Ajith fans who have been waiting patienly for a long period of time has gone disappointed with the recent happenings.

Billa 2 which is Ajith's mega venture will bring back ultimate star's on-screen presence after 2011 superhit Mankatha

The makers of the film who said that the film might hit the screens by May have delayed due to various reasons to June, even withholding the theatrical trailer till now.

Also fans where left out confused with the release dates as June 8th/15th/22nd and it have affected the expectation on the films meter it seems.

They feel that what Venkat Prabhu attracted with Mankatha promotions, has been let down byChakri Toleti.

Tamil Movies @ Massive Attack On Tollywood

First half of 2012 was distasteful for Tamil flicks that are getting dubbed in Telugu. While producers have brought some costly flicks at cheaper costs, these dubbed entertainers have failed to woo Telugu audiences.
Equations have changed in Tollywood this year for the Tamil movies that are aimed to give a tough fight to our biggies. Unlike last year, Tamil movies may not get enough theatres this year due to the overcrowding of Telugu super stars films. Billa 2 holds the rare distinction being the first Tamil film to be shot in EPIC camera. The state-of-the-camera being used to can the movie digitally.
Billa 2 is directed by Chakri Toleti, the movie stars Parvathy Omanakuttan opposite Ajith.

Yuvan Shankar Raja @ to produce Ajith-Venkat Prabhu's film?

The most wanted music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is going to produce Thala Ajith starrer. This untitled film will be helmed by ace director Venkat Prabhu. director Venkat Prabhu decided to panel for one more film with Thala Ajith in the lead, after his Mankatha was a blockbuster hit worldwide. The most awaited movie Billa 2 that casts Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the leads has given out its satellite rights to Sun TV.
Sun TV has bagged the television rights of Billa 2, the prequel of Vishnuvardhan’s Billa, being directed by Chakri Toleti. Sunir Khetrapal is producing this big budgeting film Billa 2 prestigiously on Wide Angle Creations banner, which is getting ready to see the day light from May second half.
Billa 2 has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Sony Music grabbed the audio rights. This prestigious movie has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and editing by Suresh Urs.

Ajith's @ Billa 2 delayed!!

Amidst all expectations going around regarding the audio and trailer release of Ajith's Billa 2, it seems things have been postponed.
The recent film industry strike issues and the upcoming IPL season has pushed Billa 2 release forward adds a source.
Earlier the audio launch was expected to happen around the third week of March but now its heard that things are all delayed by the Billa team.
As per sources Billa 2 audio release will take place at the end of April and the theatrical trailer on Ajith's Birthday that is on May 1.
So the movie will be mostly a June release says trade circles.

Ajith & Arya @ in a remake venture?

Ajith, Nayantara and Arya starring untitled movie to be directed by Vishnuvardhan, is touted to be a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Race.
It was earlier reported that, Arya and Nayantara to share screen space with Ajith in his post film after Billa 2. Now Kollywood buzzes that this multi-starrer movie is the remake of Bollywood blockbuster film Race, which sees the comeback of Akshay Khanna into films.
Race is the movie on sibling rivalry pictured on Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna in the leads. This yet-to-be-titled movie will see Nayan’s comeback into Kollywood and music will be by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is getting ready with the five tracks album for the Ajith starring Billa 2. Sony Music has grabbed the audio rights for an unrevealed whooping cost after many negotiations. Billa 2 has almost wrapped up its shooting part and post-production work is said to be starting soon.
The prequel of Vishnuvardhan’s Billa is Billa 2 that has Prabhu, Rahman, Sriman and Vidyut Jamwal in the prominent roles and camera is cranked by RD Rajasekhar. Billa 2 has huge expectations surrounding the movie that will hit the screens by the end of April.

Mankatha @ Awarded Best Film at ITFA Awards!!

Recently the Mankatha team flew to Singapore to take part in the ITFA Awards. Mankatha won awards at four different categories.
Mankatha took Awards for Best Film, Best Director(Venkat Prabhu), Best Cinematography(Shakti Saravanan), Best Supporting Actor(Premgi Amaran).
Venkat Prabhu who was thrilled said 'it was a happy moment for our entire team and the whole credits goes to Thala' and signed off.
