Rajinikanth's @ request to Rebel Star

Whenever superstar Rajnikanth speaks at a public forum, there is always something to learn from him. While he has a message to the listeners he also has some words of wisdom to those on the stage. Something like that happened recently when Rajini went to Bangalore for a special event.
This is the 60th birthday of the Kannada star Ambarish, husband of actress Sumalatha. Ambarish is called the Rebel Star of Kannada cinema. The event also had the likes of megastar Chiranjeevi, collection king Mohan Babu, Nandamuri Balakrishna attending and wishing the senior actor.
Sharing his thoughts, Rajini reportedly mentioned that while Ambarish has played a key role in shaping up the Kannada industry, there is one request he had. Rajini urged Ambi to quit smoking as soon as he can. At one point, even Rajini was a chain smoker but today he is a totally different person.

Tamil Movies @ Massive Attack On Tollywood

First half of 2012 was distasteful for Tamil flicks that are getting dubbed in Telugu. While producers have brought some costly flicks at cheaper costs, these dubbed entertainers have failed to woo Telugu audiences.
Equations have changed in Tollywood this year for the Tamil movies that are aimed to give a tough fight to our biggies. Star treats like Snehitudu, Eka Veera and 3, failed at BO miserably without even collecting their investment for dubbing. But some Telugu producers who are eager to beat the original films and earn more bucks than the local cinema are buying Tamil films at higher costs now. The second half of this year is going to witness big budgeted movies of star heroes like Rajnikanth, Kamal Hasan, Surya, Karthi, Ajith and Vikram.  
List of movies that are ready to attack Tollywood Sincludes Viswaroopam, Kochaidayan, Maatran, Sakuni. Unlike last year, Tamil movies may not get enough theatres this year due to the overcrowding of Telugu super stars films. We have Mahesh, Ramcharan, NTR, Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna aiming the second half of 2012!

Rajinikanth @ Praises Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh

Super Star Rajinikanth has been impressed by Pawan Kalyan's 'Gabbar Singh' movie. A special screening was arranged to Rajinikanth and his family members in Chennai and the Superstar appreciated Pawan Kalyan for his amazing performance. Reportedly, Rajinikanth and his family members have requested to repeat few scenes. In an interview to local media, Rajinikanth told that he thoroughly enjoyed the movie and referred 'Gabbar Singh' as a perfect mass entertainer with commendable performance from Power Star. 'Gabbar Singh' has surpassed all the existing records for the first week and is expected to emerge as the highest grosser of Tollywood. Well, 'Gabbar Singh' has not only liked by the Telugu audience but also by Superstar Rajinikanth.

Pawan Kalyan @ following Rajinikanth suggestion

How should star heroes deliver continuous hits? What kind of stories and directors, they should select in order to please their Fans every time? These could be the questions of headache every star hero will face in one or the other stage of his career. chiranjeevi gave a sharp and simple idea as suggested by Rajinikanth. All this was happening at ‘Gabbar Singh’ audio launch yesterday.

‘Rajini gave me an easy formula. What we need to do is, just select directors only from our own Fans community. Instead of going for star directors in market, our Fans knew more and very well on how to see their heroes on screen. Similarly, Rajini picked up director Shankar and their combination is giving superb hits. One more to join the same stream would be director Harish Shankar, who is a very big Fan and admirer of Pawan Kalyan. So, ‘Gabbar Singh’ will be a definite blockbuster,’ chiranjeevi said.

Mahesh Babu @ Replaced Rajinikanth!!

Though it is not discussed in open, the general fact is that there has always been a divide between the north and south in the entertainment industry. So it is hard for those in the south to make their presence felt in the north. But one man broke the shackles few decades back. He is superstar Rajinikanth.
Even today, he has a mass following across the nation and many are eager to watch him onscreen. Now, it appears that a suitable replacement has come for Rajini. This is in the form of prince Mahesh Babu. Yes, Mahesh has begun to get national acceptance as south Indian superstar.
Recently he was roped in for the ad of the soft drink Thums Up and this has got a major response. Many were swooned by the looks of Mahesh and though his voice was dubbed, Mahesh made his presence felt. What remains to be seen is what would be the impact when Mahesh makes his debut in Bollywood.

Can Mahesh Babu @ Beat Rajnikanth And Kamal??

The south Indian heroes have got a strong following in their regions and they are no less than demigods. But all this glory doesn’t really work when they go to the north. History has shown that in Hindi it is only Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth who did few movies and scored hits. But they never got number 1.
South Indians are always treated as south Indians in Mumbai. But this trend is likely to change with the arrival of Mahesh Babu. Well, Mahesh has plans to land in Mumbai with a bang and it will happen sometime sooner or later. So, if he lands like that then what sort of stardom can he get nationwide?
If he is successful, then he will be the first south Indian to become a national icon. Rajini has done it before but he is still considered as south Indian. For now, Mahesh has arrived with a soft drink ad which is currently becoming a rage across India. Will the same magic be repeated when he arrives with a Hindi movie? Can he get past Rajini and Kamal? Only time will tell…

He is Bigger than @ Mahesh, Pawan, NTR and co.??

Who is the biggest star in Andhra Pradesh now? Most of your answers will be Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan, Jr. NTR and few others, isn't it? But there is another invisible force that is as big as all these stars, if not bigger. He is none other than south Indian Super star Rajanikanth. He has once again proved that his star power is beyond boundaries.
Rajinikanth's latest film Kochadaiyaan is also being made in Telugu along with Tamil and Hindi versions. This movie's theatrical distribution rights have been bagged by Lakshmi Ganapathi films for a record price. They have made a deal for a whopping 30 crore rupees and that too only for Andhra Pradesh. This is the biggest individual deal for any Telugu movie till date. There were few Telugu biggies that made over 30 crores business when all the territories put together.
But this is the biggest outright deal that was ever done. Robo was lapped up for 27 crore rupees deal and Superstar bettered it by a mile with Kochadaiyaan. And that too without Shankar factor. What's amazing about Kochadaiyan is it is not even a regular commercial film. It is India's first performance capture photorealistic film. In other words it is an animation movie in which Rajinikanth is not seen on the screen. Getting such a huge price for a film without his 'real' presence is something out of the world. Rajinikanth's @ Next Project Confirmed!!??

Anything that has to do with superstar Rajinikanth tends to create a huge commotion across the nation and possible overseas too. Right now, he is preparing to take off with his ambitious project 'Kochadaiyaan' and while that is to take shape, another news has begun to make rounds.
Reports from Chennai reveal Rajini has been approached for another project and this is likely to be directed by the talented K V Anand who came up with the hit movie 'Ko' (dubbed in Telugu as 'Rangam'). It is heard that this project might take off during the end of this year.
However, Anand has not confirmed anything about it but he didn't deny about this either. He has been busy with his other project 'Maatraan' starring hot star Suriya and the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal. For now, many are waiting to see when 'Kochadaiyaan' begins and what magic Rajini will cast this time.

Kochadaiyaan @ to speak International!!

Sources confirm that Superstar's Kochadaiyaan will be released simultaenously in Tamil, Hinidi, Telugu and English.
But the highlight would be the English version, also it's heard that Superstar might himself dub for the International version.
Also things are rushed from Soundarya R Ashwin side, the director of Kochadaiyaan wants the film to be completed as earlier as possible.
But buzz is that Superstar is eager to start work with KV Anand, also it's heard that the film handles a political subject with a powerful story line.

Kamal Hassan @ to act in Enthiran Part 2 !!

This is going to be a shocking surprise for Ulaganayagan fans. Earlier in 1998 it was Kamal Hassan who was signed to do Robo(Enthiran) but it was kept aside for technical reasons.
Later in 2011 Rajinikanth acted and it turned out to be blockbuster of the year. But even after that Shankar was keen on making a sequel adds sources but since it requires more strain Rajini wouldn't be preferrred for health reasons.
But with Kamal it can be possbile, also there are possiblities of Rajinikanth to act in Indian sequel. Since Indian story was made keeping the Superstar in mind adds sources.
Seems like director Shankar is going for sequels on the lines of Hollywood films.

Tamil film @ Release Sets New Record!!

This month of February will be remarkable one in the History of Tamil cinema. Within the 3 weeks of this month a total of 13 films has been released setting a new record.
Usually Tamil films don't get released close-to-close says trade analysts. But this is an unexpected and welcomed change in Tamil cinema.
The reason is that Top actors like Rajinikanth, Kamalhassan, Ajith, Vijay, Surya, Vikram, Dhanush, Simbu, Karthi's films are lined up to release only on festival seasons. So all other films are hitting the silver screen in a rapid way.
With this kind of releases producers are also likely to have good buisness adds film circles.

Dhanush @ 'Rajini Made Me Loose My Identity'!!

Singer of popular song ‘Kolaveri Di’ and one of the top most heroes in South circuit dhanush is more often addressed as son-in-law to Rajinikanth. Instead of feeling blessed for marrying Aishwarya (Rajini’s daughter), here is dhanush lamenting for becoming a son-in-law to Rajini as that made him loose his self identity.
Chitchatting with media friends in Mumbai recently, dhanush said ‘I have great respect for Rajini Sir as he is my father-in-law but the special tag for me as Rajini’s son-in-law proved burdensome from the times I married his daughter Aishwarya in 2004. This burden was at the loss of my self identity and individuality. The name and fame I secured on my own before the marriage has been swept away. The first question from media always pops up like, ‘How do I feel as Rajini’s son-in-law?’ But, I am still enjoying this.’
Hardcore Tamil Fans of Rajini irked by these statements are countering that, ‘whatever the status dhanush is enjoying today is just because of Rajini. He should have controlled his words when talking about father-in-law.’

Kamal @ revives Marudhanayagam with Rajini!!

Kamal Haasan is planning to restart his most ambitious project Marudhanayagam, which was halted in early 1997, due to budget issues. Now interestingly Ulaganayagan has an important role for which he wanted to rope in Superstar Rajinikanth.
Birdies say Marudhanayagam is a period film that is taken from the life of 18th century warrior Mohammed Yusuf Khan. Kamal is keen to revive this big budget movie that costs around 150 crores and he wanted to screen it in Telugu, Hindi and English alongside Tamil. When asked about the details Kamal said, “Marudhanayagam is done with 25% of shooting and coincidentally we stopped it exactly where ten years are supposed to pass in the life of the hero.”
Kamal speaking about sharing the screen with Rajinikath in this film said, “Yes, we have a role that is ideal for Rajini in this film.” Concluding the talks Ulaganayagan said, “We have acted together in ten films in our career start, but no one has come up with a worthful script so far. It is up to me to bell the cat now."

Rajinikanth Pulls @ Rs 32 Cr From Tollywood!!

When it is a film with superstar Rajinikanth, it has to be big and grand. And right now, all eyes are on his new movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’. The film is yet to hit the floors and already it is heard that efforts have begun from many corners to bag the dubbing rights. And here is an inside information about it.
A top shot producer of Tollywood has reportedly approached director Soundarya for the dubbing rights and he has given an outright offer for Rs 32 crores. Apparently, Rajini’s earlier movie ‘Robo’ was purchased for a whopping Rs 27 crores and though it didn’t fetch big for the buyer he made a decent margin.
This additional Rs 5 crores is just due to 3D format of the film. But there are few highlights in this project such as Rajini’s special ‘Thaandavam’ for two minutes, the motion capture technology being used, the presence of big guns like Sarath Kumar. Let us wait to see what Soundarya has to say to this offer.

Rajini’s Kochadaiyaan @ Dubbing rights at Whopping Cost!!

Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Kochadaiyaan is about to sell its Telugu dubbing rights at a high price, while the movie is in its pre production stage itself.
Deepika Padukone will romance Rajini in Kochadaiyaan directed by Soundarya R Ashwin. Debutant director has not taken any decision about the price and the distributor, but it is heard that a leading distributor is trying to offer 28 crores for only dubbing rights.
Kochadaiyaan casts veteran actress Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Jackie Shroff, Rukmini and Aadhi in other important roles. Director K.S.Ravikumar has penned the script and will be supervising this film. A.R.Rahman has scored the music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu, Rajiv Menon’s cinematography and Sunil Lulla will be producing the film under Eros Entertainment.

Sarath Kumar @ Thrilling experience with RajiniKanth!!

The actor, politician and TFPC member Sarath Kumar says, he had a thrilling photoshoot with Superstar Rajinikanth for their upcoming venture Kochadaiyaan.
Sarath Kumar will be playing an important role in Soundarya R Ashwin’s debutant directorial Kochadaiyaan, with Deepika Padukone pairing opposite Thalaivar. Sarath said, “I feel honoured to share screen space with Rajinikanth, Kochadaiyaan snapshoot went great and I had thrilling experience with Thalaivar,” while speaking to media after Chennai Rhinos won the CCL semi-final over Telugu Warriors in Chennai.
Director K.S.Ravikumar has penned the script and will be supervising this film. Kochadaiyaan also casts veteran actress Shobana, Rukmini, Aadhi, Nassar and Jackie Shroff in other pivotal roles. A.R.Rahman has scored the music for the lyrics penned by Vairamuthu, Rajiv Menon’s cinematography and Sunil Lulla will be producing the film under Eros Entertainment.

KamalHasan-JackieChan @ to beat Rajini Kanth!!!

Till now, ‘Robot’ of Rajinikanth is rated as the highest ever budgeted flick in South India or few may call it even on Indian screen. Though unofficial, it is almost confirmed that Universal Star Kamal Hasan and Hollywood Star jackie chan are to join hands working together for a multi-lingual project to be produced by Ascar Ravichandran of Ascar films.
Here is the latest buzz. As soon as Kamal completes shooting of his new film ‘Vishwaroopam’ currently on sets, he will jump on to Ascar Films venture. Remuneration which jackie chan is offered for working on this tentatively titled ‘Thalaivan Irukkindraan’ is something around Rs.40 Crores and total budget of the film is Rs.200 Crores which Kamal himself will be directing. Movie will be released in Tamil, English, Telugu and other European languages.
