Simbu @ Changes Bindu Madhavi name
Same thing is happening with flop Telugu beauty Bindu Madhavi. Apparently, hero Simbu is cutting the tail of this dusky siren. We mean, he advised her to cut down the second word in her name. After doing many sexposing stunts with Tollywood and Kollywood, Bindu Madhavi removed 'Madhavi' from her name and added another 'Sagar' to it. She is now 'Bindu Sagar' and is currently acting aside Simbu in his upcoming movie.
Sources from Tamil industry are saying that there are very less takers for Bindu's seductive sex appeal. This is because she is touted as an iron leg due to the bombing of her initial flicks. She is also moving close with another director from Telugu circuit for offers, a source stated. Watch this space for more updates.
Simbu @ Says Ajith’s Billa 2 is Rocking!!
Simbu happened to meet music director Yuvan Shankar Raja and appears to have heard things about Chakri Toleti’s directorial Billa 2. The Osthi actor, who is busy with most awaited projects tweeted in his micro blogging site, “Had a great time with Yuvan Shankar Raja after a long time!!! Billa 2 is rocking guys ... Thala fans get ready to bounce.”
STR is currently busy with Podaa Podi with director Vignesh Shiva, the debutant venture of Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, following with Vettai Mannan with newbie Nelson and Vetrimaaran directing Vada Chennai.
Simbu says @ Will you be my Girlfriend?
The Manmadhan actor has revived his most waited projects Podaa Podi with Vignesh Shivan that has Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar playing Silambarasan’s love interest, which also marks her film debut, following with Vettai Mannan with his childhood friend and debutant director Nelson and Vetrimaaran’s directorial Vada Chennai.
Besides these Simbu is also touted to be crooning a track for Siddharth, Shruthi Hassan, Hansika and Navdeep starrer film ‘Oh My Friend’ being dubbed in to Tamil as ‘Sridhar’, which is sung by Siddharth and Shruthi Hassan in Telugu. The lastly released teaser goes with 'Will you be my girlfriend?' lines, which is another peppy number that has vocals of STR.
Simbu’s @ Podaa Podi to wrap up soon!!
“Podaa Podi showcases lead pair in 3 different stages and so it takes more time when compared to other big films,” says Vignesh Shivan. Further director added, “The team will fly to Macau for a schedule of about 10 days to shoot the last song.” Podaa Podi also casts veteran actress Shobana, Saranya Mohan and Poonam Kaur in the pivotal roles.
Simbu is back from Las Angels and got back to the sets to revive the shooting of Podaa Podi, which had hit the floors in 2009. Dharan is composing the music for Podaa Podi, of which ‘Love panlama venama...' track became chartbuster with the trailer.
Simbu re-joins @ Vettai Mannan team!!
Nelson is directing multi-starrer Vettai Mannan that casts Simbu, Hansika, Jai, Poonam Kaur and Deeksha Seth in the leads. The movie was put on standstill for about 2 months, as Silambarasan was away to Las Angels and now Vettai Mannan team is back into shooting sets recently. “Back to shoot after like almost 2 months !!! Feels so grt to hear start camera action :),” tweeted Simbu.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing background for Vettai Mannan, which will showcase Hansika as the gangster. While Shakthi is handling cinematography, SS Chakravarthy is producing the movie under Nic Arts banner and Anthony Gonsalves will be taking care of editing.

Simbu @ Attempting to Get Close to Nayan!?
Firstly Simbu and Nayan acted together in ‘Vallabha’ some time ago and they are rated as perfect pair. Now, Simbu is heard to have initiated a Top Director to make Nayan cast as heroine in one of his upcoming romantic flicks. At this juncture when the beautiful actress is strained both professionally and personally, Simbu offering his shoulder for respite is in fact so kind of him. Let us see, how will nayanathara react to this offer and how will Prabhudeva be frustrated with this?
Simbu @ will be back on 19th Feb!
Simbu is almost done with his Love Anthem for World Peace, which has lyrics penned by him using 96 languages crooned by himself alongside an international artist. Love Anthem is being recorded in Elan Morrison’s Studio Zappa that is nearing completion and listeners can expect anytime soon.
Once the STR is back will attend the workshop conducted by director Vetimaaran for his Vada Chennai that has Divya Spandana and Andrea shaking legs for the tunes of G.V.Prakash. The star will be simultaneously working for his Vettai Mannan with bubbly actress Hansika and Deeksha Seth in the leads.
Nayanthara-Simbu @ Together Again??
In fact, STR has reportedly said in an earlier interview that he would have no qualms about acting with Nayan if the situation did arise.
Vetri Maaran, who is busy working on his next film Vada Chennai, has been open about his cast that includes STR and Andrea.
But for some reason, he has kept his heroine under wraps. The latest buzz doing the rounds is that he is trying to rope in the Billa girl for the lead. He is making all efforts to bring the hot pair together again, on screen, the source adds.
A close aide of Vetrimaaran denied any such developments saying that they were just cooked-up stories!
Dhanush VS Simbu @ Twitter Fight!!!
Bollywood actors indulging in twitter battles have been happening at regular intervals. Recently Farah Khan’s husband and filmmaker Sirish Kundar had made sarcastic digs at Shah Rukh Khan through his Twitter account, which led to a showdown between them at a Mumbai hotel.
Early today morning Dhanush`s video `Sachin Anthem` for Sachin Tendulkar made by the energy drink Boost which was premiered on Youtube yesterday (Feb 9) was removed for copyright infringement.
Dhanush had tweeted at that time : “Some people smile at other people’s misery. I smile right back at them for not knowing the purpose of being a human being.
It’s called love. God bless.”A few hours later the video was back on Youtube after Dhanush took legal steps to restore it.
Meanwhile Simbu aka STR who was in US, still busy with his ‘Love Anthem’ , tweeted : “Copy Adikaradhula Chinaava Vida Bayangarama Irrukangaley !!!” Later Dhanush tweeted : “I did the song for free brother. Boost paid for the production of the audio and video, and thanks for all your prayers. God bless.”
Suddenly STR went philosiphical by tweeting – ” Actually none of us in this world have an enemy ! Success introduces you to the world, but defeat introduces the world to you !!!”
Poda Podi release by @ Gemini Film Circuit!!
His upcoming project is titled as 'Poda Podi' directed by newcomer Vignesh Shivan. The film which was in hold for a long period of time will soon see the light of the day adds sources.
Also it will be installment of chubby actress Varalakshmi the daughter of Sarathkumar. The romance between STR and Varalakshmi are said to be more romantic on the lines of his earlier superhit VTV.
Also Music director Dharan has come up with some mesmerizing music and background score adds inside circles.
Also the cinematogaphy done by Hollywood artist Duncan Telford is going to be a mojor highlight of the film capturing beautiful visuals of the London and surrounding regions.
Simbu's @ Vada Chennai with 90's look!!
The director who recently grabbed the National Award for 'Aadukalam' starring Dhanush and Tapasee Panu in the lead roles has started working for his next project 'Vada Chennai'.
Vada Chennai is a gangster film starring Simbu in the lead role. The film will showcase Simbu as a middle class guy with the 90's look. Since the story revolves around the previous generation where gang fights are common.
Sources say that Simbu has bagged a solid role to perform and he will steal the show with Vada Chennai. Vetrimaran is toning the film in every aspects adds sources.
Vada Chennai has music by GV Prakash and the film is produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri under the banner Cloud Nine Movies.
Rana out of @ Simbu's Vada Chennai!!
Rana Daggubati initially listened to the script and agreed to do the role. He agreed to attend the workshop too.However at the last moment, he has reportedly pulled out of the project. Sources say that date clash might be the problem.
Rana’s @Tamil film starts in April!
Daggubati young hero Rana has been roped to play an important role in a Tamil film titled "Vada Chennai", with this film Rana is making his Tamil debut.Now the latest news is that the film goes on to sets from April, 2012.The film will be directed by award winning director Vetrimaran and Simbu is playing the lead role while Andrea Jeremiah is playing the female lead role in this film.GV Prakash wil compose the tunes for this flick.

Osthi Movie Review

Story
It is a typical commercial cop story that we grew-up watching. A corrupt cop Osthi Velan (STR) fears for nothing. He robs from Peter and pays the Paul. More a man with Robinhood heart, Osthi Velan is man of style and substance. He has love-hate relationship with his half brother Balan (Jithan Ramesh). There is love for him in the form of Neduvali (Richa Gangopadhyaya), daughter of a drunkard (VTV Ganesh). They get attracted to each other and fall for each other. There is an enemy to Osthi Velan in the form of Boxer Daniel (Sonu Sood). Both cross swords with each other. Osthi Velan's life has a doting mother (Revathy), a funny cop Selvam (Santhanam) around him. Velan in his typical style fights the evil designs of Boxer Daniel. He rips off his shirt towards the climax to win over him in a battle. Eventually the commercial venture ends with victory for Osthi Velan and he holding the hands of his beau.
Performance
It is Simbu's special all the way. The multi-faceted actor has preferred to play to the gallery. He as Osthi Velan, a funny cop with his own antics is entertaining and energetic. He fights, dances, romances and preaches too in his imitable style. No way one can compare Simbhu's performance with that of Salman for STR has rendered it in his own style. His diction of Thirunelveli dialect is good. Especially when he rips his shirt towards the climax fighting Sonu Sood is a special treat for his fans. The young actor has impressed one and all. Sonu Sood does what he did in the original. At places funny and at places a clichéd villain on Tamil screen, Sonu Sood leaves his impression in a movie which otherwise is occupied by STR's massive screen-presence. He unlike villains in other Tamil films, get a major share on screen and utilize the opportunity well. He gyrates and speaks from the bottom of his belly at places.
Richa Gangopadhyaya, who is in a fine form thanks to stupendous success of her recent release Mayakkam Enna, consolidates her place strongly with Osthi. As Neduvalli, who is in love with Osthi Velan, she is homely yet glamorous. Her expressions and emotions are apt and Dharani extracts the best from his heroine. Santhanam emerges true champ with his one-liners that tickles our funny-bones. He is at his crackling best and scenes involving him and Simbu bring the roof down with laughter. Jithan Ramesh enacts the role played by Arbaz Khan as step-brother of Osthi Velan. He gets a meaty role to play and there is romance for him too. He is energetic too onscreen. Dharani's choice of star cast is apt for the masala venture. The likes of VTV Ganesh, Thambi Ramiah, Nasser, and Revathy add pep to the proceedings with a performance that is straight from their heart. The highlight being Bollywood sexy-siren Mallika Sherawat appearing for an item number equivalent to Munni Badnam.
Technicalities
Director Dharani and cinematographer Gopinath share an excellent rapport and the two proved their mettle in their earlier outings. Osthi is no different and the duo makes it an engrossing affair where the camera compliments the racy story line. The major fillip for the movie is S Thaman's exemplary music. The pacy and racy songs are the major plus for the movie. The songs especially the title song Osthi rendered by Baba Sehgal, STR's rendition of cute pondatti and Kalasala Kalasala makes everyone break loose. Dharani's dialogues are crisp and Nellai Tamil fits the story well. Dharani has ensured that its racy commercial all through with no compromise. There are songs, fights, romance, comedy sequences and no dull moments all through.
Finally:
An honest remake, Osthi is entertaining if you forget all logic and go inside cinema-hall for sheer joy, fun and entertainment. Dharani and STR have pulled it off in style. Three cheers to Osthi team.
