Prabhas all set to Rock in Rebel

Actor Prabhas is doing a lots of homework for his yet-to-be-launched film, Rebel.  The film will be his next release and it is probably for the first time that the actor is giving a gap of nearly 8 months between two films (Mr. Perfect was released in June).  The actor is confident that Rebel is a kind of film which will work wonders for him, sources say.  The handsome hunk is pairing up with Anushka Shetty.  Deeksha Seth is another girl who will be seen playing the second heroine.
After Kanchana, Lawrence Raghava is directing Rebel with renewed vigour.  It may be said that after so many offbeat films in all these years, Lawrence will be seen doing a really big-ticket commercial entertainer with a top class actor like Prabhas in the lead.  The film's subject is rumouredly very hatke in nature too.  Krishnam Raju will be seen in a significant character role in the film. Though some versions of the film's story did the rounds recently, it is said that they are concocted and have got nothing to do with Rebel.

Suhasini as Pawan Kalyan’s mother!

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s new project titled "Gabbar Singh" is going to hit the floors soon after completion of Pawan’s current project tentatively titled Kaali. Now the latest news is that Yester year heroine and actress Suhasini Maniratnam has been roped to play the mother role to Pawan Kalyan in “Gabbar Singh”. Presently the movie pre production works are going on. Gabbar Singh is a remake of Bollywood’s super hit film Dabangg. In Hindi version Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha played the lead roles. In Telugu version gorgeous beauty Sruthi Hassan has been roped for the female lead role opposite to Power star.

Gabbar Singh will be directed by Harish Shankar, as per the sources director Harish Shankar has changed the original script to suit the Telugu nativity. The film will be produced by actor turned producer Ganesh Babu on Parameshwara Arts Banner. Devisri Prasad will score the music. Gabbar Singh is expected to hit the screens for Sankarnthi festival in 2012.

Anushka with Arya under Selva Raghavan direction!

Buxom beauty Anushka is going to act in another female centric film under the direction of Selva Raghavan. This film is a bilingual film, will be made in both Tamil and Telugu languages. Arya will play the male lead in the film. Arya is also well known to Tollywood audience with the films Varudu (he played negative role) and recently released Vaadu Veedu (he played one of the hero in the film). Director Selva Raghavan was roped to direct the Kamal Hassan’s new project Viswaroopam, later he stepped out of the project. He also planned a Telugu film with Allu Arjun, but that project also kept aside. But after watching Anushka’s performance in Arundhati he planned to direct a heroine-oriented movie immediately with her, but that was not materialized. Now he has finally come up with a new script, which has more importance for a female lead role than male lead. Recently Anushka has also signed another lady oriented film titled "Rampa Chodavaram" under the direction of Chaitanya Dantuluri.

Bejawada Rowdeelu in High Court!

Naga Chaitanya’s new film titled "Bezawada Rowdeelu" shooting schedule was started recently in Vijayawada. The film has landed into controversies due to its title from the starting day of the movie and the city of Vijayawada people are opposing the movie title and they asked producer Ramgoapl Varma to change the movie title. But RGV is refusing to change the title. ’Bejawada Rowdilu’ is said to be based on the gang wars that happened in Vijayawada almost two decades ago. As per the people in Vijayawada the title of the film will gives the bad remark to the city and it would also raises fresh wars again.

Now the latest news is that Gowtham Reddy, an advocate filed a petition in the High Court seeking the court to intervene in the issue and make the filmmaker to change the title of the movie from Bezawada Rowdeelu .The court has asked the censor board’s legal counsel to go through on this the matter and submit its report to the court within a week. Now we have to wait and to see the court’s decision on this movie title. Bejawada Rowdeelu is being directed by a debutant, Vivek Krishna, who also an associate of RGV. Ram Gopal Varma and Kiran Kumar Koneru are jointly producing the film on Shreya Productions banner. Vanditha Koneru is presenting it.

Bollywood offer for Allu Arjun!

Now the latest buzz in the film nagar is that Stylish star Allu Arjun is soon going to debut in Bollywood with a romantic entertainer film under the leading production house. Presently Allu Arjun is busy in Tollywood with handful of projects, even though he is keen to work in a Bollywood film. The rumors doing the rounds Allu Arjun has got the offer from prestigious Yash Raj Films banner to play a lead role in their upcoming Bollywood film. As per the sources the bosses of Yash Raj Films has also invited Allu Arjun for talks related to that film and the actor is going to meet them soon.

Allu Arjun is popular in South Indian film industry and now getting the offer in Bollywood that too with an YRF project will be a big offer for Arjun and we are not surprised to hear he is keen to do it. But few sources say that he already refused that offer due to his commitments in Tollywood. Any way we have to wait for the official confirmation from the actor regarding this offer.

Allu Arjun- Trivikram’s film starts from Sep 7th

After Badrinath, Stylish star Allu Arjun’s new project under the direction of writer turned director Trivikram Srinivas is finally going on to sets from September 7th onwards. This date has been fixed by the film makers after had discussion with the Allu Arjun, who is back in Hyderabad now from his personal tour.

We heard earlier that Samantha and Ileana names are under consideration for the female lead role opposite to Allu Arjun in the film. Now it seems that Ileana has confirmed as heroine for the film. As per the reports Ileana will also join the shoot on September 7th.The movie will be produced by D.V.V.Danaiah on Universal Media Banner. Music director Devisri Prasad will score the music for this flick. Earlier we also heard that title of the film will be Honey, but now movie makers are saying that title of the film is not yet fixed. More details of the cast and crew of this project will be announced soon!!

Ram Charan's magnum opus Magadheera was released as a sensation all over Andhra Pradesh on 31st July 2009. Although master pieces like 'Sholay', 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge' and 'Prem Nagar' might have run for years long back but present market situations are totally odd to sustain these many days of run for a movie in single theatre. In current generation, fate of a high budget movie depends upon number of opening prints and opening collections while the uncongenial atmosphere makes it problematic for a movie to even have a run of three weeks. In this kind of pathetic circumstances, Magadheera stood as a valiant fighter creating a new bench mark hard to cross for any Indian film that would release here after.

Bindhu Madhavi turns Sex Worker

Dusky beauty Bindhu Madhavi plays a bold character for the first time ever in her film career. She is portraying the role of a commercial sex-worker in the film 'Sega'. It's true that Bindhu Madhavi's role in the film forced the censor board to award an 'A' certificate. It's a common phenomenon in film industry that people choose unconventional ways to regain their prime position. With her career in slump, Bindhu Madhavi has decided to try something different to prove her mettle. She is doing the same, what her predecessors Tabu('Chandini Bar') and Kareena('Chameli') has done in the past. It is said that the scenes of Bindhu Madhavi as sex worker are shoot in aesthetic manner. The movie is a realistic portrayal of darker aspect of the city.

The hottest pair, Nani and Nithya Menon are playing the lead roles in the film. The film is being directed by Anjana Ali Khan, a protegee of Director Gautham Menon. Gautham Menon is producing the film on his banner 'Photon Kathaas'. The film which revolves around five characters was shot in just 46 days. The makers were of the opinion that youth will connect with their film big time. 'Sega' is scheduled to release on July 29.

Nagarjuna Waited 2 Hours For Rajamouli's Call

Given the success streak with which director S S Rajamouli has been shaping his career, he has become the hot property for many actors and producers. Now, it is heard that even Nagarjuna had his eyes on Rajamouli. Sources say Nag’s strong desire is to have one film for his son Naga Chaitanya under the direction of Rajamouli.

Apparently, Nag’s belief is that with Chaitu getting polished under the tough taskmaster, his range will grow into the top league. Recently, it is heard that Nag called up Rajamouli to discuss about a possible project. Sources say Nag waited for two hours to receive Rajamouli’s call. Finally, Rajamouli called and said no. The director reportedly stated that his diary is full till 2014 due to various film assignments and other obligations. However, it is heard that Nag is determined to have Rajamouli for Chaitu within the next year or so. But then, that’s how Rajamouli’s demand is. So let us see what happens.

Dasari Declares War On Young Hero

Lately, it is being noticed that veteran Dasari Narayana Rao is not losing a single opportunity to give a piece of his mind to today’s stars. On the other hand, hero Siddarth has not made amends to his ways of picking up fights with the media or rolling out derogatory statements. Now, the paths of both have crossed. It is heard that Dasari has decided to involve in the controversy wherein Sidz tweeted on electronic media few weeks back. The comment read - "3rd grade 'N'ews channels will sell their families to make up an hour of TV. Clarifying their garbage & lies is not worth our time. Ignore!". This didn’t go sweetly with the Film Newscasters Association of Electronic Media (FNAEM). Apparently, they complained to Movie Artists Association (MAA) but then it is heard that the MAA president Murali Mohan downplayed it saying it was not specific towards Telugu media. Even a letter sent to producers council and to Dil Raju who is doing a film with Sidz yielded no results, as per sources. 

So now, the FNAEM has approached Dasari and it is heard that the Darsakaratna is quite serious. He has reportedly spoken to Murali Mohan and demanded an apology from Siddarth. Sources also say Dasari spoke very strictly with Dil Raju and warned that if Sidz doesn’t apologise, he will make it a national issue. Dasari reportedly indicated that if the statement was not meant for Telugu media then it is insulting the National media. The industry folks say that if Siddarth doesn’t wake up and reacts atleast now, he is sure to face trouble in the future and also his career. There is also a talk that the FNAEM is planning to approach the Human Rights Commission regarding this. Let us see what happens.

Hot Babes ugly catfight

Looks like the catfight between Southern damshell Namitha and sex bomb Sona is getting uglier. The whole issue began when Sona imitated Namitha in the film 'Rangam'. The scene in 'Rangam' shows a Sex Bomb(Namitha) campaigning for a political party. Sona played the role of Sex Bomb in the film. In one of her earlier interviews, Sona has mentioned that knowing Namitha was upset over her role in the film, she tried to contact her through phone and text messages to resolve this problem but there was no proper response from her. However, Namitha reacted sharply to this comments by saying, Sona is trying to gain cheap publicity using her name.

The war of words between the two Sex Bombs seems not to be ending anytime soon. "If Namitha has the opinion that I'm craving for cheap publicity, then she definitely needs to think more positively. I don't have any need to encourage such cheap talk from her," said Sona, reacting to Namitha's remarks. "There are many Sona's out there. The best thing which I can do is ignoring the remarks made by such people. In fact, I'm happy about fact that some people think I am worthy enough to imitate me in their films, just as how they imitate Superstar Rajinikanth," said Namitha. Namitha has warned that Sona would face "severe consequences", if She keeps targeting her. "I think there is a certain limit for everything. If Sona keep on targeting me, then I will not remain as a silent spectator any longer," adds Namitha, who is upset over the entire issue.
