Rajanna Overseas Prints with Subtitles

In a landmark moment for the Telugu Film Industry, the overseas prints of ‘King’ Akkineni Nagarjuna’s upcoming period drama ‘Rajanna’ are being dispatched with English subtitles from day one. Sources in the production team have informed us that the prints have already been readied and are all set for despatch in time for the premiere shows that are going to be held on December 21st.Many analysts from the industry have been advocating the use of English subtitles in our films,atleast for the overseas markets as that would help greatly in the expansion of the market for our films.

Nagarjuna is venturing into overseas distribution on a massive scale with this movie. He is distributing Rajanna in foreign territories through Annapurna Studios International INC. The film is all set for a grand release on December 22nd. Both Nagarjuna and the production team are confident that this movie would be a landmark moment in his career. Veteran script writer Vijayendra Prasad has directed this movie while his son, Ace Director Rajamouli, handled the key action sequences in the movie. Nagarjuna himself produced this movie.

Journey to release in more theatres

Sharwanand, Jai, Ananya and Anjali starrer Journey is going to release in more number of theatres. Producer Suresh Kondeti is extremely happy with the response for the film and he has announced that the film will be released in 35 more theatres from today onwards. “Usually, we add more theatres after the first week if a film gets a hit talk; however, I am extremely happy to announce that we are adding more theatres right after the first day. At the audio launch, I had predicted that the film will be a bigger hit than Premisthe, but looking at the response the film has got so far, I am confident that it will be a much bigger success than my previous films,” Suresh Kondeti said. The film narrates two love stories set against the backdrop of a road journey. Saravanan directed the film and Velraj is the cinematographer.

Nagarjuna’s ‘Rajanna's Premiere show would be held on December 21night in USA while the film releases in AP on December 22. Rajanna is releasing in overseas through Annapurna overseas films. Exuding confidence on Rajanna, Nag said that the movie is one of the best in his career and will take his versatility to another level. The expectations are already huge after Rajamouli the directing the action sequences. Rajanna is directed by Vijeyendra Prasad. MM Keeravani has scroed the music, which is already topping the chartbusters.

May be this assumption is true to some extent because absence of Sharwi from long time in Tollywood with no direct releases seen from his side, audiences are taking it for granted that he has shifted the base to Tamil may be in search of meaningful roles or due to lack of space for him in Telugu. Why is it that, our film makers aren’t using such versatile actors who often come at low salary? Other than feeling pity for Sharwi, none can do more than praying the almighty to give him bright chances after this ‘Journey.’

Good to see heroes like venkatesh and Mahesh Babu agreeing to do a multi-star flick ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ that has been the biggest of buzzes in film circles from a very long time. Samantha Out of Bellamkonda Movie Due to Siddharth!!!

The reports of Samantha's unprofessional behaviour have been making rounds in the media since few days. The news came to light when producer Bellankonda Suresh filed a complaint against the actress in Producers Council and Movie Artists Association (MAA).
In his complaint, Bellankonda said that Samantha's decision to walk out of his project which has Siddharth and director Nandini Reddy, citing dates issue has disrupted the shooting schedule and also resulted in financial loss. He even accused the actress of allotting the same dates to Mahesh Babu's film 'Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu', which were offered to him few months back.

However, Samantha rubbished the reports saying that the only reason behind her decision is the changes made by the director in the script.
"Initially, Samantha liked the script narrated by Director Nandini Reddy and gave her nod to the film. But, after Siddharth's inclusion into the project everything changed. The romantic hero was not happy over the fact that Samantha's character gaining more importance than his. So, he asked the makers to make necessary changes and the lady director succumbed to the pressure," said a source close to the actress.
The producers council has advised both the actress and the producer to come to a mutual compromise. Samantha made her stand clear that she is ready to do the film, if the producer stucks to the original script. Orelse, she is ready to return the advance paid to her. However, the council has asked both the parties to stay away from media till the issue is resolved.

Tamanna @ Troubles 'Ram' for 'RamCharan'!!!

Tamanna is one of the busiest actresses in Tollywood now. She is so busy that she couldn't adjust the dates and do justice for all the films she is starring in. Therefore Tamanna is giving importance to particular films basing on the popularity and craze of the lead man in it.

Tamanna's 'priority' based allocation of dates has been troubling hero Ram as his film Endukante Premanta shooting was delayed due to it. Tamanna has been shooting for Ram Charan's Racha besides EP and naturally she doesn't want to end up in bad books of Charan, who is a bigger star than Ram.
With Tamanna's importance to Racha, Ram's film schedules are being upset and as a result the producer of Endukante Premanta lodged a complaint against Tamanna. Even the producers council didn't do justice to Ram's film as they asked EP producer to wait until Tamanna finishes Racha shoot!

RamCharan Worried About Shekar Kammula!!

Young hero Ram Charan who is hoping to get back into the race for No. 1 position in the Industry with the success of his upcoming film 'Racha', has received an unexpected blow. The man behind this is the sensible and talented director Sekhar Kammula.

Can anyone forget the magic of Sekhar's film 'Happy Days' at the Box Office? Even Ram Charan couldn't erase the haunting experience from his memory, even though if he desperately wanted to! Well, here is the actual story: Ram Charan's debut film 'Chirutha' and Sekhar Kammula's youthful entertainer 'Happy Days' released on the same day. i.e., on September 28th, 2007. We all knew that, 'Happy Days' fared well and collected a whooping Rs 25+ crores in its total run at the Box Office. Note that, Sekhar made the film with just Rs 1.5-2 crores. On the other hand, film lovers had given just pass marks to Chirutha although there is a lot of hulla bulla around the film before the release. However, the film which was made with a budget of Rs 17 crores has managed to collect a decent revenue of Rs 26.5 crores. The two factors that saved the film are - It's the debut fiilm of Chiranjeevi's Son and the curiosity in the people to know whether Ram Charan can match Chiru or not. If, by any chance, Chirutha is not the debut vehicle of Charan, then it would have been a dud.


According to the trade pundits, If Chirutha and Happy Days were released with a gap of atleast 1-2 weeks, the latter would have definitely benefitted. They say that, around Rs 10 crores of Chirutha's collections were eaten up by Sekhar's film. And the history is bound to repeat again.
Recently, Ram Charan announced that his film 'Racha' would be releasing in the first week of February. Just after two days of this, Sekhar Kammula informed to the press that his upcoming film 'Life Is Beautiful' will also hit the screens in February first week. Notably, 'Life Is Beautiful' is a youthful film alike 'Happy Days' and 'Racha' is a mass entertainer alike 'Chirutha'. There is a theory that, when two film were released simultaneously - One film gets more than what it deserve and the other might lose more than what it actually should.
Let's hope that these two films will be released with a gap of atleast 1 week and one film doesn't eat up the revenue of the other!
