Dhoni @ banned for one Test Match

Team India captain MS Dhoni has been banned for the final Test against Australia due to a slow over rate during the third Test Match in Perth. India bowled 76 overs in 362 minutes in the only innings they bowled in at the WACA ground, Australia. Even after considering the allowances for taking all the the 10 wickets, interruptions like sight screen adjustments and injury timeouts, India were still short of the target by 2 overs.


Dhoni was fined 40% of his match fees and his teammates were fined for 20% each. This was India's second over-rate offence in the last 12 months.
As per the ICC code of conduct, The captains of Teams would be suspended for one match when found guilty of two over-rate offences within 12 months.
In Dhoni's absence, Virender Sehwag will captain the side in the fourth test at Adelaide. Wriddhiman Saha will replace Dhoni, is the reserve wicketkeeper on tour.

Mahesh Babu @ Set to storm Bollywood!!

Superstar Mahesh Babu is one actor in Tollywood who can cross the language barriers without much difficulty. With this gifted quality, he is now planing to extend his market further. Yes, Mahesh Babu is all set to storm Bollywood with the remake of 'Businessman'. "I would be working on the Hindi remake of Businessman in 2012," said Mahesh Babu.
Though several filmmakers tried to rope in Mahesh for their Bollywood project in the past, he turned those offers down. But the success of 'Businessman' have made him think otherwise. Mahesh is of an opinion that 'Businessman' is an universal subject and will connect with the people breaking down the language barriers.
And the added advantage is that Director Puri Jagannath, who is a known face in Bollywood after the success of 'Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap' with Amitabh Bachchan, would be directing the remake. The combo of Mahesh and Puri always worked big time and is sure to rock again.
There is an opinion in the film circles that South Stars should have something special in them to make a mark in the Hindi Film Industry. Is Mahesh having that special quality? Don't worry - Mahesh don't have to be special, he was just born that way!!!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is looking forward to working with Vidya Balan.
"She is a wonderful actor. I haven't seen 'The Dirty Picture' but I will see it tomorrow. I have seen 'Ishqiya' on DVD and I just loved her performance. I have also seen 'Paa'," Shah Rukh told reporters.
"Apart from being a marvelous actress, I think all these girls are such huge stars. I believe girls are very hard working compared to boys. I hope I get a chance to work with her," he added.
Vidya too seemed to be thrilled at the prospect.
"Why not, I would love to work with him," she replied when asked about working with Shah Rukh.
Shah Rukh Khan is presently working on his next untitled film with Yash Raj Films, where he will share screen space with Katrina Kaif.

His name itself sends shocks across the trade circuits for the kind of films he is into. Though his products are always duds at the Box Office, he is still in demand. Can you believe it? The man in discussion is Flop Star Nitin.

As per reports, Nitin is said to be quoting an whopping remuneration of 1 crore for the guys approaching him. When asked about the huge quote, he is said to be saying that inorder to escape all the offers he is getting, the huge quotation is the only option. Cine Observers are saying that there are no offers for Nitin on the road except the ready-for-release flick ISHQ. 
Another speculation is that Nitin is creating a demand kind of situation to create a buzz in Film Industry and among producers. His father Sudhakar Reddy is said to be the brainy behind these operations to retain a 'name' for Nitin. Only a hit can save Nitin and all these buzz generating ideas can only generate few laughs but not buzz, is the opinion of many.

Exclusive @ Interview With Ilayathalapathy 'Vijay'!!

Vijay is cool and composed as usual. The Ilayathalapathy of Tamil cinema is on cloud nine as Nanban released for Pongal is running to packed houses and the film has taken a gargantuan opening at the ticket windows. His fans have accepted the film and audience worldwide say that the remake from 3 Idiots, a cult classic was indeed an image-make over for the star. But Vijay begs to differ with this observation.
Sridevi Sreedhar, met up with Vijay after Nanban took the biggest-ever first-day opening. Excerpts 
Are you happy about the response that Nanban has been receiving?
I am pleased (smiled) that everyone likes the film.  It is the victory of the script. 
They say Nanban is a faithful remake and that’s why it worked. Was it a conscious effort to stick to the original?
Yes, initially when I met up with Shankar, he was very clear that we should not tamper with the script. He made a few subtle nativity changes, dialogues, the look and the songs. Rest of it is the same. 
But how were you convinced about doing a remake like this, in which you didn’t have a mass hero image?
( Thinking) I had seen 3 Idiots when it released and loved the film. Never in my wildest dream did I think that I will do the remake. But when Gemini approached me, I was in two minds but soon I heard that Shankar will direct the film and I was sure that it was a risk worth taking.

How was it working with Shankar?

He was a treat to work with. He gave me complete freedom and I realized that having done few dramas earlier, he is an amazing actor himself and that’s why he can enact the right emotion he wants for you.  
Were you influenced by Aamir Khan’s acting in 3 Idiots?
Like I said earlier, I infused my style and body language to the role. But there are certain cute expressions that Aamir did in 3 Idiots which I didn’t want to miss and so I incorporated it in Nanban. 
Are you changing tracks and trying to reinvent your image with Nanban?
I have been doing different kind of films for a long time and it’s surprising that you are making a note of it now.  I have worked on diverse films likeKathalikku Mariyadai, Thullatha Manavum Thullum, Friends or Kaavalan at regular intervals. Somehow this news of me changing tracks with reputed directors like Shankar, Murugadoss and Gautham Menon has been doing the rounds. 
Let me tell you that I always wanted to work in varied scripts but sadly no such scripts came knocking at my doors.  And I was forced to go back and make a minimum guarantee mass film with four action scenes, song ‘n’ dances and viola,  a film was ready. Films like Nanban has to happen and we can’t plan and go search for it. 
Tell us about the rapport you shared with Jiiva and Srikanth?
 When we started the film, I hardly knew them but by the time the film ended, I got two buddies for life. We bonded well and that shows in the film. They both did their respective roles with conviction and I love the scene when Srikanth confronts his dad. It was very touching. 
All the songs are picturised lavishly. Which is your favourite?Aska Laska and En Frienda Pola are my favourites. But lot of people likeIrukkaanna choreographed by Farah Khan. 
Heard that your wife Sangeetha hugged you after watching the film?
Yes, she was so happy and even said that it is my career best film.  I went for some promotions after the first show and came back home late but my son was waiting for me. When I stepped out of my car he pulled down his pants and said “Thalaiva you are great” like how Jiiva and Srikanth does in the film. I was so touched and it was the biggest compliment I received.

A reference to the superstar or an important scene in a blockbuster star film is shown as cinema within cinema.

Police Cops @ Necking Out at BusinessMan!!

Police cops are necking out kids from the theatres of ‘Businessman’.
It is known that the film got A certificate and the kids aged below 18 are not allowed into the theatres.
The family crowds are coming to theatres as usual (as Magadheera also rated A) but facing tough time from police cops and theatre managers. They are not allowing into the theatres despite purchasing tickets. They are also taking class to parents how they can come along with kids for an A rated movie. The police are ordering the parents to submit tickets at the counter and take the money back. The dejected families are returning homes scolding the system.


Rajesh, a parent who faced this situation at PVR Punjagutta said, “We stay nearby and hence found no pain to return back. But there were many families those have come all the way driving from far places. Their situation is pitiful. What the hell is this A certificate? After all we know, Mahesh Babu will not act in the way the kids cannot watch. And Businessman is not a blue film and we know that. What is this censor board and police in between? We hate this system”.
“I returned back to give back my tickets at the counter as police asked to do so. But a group of 4 guys bought them from me. Businessman turned houseful despite we were necked out. Producers will be happy and fans will be happy for getting tickets. But we have to take all the pain of travel from home to theatre. I booked tickets in advance and what’s the use now?”, a parent expressed the grief.
“When I asked what to do when theater manager didn’t allow me, he asked me to watch Bodyguard as that’s U certificate. I know A certificates will be given by censor board for many films. But the implementation of law happens only by influence. I think the makers of Bodyguard used his influence to divert the family crowds of Businessman to Bodyguard”, Amarnath, a parent, expressed his opinion.
So, we have to see how far this scenario affects the business of businessman.
