Almost all our young heroes are desperately trying to make a mark in TamilNadu market these days. Recently NTR Jr released Shakti film in Tamil simultaneously with the Telugu version. Allu Arjun thought of dubbing Badrinath in Tamil but later dropped the idea as the film flopped in Telugu. Charan, Prabhas, Ram and few others too are planning to release their upcoming films in Tamil. But there is one hero who is just not caring about expanding his market. He is our charming Prince Mahesh Babu. He is a known face in TamilNadu but he never really tried to test his luck in Tamil. Few of his Telugu films which weren't remade in Tamil were dubbed and released without much hype and hoopla.

As per the trend, one thought that Dookudu will be dubbed in Tamil to mark the grand entry of Mahesh in Kollywood. But Mahesh is too intelligent to make silly mistakes. He has seen what happened to NTR when he entered Tamil market without proper planning. So taking a cue out of it, Mahesh is planning to break into Tamil with a right project. Tamil star directors Shankar, Maniratnam, Linguswamy, KV Anand and Gautam Menon are waiting to launch our superstar in Kollywood.

Okka Magadu haunts Pawan Kalyan fans!

One of the most overrated directors of Tollywood is Harish Shankar. He has only one hit up his sleeve to boast of and that too was a hit because of Raviteja. Harish hardly gets any credit for Mirapakay movie, but he behaves like he has made a gem of a film. Now he is directing Pawan Kalyan's movie Gabbar Singh and he states that he is a diehard fan of Pawan. He says that he would present Power star in a way that every fan would dream of. "Oka fan direct chesthe ela untundo Gabbar Singh ala untundi," is the promise made by him to Power Starr Pawan Kalyan fans.

This promise itself is terrorizing Pawan Kalyan fans as it is straight out of Mr. YVS Chowdary's book, who said that he would direct Okka Magadu like a true fan of Balakrishna. What he finally delivered is still haunting Bala fans in their dreams. Now, Harish Shankar is talking similar to YVS and Pawan fans could only remember pro'miss' made by Chowdary to Nandamuri fans.

Venkatesh's 'Bodyguard' In Question Mark

The film ‘Bodyguard’ originated in the Malayalam cine circuit and since then it has been making rounds across different cine circuit scoring blockbuster hits. And now, it has reached the Tollywood circuit. But many say that this ‘Bodyguard’ may not actually work well at the box office. The film starring Venkatesh and Trisha in the lead is being directed by Gopichand Malineni. The market pundits say “Already, a major part of the Telugu audience has seen the Hindi version starring Salman. As such, there is still that population which has not been tapped but its presence is already felt.”

A film buff said, “A few scenes and flow in Bodyguard resembles to that of Dasarath’s Santhosham. Then, how differently it brings freshness to audience at least with emotion part”? They add “With ‘Bodyguard’ seen by different audiences in different languages, what difference will Venky bring with his film? Moreover, there is not much gap between the release of Hindi version and Telugu version. So, how it will appeal to Telugu audience? The only option for Gopichand Malineni would be to tweak the script a bit to bring the difference.”

Tilak is not the title for Pawan Kalyan

While the informal communication is abuzz that Pawan Kalyan and Vishnuvardhan's movie is titled 'Tilak', the makers of the film intervened saying that 'Tilak' is something they never contemplated. Says one of the producers Shobu Yarlagadda, “We have never considered Tilak as a title”. Sources from the production unit say that the title and the first look of Pawan Kalyan would come out by October. Wonder what would be the title? May be! May be not...! The movie is currently filming in Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad and scenes on Pawan Kalyan and Adivi Sesh are being canned. Anjali Lavania and Sarah Jane Dias are playing heroines.

Tensions around Star Heros Movie Releases

The Tollywood circuit is bracing up for yet another strike. Just recently, all the cine folks had a taste of it which resulted in losses of few crores. This time, the strike is being planned big and if the strikes begin then the impact will also be big. For starters, shootings will stop and the worst hit would be the big films which are currently gearing up for release during the festival season.

Dookudu :
This is the first among the biggies which will open the festival account. Already suffering from a delayed schedule, the film has finally reached the final stages and currently the shooting of item song is happening at Ramoji Film City. Considering the strike takes off, the shooting part will get affected and the film is closest on its release with September 23 being the official date. With several other big films lined up right after this date, it is a now or never situation if Dookudu has to score a hit.

Rajanna :
Starring Nagarjuna and Sneha, the film is being made with a Telangana backdrop and it is directed by Vijayendra Prasad while S S Rajamouli is directing the action episodes. Currently, the film has reached the climax stages and till recently, Rajamouli was at work. So, if the shootings are halted then it would be a spanner. This would also affect the release date since it was expected on September 30.

Sri Rama Rajyam :
One of the most anticipated and highly expected movie, this was meant to be a treat for the family and devotional audience. Though the shooting part is over and the audio release has also happened, the film has been left with post production work and graphics, as per sources. Though the release date has been kept for October end, if the strike continues then it is bound to impact the other films and this would lead to a clash in the release dates.

Oosaravelli :
This is the film which is being done in full throttle on the insistence of Junior NTR. Sources say he is particular to see the release happening on October 6 Due to this, the work has been progressing exhaustively but if the strike takes serious shape then it is sure to cause a big blow to the proceedings. With barely any dates left for releasing the film, it will affect the box office if Oosaravelli releases at a later date after October 6.

While the position of the above films is very undecided, the cine folks say that though the strike gets called off this trend will create tension. Already, Tollywood is getting banged due to incessant flops and now this strike will mean the final nail on the coffin. Let us hope the issues get resolved and all get back to work.

NTR is adamant and that is known for many film buffs. During the time of ‘Khaleja’ release, NTR emphasized on releasing his ‘Brindavanam’ as a competition to that. Now, he is repeating his adamant act. He is compelling that ‘Oosaravelli’ should release at any cost on October 6th.

Due to this, it is heard that Mahesh is going red with anger on hearing the name of NTR. ‘Dookudu’ unit members reveal that Mahesh feels NTR is wantedly getting his films released at the same time. With ‘Oosaravelli’ being forced to release on October 6th, ‘Dookudu’ is having no choice but to release on September 23rd.

Due to this, Mahesh Babu is slogging day and night and this is not his habit. After the super success of ‘Pokiri’ everyone started calling Mahesh a superstar and from then on, he has been doing shootings at his own convenience. But due to NTR, Mahesh is now made to work day and night that’s why he is very serious, as per sources.

In the Past, we have seen actresses getting married suddenly and flaunting a baby bump in a month or two. The trend has been a part of Film Industry since quite a long time and while some actresses admit the fact, some fight it till the very end.
