's work after watching Eega promo. "Watched the promo of Telugu film #Eega. Brilliant concept. Beats all promos. @ssrajamouli - kudos and respect!!," tweeted Taran.
