Story:
This is story of Ram (Dhanush) and Janani (Shruti Haasan), who fall in love at very young age and decide to marry after their graduation. Unexpected events happen and Ram dies. Rest of the story is about the reasons for his death.
Analysis:
As every Tamil film that is releasing in Telugu these days, 3 too is a film with dark shades. This film starts on a colorful note and turns dark and gets darker as the movie progresses. It will be hard to digest the film as it is extremely depressing.
Audiences started walking out of the theaters just few minutes after the second half has started. Aishwarya tried to explore the darker side of life and audiences are not expecting such darkness from this ‘Kolaveri’ film.
Maybe you may find 3 alright if you are prepared to watch a dark film. However, the snail paced second half doesn’t allow the audience to sit through it.
Performances:  
Dhanush came up with extraordinary show yet again. He has lived the character which required him to show various shades of life. He simply excelled in his role. He can expect more awards out of this. Shruti Haasan fails as an actress. She is pathetic in sorrowful scenes. She has gone over the board many a time and it would be hard to bear her ‘performance’. She is definitely not a Kamal in acting. Rohini, Bhanu Priya and others did well.
Technicalities:
Techincally the movie is very good. Aishwarya had a very talented crew at her hands and they have done excellent job behind the screen. Anirudh’s music is pretty impressive. Kolaveri failed to reach the expectations on screen. Background score is good. Cinematography is another asset to the movie. Art department deserves a pat. Production values are nice.
Aishwarya excelled as a director in dealing with the teenage love. She should have stuck to a colorful love subject rather falling into the trap of Tamil dark movies. She failed to bring the right emotions in the latter half of the movie. Saying so, Aishwarya do have few qualities to become a good director, but she needs some fine tuning.
Final Word:
3 will appeal to offbeat movie lovers. Extreme darker tones doesn’t appeal to entertainment seeking Telugu audience.

3 Movie @ 1.5 Sruthi + 1 Dhanush + 0.5 Aish!!

Much hyped '3' movie in which world famous song Kolaveri is a part has hit theatres the other day. Let's check the first talk of it from theatres.
As imagined, the film is a breezy love story. But, the love drama exists only in the first half with second half going more pathos. The very idea of hero's death is not indigestible for many entertainment loving audiences. With the sole clutch unraveled by interval, one loses interest post interval. Cine lovers say 'First half is entertaining in a very realistic way. We have recollected our childhood incidents and college love. But second half is dragged with too much misery inserted into the revealed story line'.
In performances, Sruthi Hassan rocks with her weeping and emotions once again. While Dhanush too did his part as mentally imbalanced guy, his wife and director Aishwarya did justice to screenplay but selected an average script. Simply, 3 movie is just 1.5 Sruthi, 1 Danush and 0.5 Aishwarya Danush!

Dhanush is participating in the aggressive and innovative promotions of 3 releasing day after tomorrow.
Everyone are eagerly waiting to see 3 that is going to hit the screens on March 30th, which has created enough zeal with ‘Why this Kolaveri di.. .’ track. 3 has started the advance booking of the tickets, as this is the first movie releasing in this summer and the team is busy promoting the movie releasing in Tamil and Telugu as well.

Kasthoori Raja is producing 3 under his Wonder bar Films banner that has music by Anirudh Ravichander, which is widely accepted and the trailers released are highly impressive. Dhanush says, “3 releases this Friday, just 2 days to go, its going be the slowest days of my life eagerly waiting to know your feedbacks.”
Debutant director Aishwarya Dhanush tweeted, “2 days to go. I can neither sleep nor eat. Levels of tension and nervousness sky rocketing. It’s almost time to share my journey of "3" with you.” 7 am Arivu actress Shruthi said, “Janani is my jaan hope you'll love her and ram.”

Dhanush @ 3 Set to release in 700 theatres in AP!

Dhanush, Shruti Haasan starrer 3 is set to release in as many as 700 theatres in Andhra Pradesh alone. Natti Kumar, who had bought the dubbing rights of the film at a fancy price, seems to be going all out to screen the film in maximum possible theatres. “We are planning to release the film 700 theatres across the state on March 30. It means that 3 will get a bigger release than most big budget film featuring a top Telugu star. The music album has got a very good response from everyone and 21 year old Anirudh has given excellent music for the film. We are planning to host a premiere show on March 29 and the film’s cast and crew are expected to attend the event,” Natti Kumar told the media. He also revealed that someone has been trying to pose hurdles for the film’s release. “We had got South India Film Chamber’s approval for the film’s title. Despite this approval, R K Productions tried registering the title ’3′ to create problems for the film’s release. However, the issue has now been solved,” Natti Kumar stated. Aishwarya Dhanush has directed the film and it’s said to be an intense love story. Anirudh Ravichandran is the music director.

Dhanush, a national award winner and an internationally famous singer has signed the dotted line with director Simbudevan.
The national award winner is gearing up with more projects in Kollywood and Bollywood as well. Dhanush is making his Bollywood debut with Ranjhnaa being directed by Anand L Roy of Tanu Weds Manu fame, he also signed one more movie with Bharath Bala and AR Rahman will be composing the music for both the films.

Sources confirm that Dhanush and Shruti Hassan starring '3' movie will hit the screens on April 6.
The film which was directed by Aishwarya R Dhanush was earlier said to release on March 30th, but things have finally come to a conclusion it seems.
Also the Hindi audio launch of Dhanush's '3' is planned big adds the team. The movie will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Tamil film @ Release Sets New Record!!

This month of February will be remarkable one in the History of Tamil cinema. Within the 3 weeks of this month a total of 13 films has been released setting a new record.
Usually Tamil films don't get released close-to-close says trade analysts. But this is an unexpected and welcomed change in Tamil cinema.

Dhanush @ 'Rajini Made Me Loose My Identity'!!

Singer of popular song ‘Kolaveri Di’ and one of the top most heroes in South circuit dhanush is more often addressed as son-in-law to Rajinikanth. Instead of feeling blessed for marrying Aishwarya (Rajini’s daughter), here is dhanush lamenting for becoming a son-in-law to Rajini as that made him loose his self identity.
Chitchatting with media friends in Mumbai recently, dhanush said ‘I have great respect for Rajini Sir as he is my father-in-law but the special tag for me as Rajini’s son-in-law proved burdensome from the times I married his daughter Aishwarya in 2004. This burden was at the loss of my self identity and individuality. The name and fame I secured on my own before the marriage has been swept away. The first question from media always pops up like, ‘How do I feel as Rajini’s son-in-law?’ But, I am still enjoying this.’
Hardcore Tamil Fans of Rajini irked by these statements are countering that, ‘whatever the status dhanush is enjoying today is just because of Rajini. He should have controlled his words when talking about father-in-law.’

'Kolaveri' Concert @ disappoints Dhanush!!

It was a disappointing night for Dhanush's fans. 'Kolaveri Di' concert, which was supposed to drive the Bengaluru audience crazy on February 12, tested the patience of the people, who were forced to wait for the actor's arrival with bated breath for close to three hours. The show organisers' poor management created the mess, which has upset the son-in-law of Rajinikanth.
Dhanush, who repeatedly kept telling that his performance could last only for 10 minutes on Twitter, on landing the stage realised that it was promoted as 'Kolaveri' concert by the organisers. As he said before, he entertained the audience for 10 minutes but the people were unhappy and obviously disappointed with the 'Kolaveri di...' hitmaker's blink and miss appearance.
Now, the actor has claimed that he did not know how the organisers had planned it. It was a miscommunication between his team and the event organisers, which lead to chaos, and he takes the blame for it. However, the 28-year-old believes that he was thrilled with the audience response and he thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Dhanush hopes the audience were also happy with it.

We hear that the organisers have pointed their fingers at the Kannada film industry. Zubair Akhtar, one of the organisers, has told a leading daily that it was due to the pressure and threats from the Sandalwood, they asked Dhanush to perform for only 10 minutes. In a bid to avoid troubles, they took the safe route.

Shruti Haasan has won her battle against a leading Tamil magazine. Last month, this Tamil magazine had published an article that Shruti Haasan and Dhanush were having an affair and soon it kickstarted a storm in Kollywood. Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya Dhanush condemned the news and stated that it just a baseless rumour. However, Shruti Haasan went a step ahead and slapped a notice against the magazine for publishing the article. Nearly a month later, the owners of this leading Tamil magazine apologized to Shruti Haasan. Confirming the news, Shruti Haasan tweeted, “Today is an important day for me the weekly magazine that carried a completely fabricated story on me has made an apology (I appreciate it).Ultimately the truth does prevail.this whole mesh of so called sources and stories may finally untangle at least in my world .” Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan is busy shuttling between Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai on work and she’s reportedly keen on acting in more Telugu films.

Yes, the great news for all Sachin Tendulkar fans is here as Dhanush, the latest youth icon of India has composed a song expressing his tribute to the batting maestro.
