After Rayalaseema mega fans, its now the turn of Vijayawada mega fans to step on to the gas. Vijayawada mega fans once again threw challenge at Mahesh Babu fan bases asking them to prove their Dookudu records. Its being claimed that Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu crossed Ram Charan’s Magadheera records, and mega fans from Vijayawada directly challenged Mahesh Babu fan base by issuing a press note. They even announced a cash prize if they can prove their Dookudu records. This press statement from Mega fans has become the great buzz since it came in the wake of Dookudu 50 days function, which is being held in Vijayawada. Further Dookudu producers also said that they would reveal all the details with proofs about the collections. So it’ll be interesting to see how things fare now!

Action King Arjun is going to act in the role of antagonist in maven director Maniratnam’s upcoming venture. Reports revealed that this film is going to be a romantic love story. Veteran actor Karthik’s son Gautham is acting in the role of protagonist in this flick. Sources close to this creative director stated that, Amrutha fame child artist Karthika and actress Radha’s second daughter Tulasi names are under consideration for the role of female lead. Maniratnam is an expert in elevating upcoming heroines to standard levels and hence heavy suspense is clouded to know the conformed heroine.

Mahesh Babu @ Dookudu 50days Celebrations Today!!

Prince Mahesh Babu ‘Dookudu’ is completing 50days and celebrating in a grand manner at a glittering function to be held in Vijayawada at Siddhartha College Grounds on 12th November,2011. All the ways are leading to Vijayawada as fans are keen to catch the glimpse of their matinee idol live along with tollywood beauties that are sure to sizzle in front of them. It is already known that Mahesh Babu and Sukumar are teaming up to make a film and buzz is that they will make a formal announcement at the function tomorrow 12th Nov 2011. The film is being produced on 14 reels entertainment banner by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta. This is their second venture after their trend setter ‘Dookudu’ and they have chosen a special occasion to make this special announcement. Winking star Tamanna is romancing with Mahesh in this film. Ratnavelu is handling camera for the film and sources rule out the possibility of Prince becoming a lecturer for the film as reported earlier in various channels. They say his role will be stylish, charming and completely different from his earlier films.

Prabhu-Nayan Wedding @ Valentine's

It has been quite a while since the buzz was on about the wedding of Prabhu Deva and Nayantara. And now the update is the love birds will become one in the month of February 2012.  This has reportedly been revealed by a Kollywood film maker in whose film Prabhu Deva has worked. 
However, the other version is that nothing of that sort has been finalised. Meanwhile, grapevine was making rounds that Prabhu Deva went and met his children without the knowledge of Nayan and this enraged her. For this, our man reportedly had to go out of his way to set things right and he also paid for her instalments.
 
Another source mentions that Nayan has been disposing some priced properties of hers as she is running short of cash. Buzz is that she already sold her posh flat in Bangalore and is gearing up to sell another property in Madurai. On the bright side, the couple is reportedly searching for a decent property in Chennai. 
Apparently, sources say Nayan is determined to prove her detractors that she is very serious about her commitment to Prabhu Deva and wants to lead a meaningful life. She is seen accompanying Prabhu wherever he goes. On the film front, the producers have not given up and it is heard that they are still making rounds of Nayan offering her big bucks. But the lovely starlet has been turning down the offers, as per sources. Anyways, the big question still remains- when is the wedding?

Dark truth about Naga Chaitanya's Bejawada!

Gossip winery is abuzz that the ongoing 'drama' of Ram Gopal Varma to keep Bejawada in news is a ploy. Rumor has it that Ram Gopal Varma have intentionally created these controversies over the film to bring instant craze to it.
RGV isn't either creatively involved in Bejawada film, say film nagar people. After toying with the idea of making this film in his direction, Ramu decided to stay away from the creative part and took over the project as a controversy maker. He did try a bit to make controversy before starting the film.
Ramu went on to build on the controversy by creating an issue over Bejawada Rowdeelu title. After some time he maintained silence for a while and with the film getting nearer to the release date, he started the game again. This is a deliberate ploy to attract the attention of audience, is what buzz says. Ramu proved time and again that controversy sells in cinema. We have to see if audiences are ready to fall in his trap yet again or not!

One of the most talked about and much awaited movies of the season is 'The Businessman'. The fact that it is bringing together the crazy combo of Mahesh Babu and Puri Jagannadh has set the bars high. Also, the speed with which it is getting canned has become an element of surprise for many.
As promised by Puri, the first look of the film was released today and a teaser also was unveiled. Those who saw the teaser were appealed by the backdrop of the scene. As usual, Mahesh whips his punch dialogue about getting confused. Overall, the 30 second treat is making Mahesh fans ask for more.The film is being scheduled for a release on January 11th, 2012 and Mahesh is pairing up with the Kajal Agarwal. While some say it is a hard hitting action treat, others say it is a total commercial masala treat. The mystery will be revealed when the film will hit the screens.

Mahesh Babu @ Sukumar film announcement

Creative director Sukumar is teaming up with Super Star Mahesh Babu in a new film. The film will be produced by Anil Sunkara, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. This will be their second film with Mahesh after super hit Dookudu. Tamanna is likely to play heroine of the film.

This film’s announcement will be made on November 12 at Dookudu 50 days function. Director Sukumar is going to attend the occasion. The film will start its regular shooting from early next year. Sukumar has finished the script work of the film. According to our sources, Mahesh is not going to play lecturer in the movie. He is going to appear super stylish and essaying a new role which is different from his previous films. Ratnavelu will handle the camera for this movie. More details later.

Gabbar Singh @ release advances by a week

Looks like Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Gabbar Singh is going to complete its shooting formalities sooner than expected. We’ve reported that the film is expected to release on April 27 yesterday. But, when we contacted the producer for more information, he shocked us by announcing that Gabbar Singh would be advanced by a week. That means, the film is going to hit the screens on April 20. The talkie part of the film will be completed by February.

The shooting of the film is going on at brisk pace and we came to know that the unit will leave to Pollachi for a 45 day long schedule soon. Shruti Haasan is paired opposite Pawan Kalyan in this film which is the official remake of bollywood film Dabangg. Harish Shankar is directing the film on Parameswara Arts banner.

Sampath Nandi @ impressed Chiranjeevi in Racha shoot

Director Sampath Nandi who made his debut with Evvaraina Eppudaina has bagged a big film in the form of Racha. The film is currently shooting at Annapurna Studios in a specially erected set where the director is canning Vana Vana remix song on Charan and Tamanna. The news is that Mega Star Chiranjeevi has made a surprise visit to the sets of Racha and watched the song shoot.
Reportedy, Chiru has spent quality time in the sets and gave few suggestions to his son Ram Charan. He also appreciated director Sampath Nandi and choreographer for wonderful output. The original version was shot on Chiru and Vijaya Shanti.Earlier, Ram Charan had remixed Chiranjeevi’s Bangaru Kodi Petta song for his magnum opus Magadheera. 

Ram Charan @ Young blood boiling again

Within just few years in the Industry, Ram Charan has earned a name for himself as one who always speaks his mind. He is not apprehensive in raising his voice against anyone or anything. The issue of Dasari is a best example for it! And the young blood is boiling again. This time it's not on Dasari and not on any Film Personality. His latest target happens to be the UPA Government and the Finance minister Pranab Mukherjee.

He said the Pawan is at his best in the posters and teasers of the much-awaited film 'Panjaa'. "Power kalyan is looking ravistic in PANJA posters and teaser. Eagerly waiting for the movie..," he said.

Story:

Chandu (Siddarth), Siri (Shruti Haasan) are very close friends. Siri
loves Uday (Navadeep) and Chandu falls in love with Ritu (Hansika). All will not be well between the friends once their lovers come into their lives. Their deep bond of friendship causes differences in their love and they break up with their lovers. The conclusion for this problem is to be seen on screen.

Performances:  Siddarth is good like always. His emotional outburst in the penultimate scene is pretty good. Shruti Haasan came up with a natural performance. She is lovable as Siri. Hansika is on the weightier side. She did an okay job. Navadeep gave another confident performance. Tanikella Bharani is standard. Ali is just Okay.

Analysis:

It’s a very simple story which we had seen in films like Iddaru Mitrulu and Nuvve Kavali. So the plot is not entirely new to our audiences. However, unlike Iddaru Mitrulu, here the film has youthful appeal and also gives a different conclusion to Nuvve Kavali type friends.
Director Venu Sriram tried to explore the gender differences in friendship and the consequences. He did a neat job up to some extent. He gave a very strong conclusion to the story which would convince anybody. But he missed few essential factors that make a complete film.

Entertainment is barely there. No comedy is included in the narrative. The focus is mainly on four principle characters and there are no sub plots at all. Had he come up with a better narrative which entertains and passes the strong message, this would have been a modern classic.
Sadly his script lacked the universal appeal and purely one dimensional leaving the fate of the film to the young audience. If youth lap this film up it will have a decent run and if they reject it would suffer big time.

Finally:

Oh My Friend is targeted at the youth and they should relate to the main plot of the movie. Saying so, it may not appeal to each and every youngster as the issue is not a universal problem. If you have a best buddy from the opposite gender, it would surely appeal to you. So everything depends upon how anyone could relate to this subject. If not for anything go for the superb music and stunning visuals.
