RamCharan 'Yevadu' Mania grips Overseas!!

Just recently, the new venture of mega powerstar Ramcharan Tej was announced and perhaps for the first time, the title was also announced simultaneously. We are talking about the film 'Yevadu' and this brings the combo of director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju.

The film is yet to hit the floors but even before that, the mania seems to have picked up among few fans overseas. Recently, a large group of cine buffs got together a noted Desi joint called Persis Indian Grill at Ashburn, Virginia to share their happiness on the announcement of the project.
This is perhaps the first time that such a thing has happened and sources say the gathering also had a group of foreigners who have a penchant for Telugu cinema, thanks to the Desi influence. Those who took part in this fun feast are hoping that 'Yevadu' will give the big hit that Ramcharan deserves.

Mahesh Babu Heavy Punch Dialogs in Businessman!

Prince Mahesh Babu is a perfect combination of strikingly handsome looks and strong performance skills. So, the icing on the cake for him is when he gets to roll out few punch packed dialogues in his films. And the best person who can pen such lines for him is Puri Jagannadh.

We have seen that happening in the film 'Pokiri' and now it is heard that the magic is going to repeat itself again. This is happening through the film 'Businessman'. Buzz is that Puri has written some high octane dialogues. Mahesh is currently busy with his dubbing for the film.
Inside sources reveal Mahesh's dubbing for first half is complete and already, there are nearly four to five dialogues that will hit the head hard. With the film scheduled for a release on January 11th, the expectations are high. Before that, the audio release would be happening on December 22nd.

This comes in form of good news to Bebo’s fans. Latest Buzz going around is that Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor who has always maintained a distance with social networking sites Facebook and Twitter will now become active on these sites.

Kareena will be doing for a special reason. The ‘Bodyguard’ actor wants her fans to know each bit about her forthcoming movie, ’Herione’. The 30-year-old actor would be tweeting about her experiences in the making of her much anticipated movie, ’Herione’. Kareena feels that she has bagged a role of lifetime through Madhur Bhandarkar. Initially Kareena was offered the role but she declined it having date problems and the role went to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s kitty.

Vijay's Nanban Audio release at Coimbatore!!

The audio of Nanban will be launched formally on 23 december in Coimbatore, sources say.
Nanban is the Tamil remake of Raju Hirani-Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots and its stars Vijay, Srikanth and Jeeva in lead roles.
'Here I am... The audio of Nanban will be launched during my concert On The Edge on 23rd December at Hindustan college Coimbatore.
Couple of songs from the film will also be performed in the show, tweeted Harris Jeyaraj.
Gemini Film Circuit (GFC), the film’s producers and distributors are releasing the Nanban audio through their Gemini Audio.

Amala Paul is @ Mahesh Babu ‘Vadina’ in SVSC!

With Anushka citing date issues, Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu unit has been hunting out for apt replacement and the buzz says that they have found an answer in Amala Paul. If the buzz is to be believed, Amala Paul would be playing Venkatesh’s wife role in SVSC.

Venkatesh’s wife means this role would be Mahesh Babu’s ‘vadina’ (sister in law) in it. This is the reason why most of the heroines have rejected to play this role. Amala Paul, who has recently made Tollywood debut with Bejawada is happy to be a part of this film it seems.
Official announcement regarding Amala’s role is awaited. Amala Paul is currently doing Love Failure movie opposite Siddarth.

Dookudu – only Telugu movie in Google’s list!!

Prince Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu has earned one more rare distinction after smashing Box Office records. The movie is the only Telugu Film to feature in Google’s list of ’10 Most searched films in India’ . It is ranked at No.9. The only other South Indian movie to feature in the list is Ajith’s Mankatha (Gambler in Telugu). It has come in at no. 7.
The list is topped by Salman Khan’s Bodyguard, which beat Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One as the most searched for Indian movie. Delhi Belly, Singham and Harry Potter rounded off the top 5.
Dookudu has been enormously successful and it has given Prince Mahesh Babu the biggest hit of his career. The movie also set a new record for US Box Office collections for a Telugu movie.

A Bharat Ratna for Chikni Chameli?

If Time magazine can make the ‘protester’ its person of the year, can the ‘ common man’ get the Bharat Ratna? The sentiment in Twitterverse seems to be in favour of the proposition. “ Every common man deserves a Bharat Ratna,” said a tweeter, “ for what we brave every single day from corruption, traffic, inflation to pollution.” Of course, the clamour was growing for a Bharat Ratna for Sachin Tendulkar, now that the government has modified the criteria for the highest civilian award to allow sportspersons. The handle # BharatRatna was trending on Twitter this weekend and most TV news channels had come up with their lists of who deserved the award. Twitter had two clear favourites — Tendulkar and the hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand.

Dhyan Chand seemed to be the unanimous choice and there were some uncharitable remarks directed at him.
Sample this: “I think Bharat Ratna must be given in each category like the Nobel Prize. Sachin has done nothing for society to get Bharat Ratna.” You may disagree but the tweeter has a point.
Of course, smart alecks had a field day taking potshots at politicians. “Bharat Ratna is now open for sports ... Hope people won’t recommend Sharad Pawar’s name for winning the World Cup instead of Tendulkar,” said one. As the film is not attracting bear minimum crowds, many theatres have removed the film for morning and matnee shows and replaced with Rathinirvedam, the film that's famous with the posters of sexy aunt Shwetha Menon. Although the film has no spicy element the theatre owners are in a notion that Shweta Menon is a better crowd puller than Uday Kiran. Sad but true.

Venkatesh's Bodyguard Secret Leaked!!

Bodyguard movie starring Venkatesh has been creating buzz ever since the trailers and audio were out. Suddenly this movie is raising hopes as it looks promising enough to be a Pongal entertainer. Venkatesh says that it is perfect packaged Pongal treat for the family crowds.

Even the industry inside reports says that this film has shaped up really well to rule the box office during Pongal. Bodyguard was supposed to hit the marquee by last Dussera, but it was intentionally pushed to Pongal as the makers and the actor were not so confident about the product by that time.
At the start, Bodyguard was made as a family drama with less comedy and action. But taking a cue out of the Hindi remake, they have pumped in lot of energy into the narrative and increased the action part and comedy. This is the reason why Bodyguard was delayed and now everyone who belongs to this team confidently says that it is going to hit bull's eye. As far as entertainment is concerned, Telugu version would be the best among all the versions of Bodyguard, they say!

Telugu Bombshell in 4D Horror Feast!!

Though she is the right package of naturally seductive looks and a decent acting talent, the Telugu beauty Bindu Madhavi has not been getting her due credit. However, it appears that she may have just got the right kind of project to turn things around.

Reports say that Bindu Madhavi has been roped in for a unique project. This is slated to be a complete horror flick and here is the best part. This is being made in 4D version along with 2D and 3D versions. Sources say Bindu is going through special workshops before the shooting begins.
This is being directed by Marthand Shankar while Anand Ranga is the producer. Bindu from her end is keen on doing more of Telugu cinema but she has not been getting the required opportunities. Let us hope this horror flick shakes up the Tollywood filmmakers and shows Bindu in a good light.

Dookudu vs Oosaravelli vs Panjaa @ First Week Shares Exclusive

Tollywood witnessed the hulchul of three movies in the second half of this year, ‘Dookudu’, Oosaravelli and Panjaa, starring three different heroes who are opponents among themselves. Let us have a look into their performance at the box office in the first weeks of their releases.

Dookudu: This movie released with not much expectations as three of Mahesh’s movies in a row were bombed at the box office after his Industry Hit ‘Pokiri’. However, the movie got super hit talk on its first day itself. Mahesh’s craze, heroine’s glamour, hilarious comedy and the music are the highlights of the movie. Dookudu has created an all time first week share record of Rs.28.15 crores, which is currently an unbeatable first week record.


Oosaravelli: This movie released with a great hype as even other heroes’ fans treated this movie as the contender for ‘Dookudu’. This movie was released with an all time record number of centers, and in AP this is still an unbeatable record. With the help of Jr.NTR’s craze, heroine Tamanna’s glamour and good music by Devi Sri Prasad the movie got all time third best first week share of Tollywood, Rs. 23.36 crores. The Dasara festival season also helped the movie in collecting more shares in the first week. However, the collections were dropped from its second week on wards.


Panjaa: This movie was released with a great hype only because Pawan Kalyan’s factor with a touch of audio’s success. However, the movie received very poor talk on day one. The movie got bad remarks in many departments like selection of heroines, misuse of music, non-native director etc. Also, the movie was sold to the distributors who did not have command on the market, as it was seen in Nizam area and in a few other areas where the movie was not released in good theaters. Also, the movie was released in un-season. Despite all these negative points, the movie collected Rs.22.03 crores share which is slightly lower than Oosaravelli’s first week share. Currently, Pawan Kalyan’s fans are hoping that as the movie is doing well in Overseas too, with the help of better publicity, the movie could cross the shares of ‘Oosaravelli’ and other movies released in this year in its full run except ‘Dookudu’. Let us see, how well it survives in coming days

So many channels were in competition, but these channels bought the rights for a whopping price. Businessman will enter the last and most aggressive phase of promotions from Dec 22nd. A new trailer of 1 minute length would be released on the same day.
Businessman new trailers would be screened along with Rajanna movie, which is releasing on Dec 22. Whole unit is taking utmost care to create right expectations on the movie and this is said to be the best promotional campaign for Mahesh Babu. His previous film Dookudu was promoted superbly well.

Panjaa ends up as a disaster!!!

Pawan Kalyan’s flop spree continues with Panjaa ending up as a colossal flop at the box office. Despite taking a thunderous start in the first weekend, Panjaa slipped down drastically from the fourth day itself and is only slipping down further by the day.

Panjaa raked in 15 crores share in the first week. 13 crores out of it was collected in the first three days itself. Looking at the current trend, Panjaa may not even cross 20 crore mark, leaving it on par with Pawan Kalyan’s previous flops Puli and Teenmaar.
Panjaa producers are coming up with statements that buyers would be in safe zone by the end of second week, but chances are almost impossible to reach there. So now focus shifts to Gabbar Singh, which is believed to be the last hope for Pawan Kalyan!

Prabhas busy with Vaaradhi!!

Young Rebel Star Prabhas who stunned audience with his lean look in the audio release of Venkatesh’s Bodyguard is working till mid-night for his new film Vaaradhi to be directed by writer turned director Koratala Shiva. Yesterday, the unit shot most crucial scenes of the film at Manikonda till 11:00 pm on Prabhas and heroine Richa Gangopadhyaya. Anushka is also roped in as one of the leading ladies of the film. The film is being made with all commercial elements and the makers are planning it to release it for summer.

The film is being produced on UV Creations banner by Pramod Uppalapati and Vamsi Krishna Reddy. Recently, Prabhas completed working for the Hyderabad schedule of his next release Rebel under the direction of Raghava Lawrence. The makers are trying hard to release this film for summer.

Sneha to replace Anushka as Mahesh Vadhina!!!

Heroine Anushka who eventually became one of the busiest actresses of Kollywood is likely to walk out of Dil Raju’s multi-starrer Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) as she is unable to accommodate bulk dates for this film. The latest news that is doing the rounds is that heroine Sneha is going to step-in to the shoes of Anushka as Venkatesh’s wife for this film.

The film also features Mahesh Babu and Samantha in lead roles. The story revolves around Mahesh Babu and his sister-in-law in the film. The movie is facing lot of troubles to finalise a heroine opposite Venkatesh as many heroines are hesitating to play sister-in-law to Mahesh. Earlier, the makers have approached Bhumika, Trisha and Nayanthara for the role but they politely rejected the offer made by Dil Raju.
The film is being directed by Srikanth Addala on Sri Venakteswara Creations banner.
