Generally, it is common to play item songs at the happening parties. Now, the title song of Pavan Kalyan's PANJAA took that status. At the many posh and high profile pubs of Hyderabad, the song was played numerous times to delight the guests.

Pawan Kalyan @ 'Abhayam' to Panjaa producers!!!

Pawan Kalyan's Panjaa joined the list of biggest disasters of 2011, which means the producers who have invested so much money in it have been ended up in heavy losses. Panjaa isn't a sell out picture as the producers held few areas and released it on their own. Hence, they lost more money on it.

Pawan did this film for Neelima Tirumalasetty as a token of gratitude for the work she has done to Yuva Rajyam. She was accompanied by Shobu Yarlagadda to produce this film. Now both of them suffered losses and Pawan Kalyan is aware of it.
To rescue them out of this slump, he promised to do another film for them. This time it would be an entertainer in noted Telugu director's direction. If Pawan could pull off a hit in the meantime, then Panjaa producers will have more than a reason to smile.

The year 2011 has turned out to be a bad year for power star pawan kalyan. The year has been bad for him not just on the professional front but also on the domestic front. There were reports that he had some differences with his wife and that she had left him and was staying with her parents in Pune. It has been sorted out now and Renu is back with Pawan. pawan kalyan also seems to have developed differences with his brother Chiranjeevi.

While on the professional front none of Pawans films clicked at the box office. While Puli and Panjaa flopped miserably Teen Maar was just an average hit. pawan kalyan is now busy with Gabbar Singh. Let us hope the year 2012 will prove to be a good year for pawan kalyan.

The audio launch of Pawan Kalyan Panjaa which took place at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Nov 19th is a one of it's kind event. Although the makers has done elaborate arrangements to accomodate as many fans as they can into the stadium, that helped only for some extent. A packed house filled with fans of Pawan Kalyan in the stadium was witnessed, much before the event got started. On the other hand, the same number of people or even more were waiting ouside the venue which had resulted a huge traffic jam. Even, Allu Arjun couldn't get into the stadium. That particular day was a nightmare for the bouncers, who were unable to control the extremely excited crowd at the venue. Remember, Pawan Kalyan is the only star present at the audio launch of Panjaa. In fact, he is the only star in the film. None of them could forget the roar of fans when Pawan entered the venue - A Truly Magical Experience. All these eventually show how big a star Pawan Kalyan is!!!

On the other hand, the audio launch of Mahesh Babu's Businessman is being held Today at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad. Businessman is one of craziest projects of the year with superstar Mahesh Babu and top league heroine Kajal Agarwal in the lead. Star director Puri Jagannath is the director of the and Music Sensation Thaman composing the songs and background score. Even though Businessman has everything to call it a star studded project, it couldn't match Panjaa. According to the reports, there's not as much of a frenzied crowd outside the venue.
Gone are the days, estimating the popularity of a hero by looking at the excited crowd inside the venue. The numbers outside the venue is the latest trend. And Pawan Kalyan is far away from anyone's reach. With just one hit in the past decade, Pawan Kalyan is making his contemporary heroes stand on their toes. Is Pawan Kalyan losing POWER?

Is Power star Pawan Kalyan losing 'power'? Symptoms indicate the same. His last two films were Panjaa and Teenmaar. Both these films got decent reviews and were definitely better than duds like Puli and Bangaram. However, these films failed to do business as good as those movies!

Panjaa ended up as a major disaster in Pawan Kalyan's career, despite all his efforts and all the accolades he received from his fans. Pawan Kalyan has put his heart and soul in Teenmaar and Panjaa movies and did his best he could. With both the films turning out to be disasters Pawan Kalyan is left in dilemma of what to do and what not to.
Most of Pawan fans are already losing hope and they wouldn't be surprised if Gabbar Singh too suffers the same fate. Pawan Kalyan was adored by youth, mass and family audiences in the past. Now families have completely ignored him and masses are getting disconnected with the themes he has been choosing. It is high time for PK to bounce back with Gabbar Singh or else his future films might fail to get the openings too!

Chiranjeevi 'Chinna Choopu' on Pawan exposed!!

Megastar Chiranjeevi and other mega family members strongly deny any rift in the family. They say that they all are united and cite few examples to prove that all is well within the family. However, Chiranjeevi remains 'unavailable' for Pawan movie functions all the time.

Dookudu vs Oosaravelli vs Panjaa @ First Week Shares Exclusive

Tollywood witnessed the hulchul of three movies in the second half of this year, ‘Dookudu’, Oosaravelli and Panjaa, starring three different heroes who are opponents among themselves. Let us have a look into their performance at the box office in the first weeks of their releases.

Dookudu: This movie released with not much expectations as three of Mahesh’s movies in a row were bombed at the box office after his Industry Hit ‘Pokiri’. However, the movie got super hit talk on its first day itself. Mahesh’s craze, heroine’s glamour, hilarious comedy and the music are the highlights of the movie. Dookudu has created an all time first week share record of Rs.28.15 crores, which is currently an unbeatable first week record.


Oosaravelli: This movie released with a great hype as even other heroes’ fans treated this movie as the contender for ‘Dookudu’. This movie was released with an all time record number of centers, and in AP this is still an unbeatable record. With the help of Jr.NTR’s craze, heroine Tamanna’s glamour and good music by Devi Sri Prasad the movie got all time third best first week share of Tollywood, Rs. 23.36 crores. The Dasara festival season also helped the movie in collecting more shares in the first week. However, the collections were dropped from its second week on wards.


Panjaa: This movie was released with a great hype only because Pawan Kalyan’s factor with a touch of audio’s success. However, the movie received very poor talk on day one. The movie got bad remarks in many departments like selection of heroines, misuse of music, non-native director etc. Also, the movie was sold to the distributors who did not have command on the market, as it was seen in Nizam area and in a few other areas where the movie was not released in good theaters. Also, the movie was released in un-season. Despite all these negative points, the movie collected Rs.22.03 crores share which is slightly lower than Oosaravelli’s first week share. Currently, Pawan Kalyan’s fans are hoping that as the movie is doing well in Overseas too, with the help of better publicity, the movie could cross the shares of ‘Oosaravelli’ and other movies released in this year in its full run except ‘Dookudu’. Let us see, how well it survives in coming days

Panjaa ends up as a disaster!!!

Pawan Kalyan’s flop spree continues with Panjaa ending up as a colossal flop at the box office. Despite taking a thunderous start in the first weekend, Panjaa slipped down drastically from the fourth day itself and is only slipping down further by the day.

Panjaa raked in 15 crores share in the first week. 13 crores out of it was collected in the first three days itself. Looking at the current trend, Panjaa may not even cross 20 crore mark, leaving it on par with Pawan Kalyan’s previous flops Puli and Teenmaar.
Panjaa producers are coming up with statements that buyers would be in safe zone by the end of second week, but chances are almost impossible to reach there. So now focus shifts to Gabbar Singh, which is believed to be the last hope for Pawan Kalyan!

Panjaa Director @ Vishnuvardhan Interview!!

Hyderabad: Tamil film director Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran, who has made half a dozen films in the southern movie industry, including an impressive debut in Telugu films with the Pawan Kalyan-starrer "Panjaa", is looking forward to directing in Hindi and other languages. The director, who has carved a niche for himself in the Tamil industry with his stylish direction, is also keen to work on Malayalam and Kannada movies if he comes across good projects.

"It is always nice to get into different audiences," Vishnuvardhan told IANS in an interview For the director of Tamil hits like "Arinthum Ariyamalum", "Pattiyal" and "Billa", languages are not a hurdle. "Generally movies will have no language. A movie speaks for itself. A director's task remains the same everywhere and it is only the language which changes," he said.

Vishnuvardhan, who worked for six to seven years in Mumbai, also has plans to enter Bollywood. "I will be doing it down the line," he said. He is satisfied with the response "Panjaa" has received since its release last week. The action thriller also has several non-Telugu stars like Jackie Shroff, Sarah Jane Dias, a former Miss India, and Anjali Lavania, a model who appeared on the Kingfisher calendar. Produced by Shobu Yarlagadda of Arka Media and Nilima Tirumalsetti of Sanghamitra Arts, "Panjaa" is a love story set against a mafia backdrop. Shot extensively in Kolkata, the technically sound movie impressed the audience especially with stylish direction and photography.

"I always wanted to make a Telugu film. I was excited making it and today I am proud of this film," said Vishnuvardhan. "I can understand Telugu as it is my mother tongue," said the director, whose family shifted to Chennai two generations ago. "There are little cultural differences between Tamil and Telugu. A movie maker has to understand the sensibilities of audiences," he said when asked how different it was for him to direct a Telugu movie. Sharing his experiences of working with Pawan Kalyan, who is a powerful name in southern filmdom, the director said he enjoyed it.

"When we generally work we don't look at that (the star's image). I know his magnitude and the massive fan-following he enjoys but when I met him I found him a humble and simple person," he said. His next movie would be in Tamil with Ajith Kumar, whom he had directed in the 2007 blockbuster "Billa". The yet-to-be titled movie will go on the sets in February next year.

Positive buzz around Pawan's Gabbar Singh!!

There's a lot of buzz going around Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film 'Gabbar Singh', which is a Telugu remake of Bollywood superhit Dabangg. Director Harish Shankar, who is also a fan of Powerstar, is all praise for Pawan Kalyan's high energy levels.

Pawan kalyan garu had everyone cheering on sets! fun!!," said Shruti Hassan."Done with first schedule of Gabbar Singh! Having the best time ever and learning so much! Pawan on the Verge of Total Collapse!

Power Star Fans are finding it hard to digest this fact. Though panjaa is declared of slowly getting into a commercial safe zone but Pawan Kalyans current form of delivering only duds and below average flicks is a cause of worry. It has been years that their hero has shown real stamina at Box Office. When we say Pawan, that it self is a Mantra in Tollywood. This might be a rare record in world cinema that a Star Hero who hasnt seen a solid hit from last one decade is still a strong contender to Number One Crown position.

Apparently, this is disappointing. panjaa might have got face saving openings in domestic market while here in USA film has failed to live up to expectations. This has got one of the weakest revenues for a Pawan Kalyan film. If he delivers one more below average or a disaster flick, he is on the verge of total collapse in overseas market. There is a big danger knocking the door of Pawan Kalyan. He should at least become cautious for now, said one of the exhibitors from the US of America showing concern on Pawan losing his name and fame.

Why is it producers of ‘Panjaa’ are hesitant to declare the record collections made by their flick in the first week? When many of the producers show hurriedness to hog limelight for their respective films by manipulating the real collections figures, luckily people behind ‘Panjaa’ are keeping their tongues very much in control without raking any records controversy.

‘Going by the attitude of Pawan, he could have definitely stopped producers from revealing the actual numbers because he believes in film running on its own strength rather than assorting to ham buck promotional stunts which are to not only to damage the reputation of hero but also show the effect on director and producers in the long run. This is one of the best gestures many should follow in industry because competition between heroes and films should always be in healthy environment,’ a popular opinion shared by trade analysts.

Rajamouli Reacts on 'Panjaa' Promotion Video!!

It is the matter of basic knowledge and common sense for media friends that everyone is an actor in film industry. May it be Director or a Producer…everyone needs to act before camera in any of their relevant forms just for the sake of securing good promotion and thus a success for their product. Same seems to be the case with Panjaa where a promotional video of director Krish with obscure expressions in communication has been leaked on net with rating the same as Cheap Stunt by producers.

Reacting on this rajamouli gave a fitting reply tweeting, Cheapness of producers!!! How can u say that..? If anything it is the cheapness of the guys who leaked the material. Agreed sir, nothing is fair here in the game. But, definitely the leaked video has disturbed the Power Star Fans.
