Puri Jagannath in Locations Search for The Business Man

Star director Puri Jagannath seems to have completed the script work of his next film ‘The Business Man’. Buzz is that he is now busy searching locations for the shooting of the film. The basic storyline of the film is said to be weapon trafficking with Mafia in its backdrop. Hence Puri is looking for locations in Mumbai as most of the film will be shot there. The film is given the tagline 'Guns Don't Need Agreements’.

‘The Business Man’ is the second mega project coming in the combination Prince Mahesh and Puri Jagannath after ‘Pokiri’, which had set many records in Telugu Cinema. Prince Mahesh will be seen in a dynamic role that he had not done before. Kajal Agarwal will be playing his love interest in it. Well known producer RR Venkat is producing the film on RR Movie Makers Banner.  It is slated for Sankrathi release in January 2012.

RGV Files a Caveat in the court

Ram Gopal Varma seems to play safe with his forthcoming crime thriller ‘Not a Love Story’. The film, based on the brutal murder of Neeraj Grover by the Kannada actress Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend Emili Jerome Mathew, had already landed in several controversies. Now, to avoid further hurdles, the filmmaker has filed a caveat in the court to avoid stay on the judgment on the release of his film, which is scheduled on 19 August 2011. It is caveat against an unknown person.

According to a source, “With strong reactions coming from Neeraj Grover's family and friends, Ramu is anticipating that anyone can go to court and appeal for a stay on the film. Even Maria is out on bail and may want to see the film, or can demand for a stay on it. In that case, the film may get postponed or even get stuck. Ramu doesn't want his film to suffer at any cost and has taken preventive measures to ensure a hassle-free release.”   According to Ram Gopal Varma, the film is not a biopic but is inspired by the true events of the case. In the film, Ajay Gehi is playing the victim Neeraj Grover, while Mahie Gill and Deepak Dobriyal are playing Maria Susairaj and Emili Jerome Mathew respectively.

Siddharth, Shruti’s ‘Oh My Friend’ shooting in Hyderabad

Siddharth, Shruti Haasan starrer ‘Oh My Friend’ had recently completed its schedule in Kerala. The film was shot in and around Allepey for more than two weeks and despite the rains and overcast conditions, sources close to the film unit said that the shooting went on quite well. Now, the film unit has returned to Hyderabad and the shooting has already begun here. Hansika is the other actress cast in this film. Navdeep is playing another important role.

Venu Sriram is going to make his debut as a director with this film. Dil Raju is producing it on Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Vijay K Chakravarthy is the cinematographer. Oh My Friend is a musical love story which fiddles with love and friendship. The film is expected to hit the screens later this year.

Uncomfortable with sleeveless but not with lip-locks

Few days back we have read that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan who is enacting Silk Smitha’s character in her upcoming movie ‘Dirty Picture’ has felt uncomfortable to appear in sleeveless blouse. But, the latest news is she is enjoying the streaming lip-lock scenes with Kissing Master Imran Hasmi. 

The director Milan Luthria has appreciated their very-natural- performance in the streaming lip-lock scenes. 

Now, Vidya Balan too mastered in the smooching scenes and now she might be feeling quite ok with sleeveless or even blouse-less as she might be understood how thrilling it would be to do it before the entire unit members.

Puri Jagannath with Jr. NTR again

Tollywood's young tiger Jr. NTR and ace director Puri Jagannath will be working together again for an action drama to be produced by Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji) under the banner of prestigious Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.

According to sources, the story is almost finalized and producer Bujji, who is currently producing Mogudu under the direction of Krishna Vamsi, will commence the proposed Jr. NTR starrer after Mogudu. Puri will join this flick after wrapping up Mahesh Babu's The Business Man.

Notably, Jr. NTR and Puri Jagannath earlier worked in Andhrawala, which is a washout at the box office. Similarly, Puri Jagannath and producer Bujji recently made Nenu Naa Rakshasi, which is also a disaster. So, it will be very interesting to see how this flop trio works out in their next Telugu flick!

Southern Beauty Trisha Krishnan won the NDTV Hindu Lifestyle award for style icon as the 'Southern Star of the Year'. Trisha won this NDTV Hindu Lifestyle award beating her competitors including Shriya Saran, Hansika, etc. and received the award from Farooq Abdullah. Trisha said that it was an honor and icing on the cake to receive such an award. No wonder, the actress was overwhelmed to receive the award amid high profile dignitaries. Superstar Rajinikanth, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgan, Praful Patel, Home Minister Chidambaram, etc were amongst the guests to attend the event. Other awards include.

ATV producers are responsible for attack on Dookudu

Everybody opined that Mahesh Babu already briefed that he has no political aspirations nor he made any remarks against Telangana movement but why was he targeted? At a time when the movie buffs are clueless as to why the T-activists targeted Mahesh Babu's Dookudu shooting at Vikarabad, it was reported that ATV producers are responsible for this attack.

Apparently, ATV management purchased few acres of land in Vikarabad. They promised the villagers (who are sacrificing the land) that they would construct a steel factory and even provide employment to all the localities. They had even rolled out offer letters to everyone but after giving the land, the ATV guys gave the job to all outsiders. Now this has badly hurt  the Vikarabad villagers and they have decided to attack the ATV in some way or the other. Remember, they even stopped the shooting of 'Bindaas', which was also produced by ATV. Even Megastar Chiranjeevi has condemned attack on the shooting of Mahesh Babu's Dookudu. Saying that its not the right kind of attitude and spirit to be evinced. Since TRS activists were there at the shooting spot they have lent support to the villagers moment and disturbed the shooting. This means T-students are not against Mahesh Babu but against Dookudu film's producers.

Tollywood eyes on sexy Amala!

Although character of Amala paul in ‘Nanna’ is limited with Vikram and Anushka running away with major honors yet the sex appeal in her seems to have attracted insiders of Telugu film industry. Yes, the Mallu girl might land in one of the big projects of Tollywood, if everything goes as per her luck. Amala was introduced to films in 2009 but real break with ‘Mynaa’ gave her much needed recognition in Kollywood.

Now, ‘Naanna’ made even Telugu heroes, producers and directors to turn their eye on Amala. Everybody has to accept that Tollywood is going through shortage of heroines and Amala being the right pack of glam and performance might find a bright chance to grow big.
