Apparently, our director is a hard core fan of legendary actor Kamal Hasan and sparkling diva Sridevi. It is for this reason he has named the lead pair of his latest film with the same names. He is director Shankar Dayal and this is happening with his latest movie 'Sakuni'. Apparently, hero Karthi is playing Kamal and Praneetha is named as Sridevi. 
Though the character names are intriguing, the film has nothing to do with those two film stars. 'Sakuni' is touted to be a political satire on current situations, and its dubbed version is aiming to rock Tollywood as no other Tamil film has succeeded here so far this year. Audio of this film has created enough buzz in Tamil circles. We have to see how this Kamal-Sridevi pair with enthral Telugu audiences.

Karthi's Saguni @ to be released Soon!!

Karthi starrer Saguni is almost complete. Plans are on to release the film simultaneously in Telugu as well.
Director Shakar Dayal says, 'certain scenes in the film have been worked out for the Telugu audience as Karthi has a huge fan following there.
We are planning to release the film on the same date in both languages. I am stunned after watching Karthi's action in the film.

Pranitha, the Sandalwood girl who shot to fame with her very debut film Udhayan in Tamil, has denied rumours that she did not co-operate with the shoot for Saguni in which she is vast opposite Karthi.


The political satire Saguni is directed by Shankar Dayal. Buzz is that Pranitha’s portions were completed and she was sent back. Reportedly, when the director was seeing the rushes, the team felt that some of her portions needed to be re shoot and hence asked her for a few extra dates.
She has allegedly said that she was too busy to be disturbed and could not allot any more dates.When contacted Pranitha denied it as rumors. She said 'Saguni is one of the best films in my career. In fact I gave bulk dates and was extremely comfortable while working for all the schedules. I enjoyed every bit of my shooting.'

Karthi’s Shakuni to release in January

Karthi’s upcoming Tamil film Saguni is going to release in January. The film will be simultaneously released in Telugu as Shakuni. Pranitha Subhash is playing the lead role in the film. Shankar Dayal is directing the film and Gnanavel Raja is producing it on Studio Green banner. The film was earlier supposed to release in December; however, another untitled film starring Karthi, Anushka is going on floors this month.

Shakuni is in its final stages of filming and after wrapping up the film’s remaining schedule in December, the producer is planning to release the film either in the 2nd or the 3rd week of January. Shakuni is touted to be a political satire and Karthi will be seen in numerous getups throughout the film.
