Pawan Kalyan’s Panjaa movie is planned to release in almost 62 theatres so far in hyderabad and even more theatres are supposed to be added.But, Dookudu is being dragged towards 100 days in many centers, especially in nizam area and Panjaa producers are finding it hard to get good theatres for their release.Also, distribution is given to inexperienced people, who got theatres but only for a week.So, Panjaa might lose money because it wont have enough theatres from second week.Already Mahesh Babu made his producers sign an agreement with many theatre owners playing Dookudu, to replace it with only his next movie, Businessman, and this would come after 5 weeks. Till then all those theatres will be blocked.In Nizam dookudu is being shown in 6 out of 8 theaters with deficits simply due to the fact that the actor has asked for a 100days run for his film.In Kukatpally, Panjaa due to lack of proper alternatives is releasing in only one theatre unlike other recent big releases, that too in Sivaparvati. Although Siri Media has asked to vacate Mallikharjuna ( Dookudu ) for Panjaa, Multi Dimension has refused to do so citing Mahesh’s instructions to run the film for 100days irrespective of its collections. Running his film for 100 days for the 4th time in his career will get Mahesh an area record in no. of 100days films here. A city court on Wednesday directed the police to take action against the film ‘The Dirty Picture’ and register cases against actress vidya balan and producer Ekta Kapoor. The orders were issued after an advocate Azad filed a petition in Nampally Criminal Court stating that ‘The Dirty Picture’ had many objectionable scenes and therefore, he sought action against vidya balan.Admitting the petition, court directed the Nallakunta Police Station to register a case. In his petition, Azad stated that obscenity in movie would spoil tender minds and their career. Stating the objectionable scenes on posters and wall papers would divert attention of viewers, he sought direction from court to remove them. vidya balan played lead role in movie made on the life of south Indian cine star Silk Smitha. However, Nallakunta inspector M. Suman Kumar told that a case would be registered after receipt of court’s order.
It isn't often that Ram Gopal Verma praises any film openly.Ramu is all praise for fellow filmmaker Ekta Kapoor for making a movie such as The Dirty Picture and making families watch it.On his microblogging site, Ramu posted: “ Kudos to the family queen Ekta for making even families see Dirty picture. Ekta proved once for all what I always suspected in my mind that all families deep inside are down and dirty ( sic)”.Does this mean Ramu can get Ekta to produce his movie or not? Apparently, Rana’s contemporaries are busy getting married and stabilizing their personal and professional lives but our man is still making headlines for his affairs and linkups and hogging the media limelight.The cine folks say “It is good if Rana goes in that line at Bollywood but in Telugu circuit it is not that acceptable. Even Nagarjuna had his own share of things but he has never done that in public. He is well within the family setup. So, it is not sure if this approach is good or bad for Rana in terms of his image. On a national perspective this lifestyle may be okay but for the background he has got this is not required. There is hardly a Bollywood hero who has got such strong background like Rana. But if he continues his activities like this, it is obvious that his folks will not be happy.”

Balakrishna's recent release Sri Rama Rajyam has been getting lukewarm response at the box office. The film is collecting decent numbers in the weekends and holidays, and average figures in all the working days. The trend is the same right from the first week and it looks like it would remain the same.Sri Rama Rajyam was made on a whopping budget of Rs. 30 crore and the producer is likely to lose so much on this movie along with the buyers. Despite getting rave reviews, the film failed to ring the cash registers. Balakrishna is happy to be part of this film, but is disappointed that his producer Saibabu is losing money on itBalakrishna gave an open offer to the producer to do another movie for him. This time Balakrishna is going to do this for a nominal fee. Hope Saibabu recovers the losses that incurred from Sri Rama Rajyam through this film. Kudos Balakrishna for bailing out good producers.
Speaking about the budding star kids of Tollywood, the name of Naga Chaitanya stands tall. He is now five films old and his career graph has been decent with a mix of super hits and utter flops. However, more than him, it is heard that the heroines are having a strong urge to pair with him.Buzz is that the heroines, especially those in the budding stages, have developed a strong sentiment that by pairing with Chaitu, their career gets huge success. We have seen that happening with the case of Karthika followed by Samantha. Grapevine is that Venky's son has been insisting on remaking the Hollywood film 'The Karate Kid' which had Jackie Chan as the mentor and the kid star Jaden Smith as the lead. The film scored good success internationally.However, sources close to Venky reveal that the star as a father is beaming with pride looking at the enthusiasm of his son but has made it clear that there is still a long time for the boy to get into films. For now, the idea looks appealing but materializing it into a product will take a while before Venky approves.
Neelima Thirumalasetty is a rarity in the Telugu Film Industry. Not only is she a dynamic person, she is also one of the very few ladies who produce films in the Telugu industry. We caught up with her for an exclusive chitchat. Here is the transcript for you folks. Read and enjoy.Q) The big day is approaching. You must be pretty nervous.A) (She Smiles) Nope. In fact, I am quite relaxed as the movie has come out well and we are confident about what we made.Q) What made you get into movie production?A) Well, the simple reason is Pawan Kalyan. I am a big fan of his and I have worked with him in the operation of Yuvarajyam (Praja Rajyam Youth division). He always encouraged me and when he wanted to make a fresh new kind of movie, we decided that we would want to produce it. Shobhu and my husband Nagesh are good friends and thats how we got together to produce PanjaaQ) How is the experience of making a movie with a top star like Pawan.A) Well, this entire experience changed my life for the better. It has been enriching and rewarding, but it has also been very tiring. We always had Pawan Kalyan’s support.Vishnuvardhan is an excellent technician who knows what he wants and when you are in the hands of professionals, things become fairly uncomplicated.Q) What is the most appealing aspect of Panjaa?A) Panjaa is a very fresh film. The taking and characterization will be very new and we have attempted to introduce some new styles to the Telugu Film Industry. Every character will be remembered for the way it has been moulded. We want people to remember the characters and not the people who portrayed them. I have seen the first copy of the movie and I am happy that we have achieved what we wanted to achieve.
Q) Brahmanandam’s comedy track is becoming a major point of interest. What would you say about that?A) We had a fabulous time when shooting for the Paparayudu Song. Brahmanandam portrays a very important character in the movie and he makes his entry in the latter half of the movie. Pawan and Brahmanandam share a wonderful chemistry and it will look fabulous on screen.Q) What about Ali? You are not highlighting his character. Is that a conscious decision?A) (Smiles). Well, Ali has a very key role in the movie and it would be better not to reveal it now. You will enjoy it when you watch it. He will be seen quite a lot in the first half of the movie and he will be Pawan’s associate.Q) Can fans expect a blockbuster from Pawan with Panjaa?A) Absolutely! The movie will appeal to Pawan’s fans tremendously and they will come out of the theaters with a smile. There will not be any masala punch dialogues in the movie. Dialogues will be subtle and will have depth like the dialogue in the trailer. Abburi Ravi has done a fabulous job.Q) The heroines are new to the Telugu Industry. Is it a conscious decision to avoid established heroines?A) Yes. When we set out to make a new film. we did not want to cast established actresses as they bring a certain image with them. We wanted fresh faces with no baggage.
Q) Is that the reason why Pawan has a beard throughout the movie?A) Yes. When we heard the script and Vishnuvardhan’s narration, we decided that Pawan Kalyan should sport an all new look. Something that no one ever saw him with before. We screen tested him with the beard and we liked that. You will see that our faith has been justified.Q) Apart from Pawan, Brahmanandam and the heroines, who else should the public watch out for?A) Adivi Sesh has delivered a superb performance as a negative character. Same is the case with Jackie Shroff and Atul Kulkarni. They are the other principal characters in the movie and both of them have delivered a stunning performance.Q) How would you rate Vishnuvardhan as a director? A) He is a top class guy. He has made sure that each and everyone delivered their best. He extracted every ounce of performance from the artistes and its not easy to do that. Even though the movie was shot in Kolkata, Polacchi and other places, the audience will not miss the Telugu nativity.Q) What are your future plans?A) I love this industry and I have grown both personally and professionally after I ventured into this field. A couple of discussions are going on and I will make films in future. The immediate next step would be a second massive release for Panjaa in Tamil. We plan to do that on a large scale worldwide.With that, we ended the interview.
