Prabhas @ tit-for-tat to Nithya Menon

Many of the Tollywood folks mayn't have forgot an incident which took place few months ago. It's about a heroine and her arrogant comments regarding Prabhas, who is one of the most handsome and popular heroes of Telugu Film Industry. The beauty in focus is 'Short & Cute' Nithya Menon.
To remind you: Few months back, when the reporters asked Nithya if she is ready to get paired opposite Prabhas, she replied "Who is Prabhas?". These comments hadn't gone well with the fans and admirers of Young Rebel Star. In fact, some of the young heroes in the Industry came down heavily on Nithya for her arrogance.
An unexpected and note worthy thing has finally happened. The other day, Prabhas graced the 100 days of Nitin and Nithya Menon starrer 'Ishq' as chief guest. Guess, who presented the shield to Nithya Menon? Obviously, it's Prabhas. Whether this might be a pre-planned sketch of Prabhas or a gift to his friend from Nitin is yet to be known! By now, Nithya might have known about 'Who is Prabhas?'

Nithin @ ISHQ Hits Century!

Gone are the days when films ran for hundred days. But one film proved that solid content and strong entertainment is enough to score a hit and also get hundred days run. We are talking about Nitin’s Ishq.
This film has completed hundred days run in seven direct centers. Ishq has collected a total of 10 crores share in its full run. This is a phenomenal achievement amidst tough competition. Nitin is back to form after a string of flops.
Director Vikram Kumar has done a terrific job in getting everything right. Anup’s music played big role in the success of this film. Nitya Menon’s performance and Ajay’s character will get good share in this success. Well done team Ishq.

ISHQ @ Real Hit of the year!

A film with good content is assured of long run and films with poor content may get collections initially but will lose the steam quickly. Three of this year's hits fall in the second category! Businessman and Racha turned out to be big hits commercially and Poola Rangadu also was a good money spinner at the box office.
None of these films stood firm until the fifty day run. Racha is currently into its fifth week and the slump in collections is clearly evident. There is one film that was a good hit at the box office, which is having a brilliant run. That is none other than Nitin's Ishq, which is currently running in five theaters in Nizam alone. This film is into eleventh week and it is still getting share in Hyderabad.
Even though this film was released in limited screens, in this age of piracy, Ishq holding its ground for such a long period is excellent. When all the above films are flashy hits, this is one real hit with solid content and superb music. Congrats team Ishq!

Nithin's ISHQ @ Completes 50 Days

Nitin and Nithya Menon’s romantic entertainer ‘Ishq’ has completed its 50 day run today. This is no mean achievement in today’s trade environment and it is even more impressive as ‘Ishq’ is not a regular ‘mass film’. The movie has won a lot of acclaim for its cool love story, good performances and brilliant cinematography. The songs scored by Anoop Rubens proved to be extremely popular too.
‘Ishq’ has been directed by Vikram Kumar and Shreshta Movies banner has produced the film. This success has given Nitin’s career a much needed boost and he is overjoyed with the film’s success at the Box Office. The success of ‘Ishq’ proves yet again that when it comes to a movie’s success at the Box Office, ‘class films’ need not necessarily fail.

Nithin @ Is Just Next To Mahesh Babu!!

You may wonder in what aspect Nithin stands just next to Mahesh Babu. But that is true in this aspect. Here are the details.
In overseas market this year, after ‘Businessman’ it’s Nithin’s ‘Ishq’ that stood as the highest grosser. Ishq collected almost Rs 75 lakh gross in overseas market and thus stood in place-2. And the 3rd place has gone to ‘Love Failure’ so far that made around Rs 65 lakh gross.
So, the overseas market statistics show that only the story and direction plays vital role in the success of a film.

Massive demand @ for ISHQ remake rights!!

Nitin and Nithya Menon’s ‘Ishq’ is doing good business across all urban centers and the movie has given a much needed boost to the career of Nitin. The success of the movie has caught the attention of Hindi and Tamil producers and we are being told that there is a massive demand for the remake rights of the film. The producers of ‘Ishq’ are reportedly being offered good amounts for the remake rights and a decision can be expected soon.
Ishq’s contemporary and breezy love story certainly has a lot of appeal for all markets and that is the reason for this demand. Vikram Kumar directed this film and P.C.Sriram handled the cinematography.

Nithin ISHQ @ Super Collection in Nizam!!

Nitin’s romantic entertainer ‘Ishq’ has turned in a super performance in the Nizam area. For 10 days, the movie has turned in a share of about Rs. 2 Crore 20 Lakhs. This is a very good amount for Nitin. The movie would have had even better collections if not for the exam season. Nithya Menon and Nitin’s chemistry, coupled with some outstanding cinematography from P.C.Sriram, is helping the movie big time.
Sreshta Movies has produced the film and Vikram Kumar is the director. Anoop Rubens scored the music for this movie.

Nitya Menon's @ Arrogance Still Not Gone!?

Despite scoring a hit, she is one of those beautiful heroines who struggle a lot to make their mark. Nitya Menon was earlier tangled with 'arrogance' issue that missed good berth in Tollywood and she hasn't learned from it, say critics.
Nitya Menon's life has been a hectic schedule shuttling between different channels' offices in Hyderabad. She should thank 'Ishq', which has given her second hit and a chance to resurrect. But Nitya looked like the same old sexy beauty spoiled by the stroke of arrogance again. Reacting to a question posed by media about the tips she got from ace cinematographer PC Sreeram, Nitya showed her 'intelligence'. 'I did my job and he has done his part well. Professionals don't really advice each other', she stressed. If you could read between the lines, PC Sreeram is a professional and his remarkable achievements always speak for him. Then, what is that Nitya is talking about herself.
A beauty of hardly two films describing her as a 'best' in acting is not working well with Tollywood critics. 'She still needs to correct her attitude. Though she downplayed that 'snake' for all these days, it is back once again after scoring a hit', a noted critic said. We have to see how will she deal with this!

NaraRohit-Nithya @ Okkadina Movie Stills!!

BoxOffice @ Nithin Gets Oxygen, Sunil Going Steady!!

The report has arrived from the collection centers and it appears that two movies are doing quite well. Firstly, the success run of ‘Poola Rangadu’ is continuing and it has been joined by ‘Ishq’. The film posters, the positive pre-release publicity, the different look of Nithin, Nithya Menen etc have worked.
‘Ishq’ has garnered good openings and strong positive talk. Nithin who was suffering a drought of hit has breathed relief and got oxygen with this. The film’s major credits must be attributed to the ace cinematographer P C Sriram and the different direction of Vikram Kumar who came up with ‘13B’ before.
‘Nippu’ which released last week is going very dull. ‘Love Failure’ is getting an average to above average collection graph. ‘Poola Rangadu’ is going stable with its collections.

Nithya Menon @ Upset with Rajamouli's remark!!

Director Rajamouli is not known for making negative remarks at anyone. He always boasts of others and maintains his 'Ajatha Satruvu' status. Although he is aware of the mistakes and short comings of others, Rajamouli keeps distant from talking about those.
But Rajamouli surprised everyone when he said that actress Nithya Menon should keep a watch on her weight. Rajamouli watched Ishq and liked it. He praised Nitin for being persistent and also has rich praises for Nithya's performance. But his only complaint was that the actress is on weightier side. "Nitya menon. I love her performance. Completely Natural! Hope she minds her weight a bit" is what Rajamouli has to say about her.
Nitya is upset with these comments of the superstar director. She hates people calling her fat or short. She reacted wildly when one journo took a dig at her by asking if she is ready to star opposite six foot tall Prabhas. Let us see if she reacts to Rajamouli's comment on a public forum or in an interview.

ISHQ Dominates @ 'Poolarangadu' In Collections!!!

The collections of the film ‘Ishq’ are rocking up. The film has been bagging positive response from all corners and steadily increasing its collections. Many centers are recording houseful collections although the opening day collections were around 70% on an average.
It is known that the film ‘Poolarangadu’ is doing well at box office of B and C centers. But interestingly, despite a soft youthful urban love story, ‘Ishq’ is also making a big fortune at A, B and C centers.
Trade analysts are saying that if this speed continues in total run, Ishq may give a tough competition for Poola Rangadu. Right now the word of mouth publicity is getting stronger for ‘Ishq’. Let us wait and see.

Rajamouli's @ Worries for Nithya Menen!!

The tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli is one man who is known for his objective oriented talk and doesn't really waver in his thoughts. He is also honest in giving out his opinions on other movies and actors. Right now, it appears that Rajamouli seems to be a little concerned about one heroine.
This girl happens to be very talented and naturally beautiful but the problem is her shape. We are talking about the magnetic face beauty Nithya Menen and she has stolen hearts once again with her act in the recent release 'Ishq'. As it is, Nithya has a short height so given her chubby figure, she looks further short.
Rajamouli from his end reportedly mentioned that he is hoping to see Nithya focusing on her weight and shape. It is not just Rajamouli but quite a number of cine folks who have expressed the same opinion. Nithya has it all to make it to the top league and all she needs to do is shape up. Hope she obliges to all the concerns.

Review @ Nithin 'ISHQ' Movie - Romantic Entertainer!!

Rating: 3/5
Banner:
 Sreshta Media Pvt Ltd
Cast: Nithin, Nithya Menen, Ajay, Nagineedu, Sindhu Tolani, Ali and others
Music: Anup Rubens
Cinematographer: P C Sreeram
Editor: Sreekar Prasad
Story, screenplay, direction: Vikram Kumar
Producer: Vikram Goud
Release date: 24/02/2012

Story:
Rahul (Nitin) is a happy go lucky guy, who gets attracted by Priya (Nithya Menon), his co passenger on a flight. Unexpected things happen and after initial cat fights, they both turn good friends. After sometime they fall in love with each other and when things seem brighter, Priya’s elder brother Shiva (Ajay) enters the scene. Rahul and Shiva had a fight in the past and that is enough for Shiva to say no to Rahul’s love. What does he do to succeed in love is the rest of the story.
Analysis:
Ishq is a film targeted at younger crowds. It has young body, heart and soul and the first half of the movie lives up to the expectations more than expected. Second hour is about a single conflict that has to be obviously solved in the end in some or the other way.
So, the second half scenes run on a predictable note. Some scenes work big time in this hour. Rest of the film is flat without many surprises. Director tried to tell the routine story in a different format. He succeeded to some extent, but lost control over it during the penultimate scenes.
Situations looked forced towards the end. The film has been dragged for quite some time by then and so there won’t be any complaints because of the hurriedness in the end. Saying so, Ishq is not thoroughly entertaining. It is an attempt to keep the audience entertained all the way. More comedy in the flow might have helped the cause. On a whole it is a time pass entertainer which would help you to kill some time.
Performances:
Nitin did a nice job. He has grown in confidence as an actor and there is ease in his body language. Nithya Menon is impressive. She is one of the finest actresses that are in business now. Ajay is splendid as Nithya’s brother. He is too good an actor and this role gives him ample scope to prove his skills. Rest of the star cast doesn’t have much to do. Everyone did their part among the support cast.
Technicalities:
Music by Anup is very good. Lachamma song is rocking. Cinematography by PC Sriram is splendid. Editing is fine. Dialogues are good too. The production quality is up to the mark. Director Vikram Kumar is very talented. Certain scenes show how good a director he is. He can do wonders with a solid script. Definitely a talent to watch out for.
Final Word: Ishq is a romantic entertainer told in a commercial format. At the box office, the film has the right kind of ingredients to connect with the multiplex, youth and family audiences. That way, this film is bound to bring Nithin back into the race.

First Day @ First Show Updates - ISHQ!!

Nitin shed some weight to make his presence innocence; he was completely at his best and shown complete authority over his emotions and expressions. It’s could have been better this film will be a personal favorite flick for Nitin for the kind of freshness and character. Nitya Menon looks cute in the film, done a neat job. She is extremely good in sarees and in Goa episodes. She did well in her limits. Ajay has different shades in his character, he was good in his role. He generated comedy in few scenes where he was in frustration. Sindu Tulani is natural as sister of Nitin. Rohini performed well in her limited character. Ali got a decent role and he generated neat comedy. Nagineedu, Supreet are adequate. Thagubothu Ramesh was wasted. Rest of the cast was okay.
Story of the film is routine one, but with a different screenplay. The Film is all about how hero wins the heart of Lover’s family to marry her. Direction by Vikram Kumar who made his debut with ISTAM (2001) and 13B comes up with an OKAY first half, but second half runs in predictable mode with some interesting screenplay at pre climax. Screenplay should have been more compact. Music by Anup Rubens and Arvind Shanker is good. Background Music sounded a bit inspired though. Dialogues by Ramesh Samala were natural and humorous in parts. Cinematography by P C Sriram is major asset of the movie. He had given soul to movie and songs. The locations are very good. Editing by Sreekar Prasad is alright. Stunts and Choreography are good. Production Values by Vikram Goud were grand.
ISHQ is a soft film with not much of commercial and mass elements. The plus points of the film are Lead Pair Chemistry, Cinematography, and Music. On the flip side, the movie lacks commercial aspect, Basic Storyline compactness and Predictable narration. On the whole, ISHQ is a decent love film with adequate entertainment. Ishq is nice and neatly attempted Nitin flick in recent times.
Go for it if you don’t mind watching a Class-Oriented love story.

Nithin ISHQ @ Carrying Hit Talk!!

Is Ntin's flop streak which has been troubling the young actor for many years coming to an end? If the inside talk of Ishq proves to be in sync with audience talk, then Nitin's latest movie Ishq should end his miseries. Ishq is a romantic entertainer blended with some action has been directed by '13 B' fame Vikram.
This film is hitting the screens tomorrow and the buzz from the industry sources is unanimously positive. Even the buzz from the Censor Members is pretty good. Ishq has already caught the attention of audience with chartbusting songs. Kodibaye Lachammadi... song has been creating waves in the music industry.
Nithya Menen played the heroine role in this film. Only problem that Ishq might face is the release timing. February last week is not a bankable time to release a film, especially a romantic comedy. So the film should get super positive buzz from the audience to draw decent collections in this dry season. Let's hope that a good film doesn't get killed due to bad timing of release.

Nithin @ In Love With Nithya Menon???

When a youthful romantic entertainer is being canned, it is obvious that the hero and heroine tend to share a lot of chemistry to get the right emotion and feel before the camera. However, there are times when that attraction factor crosses beyond the camera and gets into the real life.
Right now, a gossip is making rounds that something like that has happened on the sets of the film ‘Ishq’. Yes, the buzz is that few sparks began to fly between hero Nithin and the heroine Nithya Menon. Many feel that the ‘Ishq’ cinema seems to have bloomed the fire between both youngsters.
Few unit members reveal that it was Nithya who began to feel comfortable looking at Nithin’s nature and eventually the struggling actor also seemed to enjoy her company. Whether it is just a mere publicity stunt for the film or if there is indeed ‘something something’ happening, we will know in the days to come.
