The most awaited film of the year has arrived. This is the mass hysteria that seldom covers entire state. While Mahesh Babu is on the apex of stardom with the industry super hit Dookudu on one hand, Puri Jagannath is on top gaining national reputation after directing ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’. Despite his last Telugu film, Nenu Na Rakshasi’ couldn’t do well, the expectations of audience on the combination of Puri and Mahesh (reminding Pokiri) are always on high.

When it comes to the festival of Sankranthi the Tollywood folks treat it with great respect and reverence. While on the work front, they release some of the promising and big budget movies, on the personal front, they ensure that they spend time with their families and stay away from work.


However, that doesn't seem to be the case with the team of the film 'Gabbar Singh'. Reports say that despite the festival holidays for almost three days, the team has reportedly decided to continue with their shooting without a break. The objective is to wrap up the schedule on time without any delays.
Buzz is that the man behind this is director Harish Shankar. Unit members reveal he is working with a strong 'Kasi' to ensure that Pawan Kalyan scores a big hit with 'Gabbar Singh'. Currently, the shooting is happening in Hyderabad and it is produced by Ganesh while Devi Sri Prasad is the music maker.

Will Surya Bhai @ Shakes the Telugu Film Industry?

Prince Mahesh Babu’s high voltage entertainer ‘Businessman’ is all set to hit the screens tomorrow and the movie is carrying tremendous buzz everywhere. Mahesh Babu’s punch dialogues and ultra cool look in the film is raising the expectations. Kajal’s hot glamour show is upping the ante as well. Mahesh Babu will be seen as Surya Bhai, a person who comes to Mumbai and takes over the Underworld with his courage and intelligence. The film has been shot extensively in Mumbai and Goa.
With a record release all over the world, the movie will rake in tremendous openings and the Holiday season will be a major boost. If the movie receives a good talk on Day 1,it will go on to turn in a blockbuster performance as there are only two other films in the fray for Sankranthi. Let us see whether Surya Bhai can shake the industry once more.

KV here is referring to Dialogue Writer Kona Venkat, not Krishna Vamsi or anyone else. Kona Venkat is in the Industry for many years and has several blockbusters to his credit. If we have a close look at his career graph, his popularity has skyrocketed ever since Dookudu has hit the screens. Is there anyone who could forget MS Narayana's 'Kalla Kinda Carry Bags ..." dialogue?


Currently, Kona Venkat is penning the dialogues for handful of films (Pawan Kalyan's film, Venkatesh's Bodyguard, Sreenu Vaitla-NTR film ACTION- with entertainment, Venkatesh-Meher Ramesh film, Vishnu-Hansika film, Salman Khan's No Entry 2, Sanjay Dutt-Ajay Devagan film[Hindi remake of Srinu Vytla's Dhee] and etc.,). He is running out of time to complete the projects which he already signed and now several filmmakers are desperately trying to rope him for their new projects.
"I wish there are 36hrs in a day, 41 days in a month and 565 days in a year. 2012 keeping me too too busy," said Kona Venkat, reacting to pressure from filmmakers.
Even though if we are unaware of the fact that Kona Venkat has been part of a particular film before thronging into the theaters, the dialogues in the film make you realise it. Ileana @ is Back with a Bang!!

Since the inception of her career, Ileana is considered a glam doll and was always seen as a decorative item in films, but with ace filmmaker Shankar's 'Nanban' ('3 Idiots' Tamil remake, 'Snehitudu' in Telugu) she has proved everyone wrong. The film which is released in over 500+ screens as a Sankranthi treat on January 12, is carrying superhit talk all over and Ileana earned some brownie points with her impressive performance.


'Nanban' stars Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth and Ileana in the lead roles. Ileana portrayed the role of a medical student done by Kareena Kapoor in the original. Her onscreen chemistry with Vijay is crackling. She emotes well especially in the pre-climax scene and her dance moves in the film are a treat to watch. People instinctively raised their eyebrows when Ileana was roped in to play Kareena's role and that too for the remake of '3 Idiots'. But, Ileana has done it to perfection and gave a fitting reply.
Lookslike, Ileana is the best phase of her career with some exciting projects in her kitty. She would be making her Bollywood debut with 'Barfee' opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2012. Followed by Akshay Kumar's 'Khiladi 786' and a multi-starrer film 'Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2' with Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor. In Telugu, she is working for Allu Arjun-Trivikran film and also signed Idiot 2 with Raviteja and Puri Jagannath. After 'Nanban', Tamil producers would que up for Ileana for sure. With all these indications we can come to a conclusion that Ileana is back with a bang after a career slump!!!

As the big day for the release of prince Mahesh Babu’s flm businessman arrives there is a lot of anxiety excitement among the fans. businessman is the first big film to hit the screens in 2012. So in a way the film will be a precursor to things to unfold this year. The industry needs many big hits and businessman could be the one to begin the year on a positive note.


While the buzz is fairly positive, the fans are a bit apprehensive. This is due to some mixed talk that the film has generated. Some reports suggest that the film may not be as good as expected. Still doubts remain. There is no doubt that prince Mahesh Babu will deliver a thunderous show. The doubts are over what Puri Jagnnath has done. If the film has too much violence and too little comedy or entertainment as some reports suggest then the film may be affected.

Story:
It is all about one man's intelligence in exposing the flaws of our educational system. A campus story with characters speaking on friendship, love and laughter. Venkatramakrishnan (Srikanth), Sevalkodi Senthil (Jeeva) and Panchavan Parivendan (Pari) (Vijay), are three engineering students who share the same room in their college.
Venki is studying engineering to pursue his father's wishes over his own wish. Senthil studies to raise his family's fortunes and get them out of poverty. On the other hand, Pari studies for simple passion in machines and devices. Pari is admirable and adrable character who believes that memorising definitions or doing what professors say won't benefit. He understands things and puts them to practice and achieves success in studies. He is more a practical man.


The principal of the college Virumandi Santhanam aka Virus (Sathyaraj) has ideas in total contrast to Pari. He loves other student Srivatsan (Silencer), who memories his lessons and gets good colours.
Pari comes across daughter of Virus Riya (Illeana) and falls for her.For Virus, Pari and his two friends is mere stupid’s. Thanks to Pari, both Venki and Senthil study well. Pari pass out in flying colours. Meanwhile Pari's heroics, wins him the adulation of all around. Pari helps his friends achieve their dreams. But after exams, Pari disappears. Venki and Senthil with Riya in the company begin their search for Pari. What they encounter in their search shocks them. Did they succeed in their mission or not forms the climax?


Performance:
A mass hero like Vijay to do such a role needs amazing guts. A man with great brains, he does all things in a casual manner. Vijay seems to have got under the skin of the character to excel. What more he looks trim fit and fine for the role of a student. Jeeva and Srikanth give him good company. Jeeva looks bubbly and energetic and Srikanth replicates what Maddy did in the original. Ileana is impressive and gets a meaty role to do while Sathyaraj as strict professor and Sathyan in a comical role impresses. A cameo by S J Suryah and Anuya worth a watch.

Analysis:
A winner is already in Shankar's hands in the form of Three idiots. He seems to have made it crisply to suit Tamil audience. He has not made any big changes to the script and struck to the original. With Vijay underplaying his emotions and the star cast around playing their part well, Nanban ends up a sweet friend who you love to meet in your life daily.Nanban is a family entertainer with a nice message. It is not only for Vijay fans, but for all the Tamil audience. And it is definitely better than the Original version.
Finally: Must watch  

'Dookudu' Fate @ Not Working For 'Businessman'

When a film scores a hit it is not just about the content or the star power, there are few external factors to it. The most important aspect is the availability of the theatres and this is something which also worked in the favour of the blockbuster hit ‘Dookudu’s release in Tamil Nadu.


It is heard that when ‘Dookudu’ released theatres problem was not there in Tamil Nadu. But now, the situation is not the same for the new film ‘Businessman’. It is heard that the makers are finding it hard to get theatres in Tamil Nadu due to the Pongal festival and the competition from local biggies like ‘Nanban’ and ‘Vettai’.
Buzz is that the makers are trying hard to push the film into other states as well owing to the first day collection policy. For now, the situation looks tough in Tamil Nadu but then alternative measures are reportedly being worked out. Let us see how this one will result.

If You Bring Jr NTR @ We Bring Ramcharan!!!

The nexus between cinema industry and politics goes a long way back in Andhra Pradesh. But now, the tables are heating up with the likes of Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna and others getting into the political fray. Already, a political war of sorts is developing between TDP and Chiru camp.


While the tussle between the seniors is already on, here is another twist. It is heard that if TDP is planning to get in Junior NTR for their canvassing then Chiru camp is likely to rope in Ramcharan Tej. That seems to be the counteractive plan by the former PRP folks.
However, the political analysts have a different view. They say “Bringing Junior NTR or Ramcharan will work only if they enter into active politics. But if they are being brought for canvassing purpose, public will come but it is only to have a look at the stars, not to get attracted and cast their votes during elections.”

The much talked about movie “Business Man” is previewing today worldwide with lot of hype and excitement.While the music album of this movie topping chartbusters and this movie creating lot of pre-release wonders and breaking records, here is the preview of the movie we are talking about… First time a Telugu Movie is releasing with Sub titles in overseas market. First time Mahesh movie releasing simultaneously in 3 languages (Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam). First time two Mahesh movies releasing within 4 months gap which is exactly 111 days from his earlier release “Dookudu”

1. The film shooting is completed in less than 75 days which is a big record for Mahesh.
2. This movie is releasing in record number of screens in Hyderabad which is 92. The earlier record was 70 by Dookudu and oosaravelli. And out of total 36 daily shows in Prasad’s Multiplex, Business Man is screened in 33.
3. This movie will also hold the record number of theaters in USA (100+ theaters). The earlier record for highest number of theaters in USA is Osaravelli and Panjaa releasing close to 90 (Dookudu was screened in 79 theaters).

With the kind of craze and number of theaters Business Man is releasing in, it is sure to blow first day collections, but will it stand for the week is a million dollar question especially when the remake of Super Hit movie in three languages “Body Guard” is hitting the screens in two days.
7. Body Guard is starring Victory Venkatesh, who is all time favorite of lady audience and the trailers of this movie are very promising. Incidentally the two heroes, Venky and Mahesh whose movies are clashing now for Pongal are doing their next movie together as Brothers. This would be the first multi starrer Tollywood movie in decades.
8. In the past Mahesh and Venky movies clashed twice (Vamsi & Jayam Manadera, Athidi & Tulasi). On both these occasions Veteran Venky emerged as winner with his movies becoming blockbusters. Body Guard which belongs to the same genre as Jayam Manadera and Tulasi is making a silent release.

History in Tollywood proves that any movie released with so much pre-release hype and hungama is going to bite dust after release. May it be Puri’s “Andhrawala” or Mahesh’s “Sainikudu”. But if Business Man can amend the jinx in Tollywood history by getting Above Average talk (3+ rating), this sure is going to rewrite the meaning of “box-office bonanza” especially in USA which is a long week-end.

Amala Paul @ Opposite Ajith in Vishnuvardhan Movie!!

Ajith has completed work on Billa 2. The actor is gearing up to start his next with Vishnuvardhan. Rumours are abuzz that Amala Paul is playing the heroine for the film.
Ajith’s film with Vishnu will start this March Says Vishnuvardhan, ‘ Scripting work is on for the film and I’m yet to give a final shape to a few characters.
It’s a little early to comment on the cast now as I’m yet to initiate talks with the artists.’
Anushka is playing Ajith’s pair in his film for late Nagi Reddy’s production house, which will go on floors after he completes the film with Vishnuvardhan.

Talk-Of-Town @ NTR's 'Babai' Imitation!!

While the whole bandwagon of Nandamuri heroes depends on mass stories and masala dialgoues, this hero is depending on his 'babai's antics to scores a success. The most unsuccessful hero of Nandamuri group, Taraka Ratna aka NTR (changed his name recently) is the talk of town.


Apart from Jr.NTR and Kalyan Ram, the 'babai' of this family, Balakrishna has his own style of things when it comes to acting. Head swinging in songs, touching the midriffs of heroines, specially designed mustaches are Balayya's specials. However, in his upcoming flick NANDEESWARUDU, Taraka Ratna is seen sporting all these stuff to woo fans.
Noticeably in songs, Taraka Ratna is seen doing these wild acts with heroine Sheena. Big question is that how many Nandamuri fans love to see this flop-hero imitating their top-hero's looks and performances. End of the day, what matters is content for this hero as he is still in a stage where he has no image to push a flick despite of its story.

No Festival @ Break for Pawan Kalyan!!

The power star is in no mood for relaxation and rather working day and night to finish off his ongoing venture Gabbar Singh. Pawan Kalyan and team is not taking a break for Sankanthi, though it’s a tradition in Tollywood to celebrate the festivities with family.
Needless to mention, the flick is an official remake of Salman Khan’s blockbuster hitDabangg, which got the Tamil version Osthe starring Simbu and Richa Gangopadhyay.Gabbar Singh features Shruti Haasan as the female lead and Harish Shankar is wielding its megaphone. Bandla Ganesh Babu is producing it, while Devi Sri Prasad is dishing out the tunes. It is planned for release on April 27.

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan left a journo in dismay with his quick-witted and clever reply for a question.Hrithik and Katrina Kaif hot smooch in Zindagi Na milegi Dobara has become quite an interesting subject for media since the movie got released.


On a recent press meet about his new film Agneepath, a journalist chose to ask Hrithik Roshan about kissing scenes with Priyanka Chopra in Angeepath.Hrithik turned down with an immediate reply that there were no such scenes.But only after the enthusiastic journalist insisted on reply for the same question, Hrithik Roshan gave a strong satire saying " If you think any of those scenes are kissing scenes, you don't know how to kiss! Come on stage, and I'll teach you how it's done!".
Earlier, Hrithik used to rage over journalists when asked dumb and meaningless questions, but now things seems to be changed from his side.Hrithik's spontaneous and witty remarks made the people around laugh heartily except the one who raised the question.

I'm not Cut-Out for politics @ Mahesh Babu!!

Putting an end to the speculations in Media about his political entry, superstar Mahesh Babu stated that politics is not his cup of tea.
"I'm not cut out for politics. I don't know the basics of politics and I can say that me entering politics would be as terrible as taking my son. These rumors are completely baseless and speculative," said Mahesh, who refused to react on the political stinct of his coleagues Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and NTR Jr.


The star opined that his lip-lock with co-star Kajal has been blown out of proportion. "There are lot more things in the film, other than the kissing scene," he asserted.
Unlike Mahesh's earlier films, the shooting of Businessman was wrapped up in just 74 days. "The less number of working days has cut down the production cost (Rs 7 lakhs per day). Businessman earned table profits even before the release."
On reacting to the reports of Namrata's pregnancy in Media, Mahesh said,"Its too early to reveal anything. I will talk about it by the end of this month".
The Businessman is gearing up for a massive release this Sankranthi, January 13th. The success of this film is very crucial for Mahesh, who is a step away from the No.1 position. Let's hope he delivers!!!
