Mahesh Babu has got his own brand when it comes to his films and their impact at the box office. And he has never relied on his physique to impress the audience. However, given today’s demand, the hero is expected to be physically fit and flaunt the muscles wherever required.
That is something Mahesh’s bava Sudheer Babu has realized and his efforts have shocked even actor Sunil. Apparently, Sunil was being hailed for his fabulous body and his chiseled abs. It was a shocker to see him in ‘Poola Rangadu’. However, it is heard that Sunil himself is in a state of shock looking at Sudheer.
Well, Sudheer has slogged it out at the gym and has pumped himself up to build a fantastic physique. Recently, few stills were released wherein his eight-packs were revealed and the veins are simply waiting to jut out of the body. If Sudheer can deliver a performance like Sunil then he sure would become a tough competition.
Mahesh Babu's younger brother in law Sudheer Babu is desperately trying to win the hearts of fans and Telugu audience, but he chose the wrong time to make debut. There were times when Mahesh took his own time to do films. But now the superstar realized the importance of doing more films at a quick pace. Sudheer probably chose the worst time to make debut, because Mahesh fans are not searching for other options at this juncture.
When Mahesh Babu's new film is releasing for every four months, who would want to watch another hero from his family just for the time being. That turned out to be the biggest blow for Sudheer and his debut film SMS was blown away without leaving any trace. Now the young man is trying to come up with six pack abs, for which he has hired a fitness expert.
But again, Sudheer is too late in sporting his six pack abs. Why because Mahesh himself is undergoing serious physical training to remove his shirt off for the first time on screen. He has hired an international fitness expert by paying him a hefty sum. When Mahesh himself is going shirtless to show off his six pack abs, who would care about his brother in law? Better luck next time dude!
Prince Mahesh Babu and his mania at the box office needs no introduction. Right now, another member from his family is doing his best to grow in the circuit. He is Sudheer Babu, brother- in-law of Mahesh who recently made his debut with the film 'SMS'. Though the film didn't work much, Sudheer got few decent marks for his dance and fights.
Now, it is heard that he is all set to take off with another movie and this one is slated to be a total action entertainer. This is going to be directed by Vamsi Krishna Akella who made the horror flick 'Raksha'. Buzz is that a noted producer is helming this project and Sudheer from his end wants to give his hundred percent.
Since it is just the starting stage and there is a long way for Sudheer to go, the cine folks are waiting to see whether he can reach atleast half of his 'Bava's success and graphs. While he looks confident, the coming years will give a clear picture on how fate will shape up his career.
Superstar Mahesh Babu is a very positive person and also ensures that the people around him are in a positive state of mind. He strongly believes that positive attitude helps us to overcome the hurdles and also the negatives in us.

SMS is being promoted by Krishna family in an aggressive way. They are encouraging Sudhir as they believe that he could make it big in film industry.
Mahesh Babu's family is leaving no stone unturned to promote Sudheer Babu, the new born star from the 'Superstars camp'. Sudheer is brother in law of Mahesh, and is a very enthusiastic actor. He has undergone serious training in martial arts and critical dance moves. Sudheer has exhibited all his skills in his debut film SMS.
Sudheer is getting full blown support from entire family of his in laws. Mahesh is making free time between his tight schedules to promote Sudheer. Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala and Manjula have been doing their best to register to the audience that Sudheer is from their family. Krishna and co might have noticed that there is space for Sudheer to grow as a star.
Mahesh and Krishna fans have been on a high with back to back blockbusters and Sudheer may not get better time for a launch. He should get ample support from Ghattamaneni fans as they didn't have another hero to cheer for. Let us see if Sudheer has it in him to make a mark for himself on the celluloid.

Story:Siva (Sudhir) is a courier boy, who falls in love with RJ Shruti (Regina) at the first sight. They cheat each other by telling lies about their professions and later they come to know about the actual facts. Cat and mouse game starts between the two which eventually turns into unexpressed love. Siva’s odd behavior puts Shruti off and the couple gets separated. How they unite forms the climax of the film.
Analysis:
SMS is a romantic comedy which doesn’t take itself serious. That is the beauty of this cute little fun film. The film starts off on a dull note. Initial scenes don’t impress you much. But once the ‘love fight’ starts between the lead pair, things get smoother and funnier.
There are numerous one liners that will have you in splits. Also the love story seems cute and sweet in the first hour. Despite some shortcomings, SMS first half does impress the audience. Second half too is dealt in a lighter vein mode.
Inconsistency in hero’s characterization seems to be the biggest problem for SMS. He doesn’t act wise and speaks trash that puts the heroine as well as the audience off. Director made it up with the neatly done climax sequence.
SMS is a movie for young audience and it will please the target audiences. It is worth a watch for the comedy and freshness.
Performances: Sudhir did a fine job for a first timer. He is good at dances. Voice seems to be his biggest weakness. Performance wise he is okay. Regina is the find of the season. She did a brilliant job. Vinay Mohan is hilarious with his comedy punches. Vennela Kishore too excelled in his role. Saranya is loud. Tagubothu Ramesh did his usual ‘drunkard’ comedy in one scene. Kasi Viswanadh and others are okay in their respective roles.
Technicalities:
Music by Selva Ganesh is average. Songs are good to watch, but not great on ears. Nandyala Ravi’s dialogues are pretty good. Chitti Babu’s cinematography is just okay. There is nothing noticeable on the editor’s part. Production values are fine.
Director Tatineni Satya handled the movie well barring few odd scenes. He should try to make a straight movie as remakes will never give the clear picture about a director’s talent. He made subtle yet effective changes to the original script and that is laudable.
Final Word:
SMS is a fun movie which should get good response from the target audience. It falls in the category of films like Ala Modalaindi, Ashta Chamma etc. Watch SMS if you liked those films.
Although he is the brother-in-law of Mahesh Babu and is being introduced with the support of 'Ghattamaneni Vamsham', he seems to have followed the way Power Star Pawan Kalyan was introduced to tollywood through 'Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi'. Yes, we are talking about Naga sudhir babu, the nephew of Krishna, who is being introduced as a hero through the movie, 'S.M.S. Siva Manasulo Shruthi'.
It is a known thing that Pawan Kalyan showed the extraordinary feats in 'Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi' like, to allow the wheels of a car run on his palms, brick breaking, stone breaking on his stomach, fire fighting etc.However, Prince Mahesh Babu has never done such feats in his movies. Now, sudhir babu is doing some wonderful feats in 'SMS' movie, as Pawan Kalyan did the same through his first movie. Sources say Pawan Kalyan might have been a hidden inspiration for sudhir babu in doing these feats.
Mahesh Babu is the only hero in the recent times that was solely bearing the burden of continuing the legacy of his father. All other families have more than one hero to do so. Now Mahesh Babu's brother in law Sudhir Babu raised up his hand to have a go at the box office.
Sudhir is making debut with SMS movie that is lined up for release on February 10. Sudhir sports six pack abs in this film. He is a natural fighter with athletic body and he could be a good action hero with that chiseled body. Sudhir also is a very good dancer. He might be considered as one of the best dancing heroes in T town.
Dances and Six pack abs are something that Mahesh Babu can't associate with. His fans are a little bit disappointed in this aspect. Now they have Sudhir to fill that gap. So now Mahesh family too has a complete package of heroes who doesn't compete with each other but combined together could give other groups of heroes run for their money.
