They paired up for only one film but their onscreen chemistry was so intense that they are being tagged as a hot pair. We are talking about the duo of the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi and the sensuous beauty Vidya Balan. Both had paired up for the hit movie 'The Dirty Picture'.
The film had both involving in only one lip kiss. But now, it is heard that both will be indulging in a series of smooches and steamy bedroom sequences. All this is happening in their next film 'Ghanchakkar'. Sources say both Emraan and Vidya are essaying the role of husband and wife.
The film is being directed by Rajkumar Gupta and it is heard that the director is yet to approach both actors to convince them for the scenes. But he is confident that they would oblige. Emraan's recent venture Jannat 2 has also opened to strong collections and he was seen smooching Esha Gupta in that too.

Sources say that Anushka Shetty who was considered to be the sexiest and top most celebrity of the south has been approached for the role played by Vidhya Balan.
The makers beleived if Anushka accepts the offer, it would create waves among both Telugu and Tamil audience earning big box-office collections.

Shahrukh Khan @ Wants to Work with Vidya Balan!!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says he is looking forward to working with Vidya Balan.
"She is a wonderful actor. I haven't seen 'The Dirty Picture' but I will see it tomorrow. I have seen 'Ishqiya' on DVD and I just loved her performance. I have also seen 'Paa'," Shah Rukh told reporters.
"Apart from being a marvelous actress, I think all these girls are such huge stars. I believe girls are very hard working compared to boys. I hope I get a chance to work with her," he added.
Vidya too seemed to be thrilled at the prospect.
"Why not, I would love to work with him," she replied when asked about working with Shah Rukh.
Shah Rukh Khan is presently working on his next untitled film with Yash Raj Films, where he will share screen space with Katrina Kaif.

Vidya Balan’s The Dirty Picture which was released in Telugu and Tamil along with original Hindi version has proved to be a big hit at the box office. It has collected close to Rs. 65 crore nett in just ten days, that too only in India.

The Dirty Picture collected 11 crore nett in its second weekend at Indian box office. This proves that the film hasn’t lost the steam and is likely to rake in few more crores before the business comes to an end.
As per early estimates The Dirty Picture is likely to join the 100 crore club and if it does, it would be a phenomenal feat for a film which has no big star to boast of. With the inspiration of TDP, many more Dirty Pictures are in pipeline, says the buzz.

Film maker Ram Gopal Varma is one man who is known for his straight forward statements and open thoughts. And after the arrival of the social networking site Twitter, he has been pushing the pedal and is pouring out his thoughts every now and then much to the delight of his followers.

Now, one of his recent tweets caught the attention of many. This was a huge barrage of kisses that Ramu gave for a hero's daughter. She is none other than Ekta Kapoor, daughter of Jeetendra. Apparently, Ramu seemed to be very happy with the success that Ekta scored through her recent production 'The Dirty Picture'.

Vidya Balan Booked Under C-Case

A city court on Wednesday directed the police to take action against the film ‘The Dirty Picture’ and register cases against actress vidya balan and producer Ekta Kapoor. The orders were issued after an advocate Azad filed a petition in Nampally Criminal Court stating that ‘The Dirty Picture’ had many objectionable scenes and therefore, he sought action against vidya balan.

Admitting the petition, court directed the Nallakunta Police Station to register a case. In his petition, Azad stated that obscenity in movie would spoil tender minds and their career. Stating the objectionable scenes on posters and wall papers would divert attention of viewers, he sought direction from court to remove them. vidya balan played lead role in movie made on the life of south Indian cine star Silk Smitha. However, Nallakunta inspector M. Suman Kumar told that a case would be registered after receipt of court’s order.

RGV Praises Ekta For 'Dirty'

It isn't often that Ram Gopal Verma praises any film openly.
Ramu is all praise for fellow filmmaker Ekta Kapoor for making a movie such as The Dirty Picture and making families watch it.

On his microblogging site, Ramu posted: “ Kudos to the family queen Ekta for making even families see Dirty picture. Ekta proved once for all what I always suspected in my mind that all families deep inside are down and dirty ( sic)”.
Does this mean Ramu can get Ekta to produce his movie or not? Well, we will have to wait and watch.

The Dirty Picture encourages Top Heroine to go Sexy!

The film 'The Dirty Picture' has been causing quite a stir since the time of its making. With the buzz that it is on the life of the south sex bomb Silk Smitha, the men became quite curious and are now lining up across various theatres to revisit the life of the famous and unforgettable sex symbol.

Now, it is heard that the film has shown a strong impact on a top league actress. She is none other than Kareena Kapoor. News is that Kareena who has now begun shooting for her film 'Heroine' realized that it is almost similar to 'The Dirty Picture'. Buzz is that Bebo was quite firm on rules of glamour and skin show.
However, after watching the act of Vidya Balan in 'The Dirty Picture', Kareena has reportedly decided to go few extra rounds sexier in her 'Heroine'. Sources say she has also given the unit members full liberty to come up with extra dose of glamour show if need be. Let us see if this will be good enough to beat Silk Smitha's film or not.

Bebo-Vidya to end the Cold War

It seems the 'Cold War' brewing up between Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan will come to an end now. The duo is known for their animosity towards each other. The reason for this was the former leading man in their lives, Shahid Kapoor. However the duo might end up their hostility and would patch up. Film maker, Karan Johar has now decided to release the trailer of his upcoming flick, 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu' starring Kareena Kapoor, with Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’.

The sources claim that Karan thinks that 'The Dirty Picture' is the most awaited film and the film before its release only has gain a lot of popularity, so releasing his film's trailer with Vidya's film would benefit him. Another reason is that Karan and Ekta Kapoor are best buddies. Apparently, this decision of Karan's has not gone well with Bebo and she is highly upset with the film maker. Hence, Bebo has chosen to keep mum on this as she believes that actors should not interfere between the film producers. So all is well from Bebo, but same cannot be on Vidya's part.

The Dirty Picture Movie Review: Yes! It’s Dirty but entertains! Ekta Kapoor has yet again hit bulls eye with an unconventional subject that is true and debatable. The film totally belongs to its lead protagonist Vidya Balan who once again proves that there is no one like her. 

Story:
The film is a biopic on a C Grade actress of the South Indian actress Silk Smitha played by the very talented Vidya Balan. She has just one dream, to make it big in the industry and she could do anything for it. She gets whatever she wants but loses her identity of a small town girl. As Suryakant (Naseeruddin Shah) who plays a top actor of the 80’s era puts it in the film, she becomes the dark secret of the film world that cannot be acknowledged in daylight. The first half shows how she is the main reason films work and the second half shows the lows of her career. 

Analysis:
Milan Luthria is a pro at showing the intricate details of a true life story. He did it in ‘Once Upon A time in Mumbaai’ and he does it again. I haven’t closely monitored Silk Smitha’s life but from what is said about her, Milan gets it right. The film transports you to the 80’s era successfully and how films were made those days and what worked. Sex sells, yes just the packaging changes. It is shown in a more sophisticated manner these days but it’s true, how much ever we may try to defend. The point is that the woman is shown sultry loses everything, but those who are showing her in that light and those who are watching it get away. The film makes you think. 

Talking about the entertaining aspects of the film, it has it all. It has all the masala needed for a commercial potboiler and those who refrain from watching emotions will love the first half. Second half is more on the darker side and is not for people who like light comic flicks. It gives glimpses of Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’ as the latter was also about the ups and downs of a model’s career. But ‘The Dirty Picture’ hits the right nail and works big time.

Performances:
Vidya Balan, enough said!! The name is synonym to abundance of talent. The gets into the nerve of the character and forgets that she is Vidya, she is Silk in the film and makes you believe that. She has put on 12 kgs for the film and is shown bulky but manages to look good, apart from a few scenes where here tummy is focused more on. Tusshar Kapoor plays a writer who is in love with Silk. He does a decent job. Emraan Hashmi has a mystic charm to him. He entertains with his dialogue delivery and is refreshing to see him in a different role than seen before. Naseeruddin Shah is a gem. He is par-a-class. The rest of the supporting cast is aptly cast. 

Technicalities:
Direction is a total thumbs up. Background score totally apt. Music is a blend of the 80’s with Bappi Lahiri’s ‘Ooh La La’ already a chartbuster while ‘Ishq Sufiana’ is in sync with the on-going trend. Milan manages to recreate the 80’s era and it’s refreshing to see for the younger generation who haven’t witnessed the actual. Cinematography is good. Dialogue and its delivery is a major plus. All the dialogues are worth lauding.

Minus Points: overdose of emotions in the second half

Final Word: Truly said in the film, A film works for three reasons, entertainment, entertainment and entertainment and ‘The Dirty Picture’ has loads of it.

Vidya Balan is acting more pricey. The reason behind this is the actor’s role in her forthcoming flick ‘The Dirty Picture’ which is much hyped and talked about. The film is estimated to be a huge hit because of the characters and the story line of the film. Vidya Balan was recently approached for the role of playing the female lead of the film ‘Shaadi ke side effects’ which is a sequel to ‘Pyaar ke Side Effects’. The buzz is going around stating that Vidya had demanded much big amount as her acting fee than the male lead Farhan Akhtar. This shocking demand of Vidya has brought second thoughts in the mind of the filmmaker whether to sign her or not. Vidya and Farhan will be teaming up for the first time in this movie together. Farhan Akhtar has signed on but even his remunerations have yet to be settled down.

'The Dirty Picture' to unveil Imran-Kareena's next

Looks like this piece will be a treat, especially for Karan Johar's fans... The first look of KJo-produced 'Ek Main Aur Ek Tu' (EMEAT) will be revealed on the release of Vidya Balan starrer 'The Dirty Picture'.
Buzz is that the trailer of 'EMEAT' will be attached to the domestic (India) prints of 'The Dirty Picture'.
Directed by newcomer Shakun Batra, the film stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor, and is expected to release in February 2012.

According to our sources, Karan was keen to have huge eyeballs for his trailer and felt that 'The Dirty Picture', being a keenly anticipated film, would make for the perfect platform.
While Karan confirmed the news on Twitter, Tanuj Garg, CEO - Balaji Motion Pictures remarked, "Dharma and Balaji are close. Karan is a great friend and we instantly accepted his request."
