Frustrated @ Young actor takes huge risk

Sharwanand is one of the very few actors that are immensely talented. Despite having bundles of talent and doing meaningful movies, Sharwanand is still struggling to get his foothold in the industry. Films like Prasthanam and Andari Bandhuvaya won him laurels, but failed to click at the box office. Hence, producers aren't showing much interest in casting him as the lead.
Sharwanand failed to prove himself as a crowd puller and out of this frustration, the actor took a big decision. He is turning a producer this year. He is launching his production house Sharvaa Arts very soon. Sharwanand will be producing films that suit his taste. He believes that films like Prasthanam and Andari Bandhuvaya failed due to proper promotion from the producers.
With Journey success he learnt a lesson that publicity can take a good movie to the audiences and eventually be successful. So Sharwanand decided to invest in films and wants to promote himself. This is a huge risk that any actor could take, that too when the chips are down. Let's hope Sharwa's risk pays off and earn him rich dividends.

Allari Naresh is one of the very few heroes that are consistent at the box office. More than fifty percent of Naresh's movies do well and that is not a mean feat for a hero who does more films than anybody from the current crop. His latest movie is Nuvva Nena in which he teamed up with his buddy Sharwanand, who earlier was his partner in the film Gamyam. However this film is not message oriented film like Gamyam. In fact it is complete contrast to it in every way. Here is the review...
Story:
Avinash (Allari Naresh) is a petty thief who falls head over heels for a beautiful psychiatrist Doctor Nandini (Shriya). Anand (Sharwanand) is a patient of hers, who also fall in love with her. Avinash and Anand start to fight for Nandini and who wins her love finally is what this film is about.
Performances:
Allari Naresh has done complicated and complex characters in the past and such a single dimensional role should be a cake walk for him. He simply sleep walked through the film at ease. Despite being successful and far bigger star than Sharwanand in terms of box office, Naresh accepted to play the second fiddle in this film. Naresh has to be lauded for accepting this role as he realized that it gives him scope to do some comedy.
Naresh could have demanded for an extra song and fight if he wanted, but didn't bother about Sharwanand's extra song and fight scene. Sharwanand too has put up a confident show. He is completely natural in his role. Shriya is as hot as ever and is in perfect shape to make her role believable. She is sizzling hot in the song sequences.
Bramhanandam is fine in a routine character. His dances for Hrudayam Ekkadunnadi and Kilimanjaro received huge applause. Kovai Sarala is loud. Ali is just okay. Raja who was recently seen in Mr. Nookayya has done a guest role in this movie. Rest of the star cast is okay in their respective roles.
On the Technical Front:
We can't expect great technical values from a low budget comedy film. Technically the film is fine up to its standards. Barring cinematography and editing the film is below average in the other departments. Music is pretty bad. None of the songs are worth enough to hear at least once. Bheems is the music composer and he failed big time. Mani Sharma provided the background score and it is plain ordinary. Writing is cliched. Dialogues are too weak to lift the spirits of this comedy film. Director Narayana's output raises doubts over his directorial skills. He failed to impress with his poor handling of the scenes.
Analysis:
Nuvva Nena is a remake of Bollywood romantic comedy Deewana Mastana, which was released fifteen years ago. So practically the director has chosen a fifteen year old story to entertain the 2012 audience. When the story is that old, at least the treatment should be contemporary and match the tastes of current audience. But the director failed to make the comedy work in spite of having superb comedy actors like Naresh, Brahmanandam and Ali on his hand.
There are few spoofs in the first half that tickles the funny bone, but the second half is a complete let down. Unimaginative direction, poor conceiving of scenes and bad dialogues made this comedy an avoidable fare. Nuvva Nena falls short of expectations due to boring comedy and horrible music. Only saving grace are the lead actors and of course Brahmanandam.
Allari Naresh is surely a bankable hero, but the director has to provide at least an average fare for him to take it to the success mark. Sadly, Narayana didn't have enough in him to deliver at least an average comedy. So Allari Naresh and co couldn't do much to save this ship from sinking. Watch it at your own risk.

Journey to release in more theatres

Sharwanand, Jai, Ananya and Anjali starrer Journey is going to release in more number of theatres. Producer Suresh Kondeti is extremely happy with the response for the film and he has announced that the film will be released in 35 more theatres from today onwards. “Usually, we add more theatres after the first week if a film gets a hit talk; however, I am extremely happy to announce that we are adding more theatres right after the first day. At the audio launch, I had predicted that the film will be a bigger hit than Premisthe, but looking at the response the film has got so far, I am confident that it will be a much bigger success than my previous films,” Suresh Kondeti said. The film narrates two love stories set against the backdrop of a road journey. Saravanan directed the film and Velraj is the cinematographer.

Feeling Pity for Sharwanand!

‘Will Tollywood catch an umbrella only for young heroes coming from celebrity families? Are all the gates closed for other enthusiastic and talented youngsters? If not so, why is it that a performer like sharwanand went missing on Telugu screen?’ This is one of the questions raised by a cinema viewer yesterday after watching ‘Journey.’

May be this assumption is true to some extent because absence of Sharwi from long time in Tollywood with no direct releases seen from his side, audiences are taking it for granted that he has shifted the base to Tamil may be in search of meaningful roles or due to lack of space for him in Telugu. Why is it that, our film makers aren’t using such versatile actors who often come at low salary? Other than feeling pity for Sharwi, none can do more than praying the almighty to give him bright chances after this ‘Journey.’

Sexy Shriya stuck in Love Triangle!!!

She has been part of the industry since quite a while and has paired up with the big guns of cinema ranging from Rajinikanth to Chiranjeevi. Even though the new girls have taken over the race, her very presence onscreen always tends to bring whistles of breaths of sigh from the audience.

We are talking about the sizzling beauty Shriya and here is an update about her. It is heard that this pretty starlet is caught in a love triangle. Well, all this is happening in the reel life and not real life. Yes, Shriya would soon be seen in a new film which has to do with a love triangle.
The lucky men to be around her are the tall and talented Allari Naresh along with the classy Sharwanand. Already, the combo of Naresh-Sharwa gave the hit movie 'Gamyam' and this time, they are going for the same girl. Only the film's release will reveal whom will Shriya choose.

Story:
A well knit tale, the story begins with two couple. There is Gautham (Sharwanand) a random stranger who is asked for help by Amrutha (Ananya) who comes to Hyderabad for an interview from a small town. She takes Gautham's help to reach the venue but she doesn't trust him completely. But having spent almost a day she starts liking him but doesn't express her feelings to him. The other track is that of Krishna (Jai) a soft spoken guy who falls in love with the dynamic, practical and straightforward Madhumita (Anjali). She reciprocates his feelings but with certain conditions. The twist occurs when Krishna takes Madhumita to his hometown in a bus from Hyderabad and the same bus has Gautham in it. On the other hand, Amrutha decides to search for Gautham and takes a bus towards Hyderabad. Both buses collide with each other and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Artist performances:
Sharwanand has come up with a classy performance and he gives a natural act which involves the audience into his character. Ananya looks apt as the innocent girl from town and has a sweet appeal. Jai has given a decent performance and he suits the bill of a shy and soft spoken person. The best among the lot was Anjali who is not only sensuous but strong in her performance and portrayal of character. The others were there to fill the screen and add value.

Analysis:
The film happens to be the dubbed version of the Tamil film 'Engeyum Eppothum' and this marks the debut of Murugadoss as producer, Saravanan as director and Fox Star Studios in Kollywood. The thing to appreciate is a simple storyline has been picked up and infused with a gripping screenplay and strong emotions. The subject is easy to connect since bus travel is an integral part of many Indian lives. And the various characters with their lives form a complete circle. Technically, the film has been made with good standard but it is the content which scores. At the box office, given the low cost in making, the film has enough material to gain good profits.
Verdict: Touching but truthful!
