Minimal knowledge on Telugu films is enough to say that Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR are a set of heroes whose reach in public goes on increasing with each film. Either a flop or a disaster will never hinder their ever increasing following. Collections of a dud ‘Komaram Puli’ or an average ‘Khaleja’ or a hit ‘Brindavanam’ will showcase their range.
This year, we have seen ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Oosaravelli’ showing the value of Star Power in Tollywood almost browbeating ‘Magadheera.’ As Mahesh and NTR are done with their duties to lift the spirits of struggling Telugu cinema, now next hero in the queue would be definitely Pawan Kalyan. If cards fall in right places, upcoming ‘panjaa’ might cross Rs.100 Crore mark easily. Constraint being Power in Pawan Kalyan should be utilized fully by director Vishnuvardhan. The two big releases within the gap of seven days, mahesh babu's Dookudu and Jr.NTR's Oosaravelli have resulted in a lot of drama, excitement and expectations among the fans as well as the film loving public. The fans of the two heroes are now in a bitter war of words with one another.
Both the sides are claiming that their film has grossed the highest amount, their hero's film has beaten all previous records of first day collections etc. etc. The figures of total collections, share, gross, number of screens etc, are being released to the media. The figures given by both the groups may not be exactly correct, as there is sure to be some exaggeration; the fans on both sides are still making tall claims.

Ever since the release date of ‘Oosaravelli’ is confirmed as October 6, there was an initial positive talk in film circles on the movie which very soon on the release day turned into a divided verdict and as the weekend has come to an end, there is a clear cut judgment that ‘Oosaravelli’ is trailing behind.
While close circles to ‘Oosaravelli’ makers and Nandamuri Fans feel that a section of public are deliberately circulating a negative talk on their film, Prince Fans supporting ‘Dookudu’ success are also complaining the same regarding a sharp drop in their collections. Successful producer Dil Raju has now announced that he will make a film with Ram Charan as hero. This is the first time that Dil Raju is making a film with Ram Charan. The film will be directed by Vamsi Paidipalli of Munna and Brindavanam fame.
Ram Charan is now currently busy with Rachhca being directed by Sampat Nandi. Ram Charan will shoot for the new film as soon as he is finished with Rachcha. Details about the heroines, star cast and crew will be announced shortly.Tarak foresees 200 Cr collections in 2017
Venky-Mahesh film to raise a toast to family system
The producer said that the film got materialized after Mahesh Babu gave the nod after he listened to the story on the sets of Dookudu. Venkatesh had agreed to act in the two-heroes film even earlier. The scouting for the other hero ended with Prince. To go on the floors in November, the film is scheduled for a 2012 summer release. The film plumps for the unique family system, which is at the center of the great Indian ideology of one world family. Thus the title Seethamma Vaiktlo Sirimalle Chettu. It was Srikanth Addala's conviction that only two top stars will be apt for the story. The two stars reportedly play brothers in this movie.
NTR Breaks Free, Ram Charan on a Spree!
When NTR is struggling to shrug off the mass image, Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan is going in the same direction that NTR travelled early in his career. Charan attempted something different with Orange which didn't click at the box office. Charan's mindset is completely changed with just one flop and he has switched back to doing routine mass films.
His current production Racha is a run of the mill film and the next to follow will be another routine fare. Charan zeroed in on Vamsi Paidipally who made Brindavanam, which didn't bear a hint of novelty. Even producer Dil Raju is making films that are safe bet for him and buyers in the recent past. So we can't expect them to suddenly change the genres when on successful track. Seems like Charan will soon fall in the mass trap and later realize the pain in it!
'Rajanna' Talk: Positive and Negative
So, here is a look at the plus and minus of the film. Though it is given that the director of the film is Vijayendra Prasad, many say it is almost Rajamouli who is the director. Incidentally, that is also meant to be the cause for delay in the shaping up of his project 'Eega'. Ideally, Rajamouli is expected to take care of the action sequences in 'Rajanna' and it is coming in his father's name as the director.
The reason behind this is move is so that the expectations will come down. Sources say this is more like a family game. Due to expectations, the risk is always high. The funda is either the artist should be small or Rajamouli's name should not be there if big heroes are there. And usually, it is Rajamouli who also takes care of the script along with the fights. The other plus for the cinema is, it is the Razakar story in Telangana backdrop so there is good pre release hype.
On the Minus side, reports are arriving that the film got dragged at many places. Also, there is a talk that too much of sentimental overdose has been included. The other point is, Nag is an outdated actor. So, many are saying he cannot perform like before. 'Rajanna' is a period movie so it will be a little skeptical on how the audience will relate to the film.
Only the film's release can provide the true answer.
