"We (My family & I) were enjoying the meal at the restaurant. Saif and his friends were at a nearby table, making loud noise and creating ruckus. So, we asked the management to intervene and keep it down. This failed on three attempts atleast. So, then we decided to move down stairs," said Iqbal Sharma.
"In the meantime, Saif has gone out of the restaurant. He was coming back in, while we were going out. We crossed at the narraow passage, while going down stairs. At that point, he came up to me and abused me. He said "Why are you complaining? If you want everything quiet, you should go to library. This is not a library. Whom do you think I am? Don't you know, who I am?". We exchanged some words and after that he pushed me. At that time my father-in-law intervened and Saif attacked him by punching on the face. Three of his friends who were sitting at the table till that time joined Saif and all the four of them started punching. My nose is broken and My ear-drum is sore," he added.
As section 325 is a bailable offence, Saif would be arrested and then the bail will be granted. "Saif Ali Khan's arrest in inevitable. After considering the surety, bail will be granted. We had already sent our teams to his Bandra residence, but he is not there. Even his mobile was switched off," said the ACP.
Reports say, the actor's girlfriend Kareena Kapoor was present at Taj on the night of the scuffle. The police have confirmed that Kareena will be questioned and her statement will be recorded.
