Trisha @ Private Assets Looted

In a strange development, actress Trisha is said to have been robbed off Re.1 crore from her bank account by one of the members of the staff of the bank.Trisha has been operating her account with a leading private Bank on Chennai’s Anna Salai and is said to have deposited a few crores of rupees in her account. Trisha, who checked her accounts in a casual manner last week, was stunned. She immediately took the matter to the notice of the higher officials at the bank. It turned out that one of the staff at the collection centre inside the bank had secretly downloaded the accounts details of Trisha’s accounts in his personal computer and using the data, he had withdrawn the money. The bank officials reportedly pleaded with the actress not to approach police help in this regard as it would damage the image of the bank . They also assured that the accounts would be recouped and settled in a few days’ time. Accepting their request, Trisha is said to have decided to let the matter to be handled by them instead of approaching the police.

Sources revealed that  Anushka is doing a short stint in this flick as 'comedy policewoman'.
Apparently, she nodded to this role only because of her closeness with star hero Surya, brother of Karthi. This 'love' is raising many eyebrows in Tollywood as she has rejected song-offers and guest roles from our Telugu directors in the recent times.

Samantha has been having a whale of a time. She is undoubtedly the most sought-after actress in Tamil and Telugu movies at present. The pretty actress is already her hands full with films by leading directors in both the languages. Fresh buzz in the tinsel town is that the lucky mascot is likely to play the female lead in Karthi next's film Biriyani to be directed by Venkat Prabhu. Reports say that the director is planning to bring this pair for a romantic comedy titled Biryani. However, the cute actress is yet to give the green signal for Venkat Prabhu. Biriyani it tipped to be a bilingual film to be shot in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously. As such, director Venkat is looking for a familiar face that can lure the audience in both the languages. Samantha is already busy for more than half a dozen films in Telugu and Tamil and, the crew of Biriyani needs to wait for some time to get her nod. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

They feel that what Venkat Prabhu attracted with Mankatha promotions, has been let down byChakri Toleti.

Star treats like Snehitudu, Eka Veera and 3, failed at BO miserably without even collecting their investment for dubbing. But some Telugu producers who are eager to beat the original films and earn more bucks than the local cinema are buying Tamil films at higher costs now. The second half of this year is going to witness big budgeted movies of star heroes like Rajnikanth, Kamal Hasan, Surya, Karthi, Ajith and Vikram.  
List of movies that are ready to attack Tollywood Sincludes Viswaroopam, Kochaidayan, Maatran, Sakuni. Unlike last year, Tamil movies may not get enough theatres this year due to the overcrowding of Telugu super stars films. Indian Cinema @ Completes 100 Years:1913 To 2013

It is often said that there are two things that Indians are most fond of - one is politics and the other one is cinema. Of course, politics today has also become a form of entertainment for the public but a genuine form of entertainment has been cinema. This is now reaching a very important milestone. Well, the time has come for Indian cinema to touch the hundred years mark and a lot has gone through the journey of cinema from where it is today to where it started sometime back.
It was in the year 1913 that the first Mookie film came into existence. This was 'Raja Harischandra' which was produced by the legend Dadasaheb Phalke. This was made in Marathi and the venue for such films was the theatres. Jamshedji Framji Madan was the first entrepreneur who owned a set of theatres and produced films annually. Then, came the time of Raghupathi Venkaiah built his own cinema halls in Madras. Today, an award has been instituted in his name in the Nandi awards of Andhra Pradesh.

A new chapter began on March 14th, 1931 with the first Indian talkie film Alam Ara followed by Bhakta Prahlada in Telugu which was produced and directed by H M Reddy. The golden age of Indian cinema came in between 1940 -1960 where parallel cinema came into existence thanks to the likes of Satyajit Ray, Bimal Roy and others. Then came the age of commercial cinema with icons like Guru Dutt coming up with movies like 'Pyaasa' 'Kagaz Ke Phool' followed by Raj Kapoor with his 'Shree 420' 'Awaara' and others. Eventually, movies like Mughal-E-Azam, Madhumati went on to make their presence felt in foreign film circuits.
The modern Indian cinema came into being from the 1970s with the likes of Shyam Benegal, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Mrinal Sen, Buddhadeb Dasgupta, Govind Nihalani coming up with realistic movies. It was at this time, the emergence of Amitabh Bachchan as the angry man marked a new definition to heroism. Films like 'Sholay' 'Deewar' marked a new chapter. The 1980s saw more of commercial cinema with the likes of 'Ek Duje Ke Liye' 'QSQT' 'Tezaab' 'Maine Pyar Kiya' 'Chandni' creating a major stir at the box office.
The 90s saw the emergence of new age filmmakers like Mani Ratnam, Ram Gopal Varma, Madhur Bhandarkar, Anurag Kashyap, Deva Katta, Nagesh Kukunoor and others. Now, the Indian cinema has reached the new millennium and offbeat moviemakers like Neeraj Pathak, Sriram Raghavan, Sekhar Kammula and others are making their presence felt. A revolution of sorts has happened in terms of defining glamour, entertainment, commercial values, budgeting, marketing and box office reports. Going forward, Indian cinema looks more positive to reach a new league thereby encouraging the regional circuits like Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood etc to carve their own presence.

Nayantara Caught @ Airport With Manager!!

Though Nayantara has been a very successful actress in her career, her personal life has never been smooth. Her recent breakup with Prabhu Deva is yet to be healed and before that, it is heard that Nayan has landed in another trouble. Buzz is that Nayan was detained at the Chennai airport along with her manager. Grapevine is that both Nayan and her manager Rajesh along with makeup man Raju embarked to Bangkok and the customs received a tipoff that she was carrying around twenty lakhs cash. Some say it is to remove the tattoo of Prabhu Deva from her hand. Anyways, buzz is that she and Rajesh were grilled separately for a marathon 40 minutes by the custom officials. When asked about it, Nayan reportedly got miffed and clarified that she didn’t carry any such money for her trip. She has reportedly maintained that if it was for tattoo removal, she doesn’t have to go to Bangkok for that and reiterated that it is very much there on her arm. As for the interrogation, Nayan maintained that it was routine security check just like for any other passenger.

Amala @ Earning Upto Rs 1 Crore!!

Actresses and their pay packets are quite varied depending on their success track and career graph. But it is not easy for any starlet to start off with a mere Rs 17 lakhs and shoot to nearly Rs 1 crore in less than a year or two. But something like that has reportedly happened in Tollywood. 
We are talking about the noted actress Amala Paul and sources say she has become hot cake in Tollywood after the success of her movie ‘Love Failure’. Buzz is that she was paid only Rs 17 lakhs for her Tamil flick this year and she got a whopping Rs 1 crore for a Telugu movie. 
Speaking about it, Amala reportedly gave the much abused statement “I am paid what I am worth.” She maintained that both Telugu and Tamil movies are of same standard and clarified that her focus is on quality and not money that’s why she rejected many offers. 
For now, she has one bilingual in Tamil and Telugu under the direction of Samuthirakani and few other Telugu and Malayalam projects. In this process, Amala reportedly could not cater dates to a project of Radhamohan starring Allari Naresh. That’s Amala for you folks!!
