Ram Charan has been planning to make debut in Bollywood soon. Recent media reports say that he is making debut with Zanjeer remake. This film will be made in Telugu and Hindi and will be launched by the end of this year.
Latest reports from few sections of media say that Deepika Padukone might play the female lead in this movie. Deepika and Charan were earlier seen together in a cola ad and they share a good relation. So we can expect Deepika to oblige to the offer.
Rumors are rife that this film will be made on a high budget. If the rumors are to be believed, Zanzeer will be remade with a whopping 70 crore rupees.
King Nagarjuna’s new film 'Shirdi Sai' with director K.Raghavendra Rao was launched on February 2nd in Badami, Karnataka. Currently regular shooting of Shirdi Sai is going on in and around Badami and it will continue till Feb 20. A.Mahesh Reddy is producing this film on Sai Krupa Entertainments banner.
Nagarjuna is doing Sai Baba’s role for the first time in his career. MM Keeravaani composing music for this film. Veda Vyas and Chandra Bose are the lyric writer. Bhaktha Suresh Kumar is providing the story and Paruchuri Brothers are penning dialogues for this film. S Gopal Reddy is the cameraman.
Director Shankar has a great track record in Telugu till now. Every film of his has done well in Telugu. Few films of Shankar didn’t fare well in Tamil but were hits in Telugu. For the first time in his illustrious career, Shankar failed to set the Tollywood box office on fire.
Shankar’s recent release Snehitudu ended up as a commercial flop. Despite being a hit in Tamil, Nanban’s Telugu version hasn’t been received well by the Telugu audience. Perhaps Telugu audiences are expecting original stuff from Shankar and they have rejected a remake film.
Even Shankar decided not to take up remakes in the future. He is currently on a holiday and will decide on his next film after he is back in India.
Finally it's official, the upcoming film of ace director Maniratnam has been titled as 'Kadal'.
Earlier it was spreaded widely that the film was titled as Pookadai but he denied the media reports with this official announcement.
But the star cast remains the same with Karthik's son Gautham playing the lead role, but the female role was grabbed by Samantha says sources.
Also Arjun, Arvind Swamy, Thambi Ramaiah will be seen in significant roles in Kadal. This will be Maniratnam's Love story after his evergreen romantic film 'Alaipayuthey' starring Madhavan and Shalini in the lead roles.
Also AR Rahman will be composing music for Kadal, Cinematography by Rajiv Menon, Editing by Sreekar Prasad and produced under his own banner Madras Talkies.

Dammu was supposed to be shot in the same location that Gabbar Singh has booked. Dammu team asked producer Ganesh Babu to allow them to shoot first, but fearing the delay of his movie, Ganesh didn't agree to give them the location. Pawan Kalyan came to know about this and asked Ganesh Babu to allow them to have the location first. NTR was bowled over by Power star's helping nature and thanked Pawan personally.

First up is ‘Dammu’, directed by Boyapati Sreenu and the movie is gearing for release in April. His next movie is with Srinu Vaitla for which the script work is currently going on. Young rebel star Prabhas has always been tagged as the perfect match for a hero with rugged looks, towering height and a muscular physique. While he has been the heartthrob for ladies, he has been the adrenaline rush for men. Now, it is heard that Prabhas is likely to do a remake from Bollywood.
News is that a top shot producer has been trying real hard to bag the remake rights of the Bollywood bumper hit 'Agneepath'. Now, it is heard that the producer is in talks with producer Karan Johar and if the deal goes through then Prabhas is likely to step into the shoes of Hrithik Roshan to do the lead role.
The original had legend Amitabh Bachchan in the lead and if all this works then this would be a highlight project in Prabhas's career. From a long time, Prabhas fans have been eager to see him in a role which is similar to 'Chatrapathi'. Let us hope this deal works and the news is true.
Prince Mahesh Babu has been ruling the roost at the Tollywood box office after the brief lull he had during the time of ‘Athidhi’ and ‘Khaleja’. While that is one side, here is a recent update which goes to show that he has some real guts and belief in the directors he works with.
Sources reveal that even before ‘Businessman’ and ‘Dookudu’ Mahesh okayed ‘Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. However, since director Srikanth Addala was working slowly the other two projects came and scored hits. Recently, it is heard that Mahesh called Srikanth and had a discussion.
He reportedly mentioned “You might want to change the script due to the current scenario, but don’t worry. Do as per your conviction, we will go by that.” Usually, heroes tend to get cautious after scoring a hit and rework on the script so that the projection is more on them but what Mahesh did is a great and gutsy thing.
jr.NTR is now doing Dammu. He has also committed to doing a film in the direction of Srinu Vytla. Now Puri Jagannath has confirmed that he is making a film with jr. NTR. Puri is announcing one project after another in quick succession. So the first question is as to when the NTR-Puri film will begin shooting.

As per the sources, Shankar is planning to make a tri-lingual movie in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. Prabhas, Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal will be the heroes in the three languages respectively.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif is considered to be the heroine for all the languages. So, we can expect that she will be pairing up with Prabhas in Telugu version of the movie. Jackie Chan is likely to play an important role. A.R.Rehman will compose the music for this interesting project. It is understood that the makers confirmed the movie's title for Tamil version as 'Thalaivan Irukkindran'. Oskar Ravi Chandran will produce this crazy project. However, the official confirmation of this project is awaited.
Vijay’s sudden appearance among his fans at the theaters screening Nanban in Coimbatore. The star was spotted at the Central, KG Big Cinema and Archana-Darsana in Coimbatore on the back of Nanban’s immense success.

NTR Jr. is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars of Telugu cinema. Despite his huge fan following and excellent acting skills, NTR failed to set the box office on fire in the recent past. His movies failed to change the dynamics and numbers of Tollywood box office. NTR has no movie that crossed 30 crore collections till date.
On the other hand Mahesh has three movies that surpassed 35 crore mark. Mahesh delivered back to back blockbusters with Dookudu and Businessman movies, which proved his potential at the box office. NTR might be very much impressed with Mahesh's judgmental skills as he is blindly following Mahesh Babu now.
NTR is signing in directors whoever works with Mahesh. After Srinu Vytla and Puri Jagannadh, NTR is planning to do a film with Sukumar, who is doing his next film with Mahesh. Although NTR and Mahesh are very big stars, their image is different and their fans are different. It is hard to say if the very directors could pull off similar hits with NTR or not.
