The first look of Vijay, Kajal starrer Thuppaki was leaked on the internet earlier today. A R Murugadoss is directing this bilingual film which is simultaneously being shot in Tamil and Telugu. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer and Harris Jayaraj is composing the music. Vijay is reportedly playing an encounter specialist in the film and most of it was shot in and around Mumbai and Pune. Interestingly, Santosh Sivan did a special photoshoot for the film for the first time in his career and the first look of the film has reportedly stunned Vijay’s fans. Earlier this year, Vijay, Jiiva, Sriram and Ileana starrer Nanban was dubbed in Telugu as Snehitudu, although it didn’t do too well. Thuppaki has enough fire power in its belly to impress even the Telugu audience, thanks to the presence of noted names like Kajal, A R Murugadoss, Santosh Sivan and Harris Jayaraj. But can Vijay find a breakthrough in the Telugu market like Vikram, Suriya and Karthi have managed in recent years? Lets wait and watch.

When will @ Anushka become Pregnant?!

Even though away from Tollywood from a long time, Anuskha’s admirers in Tollywood remain the same. Apparently, the wait for this sexy actress to be seen on the big screen continues. However, anushka seems to be pretty impressed with one heroine from B-town who happens to be Vidya Balan. Yes, these days our Sweety is going gaga over Vidya’s achievement with two flicks viz. ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Kahaani.’ ‘She is daring enough to zero on those bold roles which are usually neglected by established actresses. Such inspiring performances by Vidya made me to try something different. In fact, I too have similar traits of Vidya to pick up challenging roles and excel in them,’ said anushka. Latest buzz is that, anushka has been approached to play the pregnant lady reprising Vidya’s character in Southern version of ‘Kahaani.’

RGV Wiped Manchu Lakshmi's Tears?

Ram Gopal Varma, the name is considered the personification of pure talent and genius. At the same time, the name is also notorious for the least importance towards feelings like love. So it is natural that a man like Ramu would find it hard to show compassion towards certain things or individuals.
Anyways, all those perceptions about him are getting cleared one by one. The latest we see is Ramu’s gesture which seems to have wiped the tears of Lakshmi Manchu. Apparently, the Manchu girl was expressing few bitter feelings about not being projected properly in her new movie ‘Department’.
Now, Ramu has released a song from the film titled as ‘Kammo’ and it has our lady dressed elegantly and shaking a leg. Buzz is that since Lakshmi was worried that she was not being projected maybe that’s why Ramu released this video. She is seen as Sanjay Dutt’s wife in the film.

One more challenge for NTR!

We have been discussing about NTR Junior's declining power of dances. Dammu movie proved that NTR is not the best anymore for whatever the reason be! NTR will have to come up with the best to compete with Allu Arjun, who is sitting pretty on top. Even Ram Charan fluid dance moves are setting the temperatures high.
At this point one more challenge is thrown at the young tiger. It is from the little yet energetic hero Ram. This hero is one of the best dancers in Tollywood now. He is putting in extra efforts like Bunny and is trying to introduce new dance moves to Telugu audience. In his upcoming film Endukante Premanta, Ram has done few sensational dances which would give any top dancer run for their money.
A slickly cut song teaser itself had many scintillating dance moves of Ram. He promises his fans a dance treat with this movie. It is high time for Tarak to realize the fact that his fans are going restless to see their matinee idol dancing like a live wire. Tarak, wake up before the competition gets tough and tougher.

Who cares @ 'Dammu' Reviews!?

Although critics and reviewers usually belittle mass films with poor ratings and adverse backbites, our Telugu audience always adored these kinds of flicks majority of times. When it comes to presence of big heroes like junior ntr or Ramcharan, obviously the success rate gets further brighter. Recent example of ‘Dammu’ throws more light on the strength of a Telugu mass masala film. In spite of disheartening reviews and divided mouth talk reported on first day, now fresh reports from overseas, Nizam area and few centers in Coastal Andhra are proving of ‘Dammu’ being set to play a long innings creating new industry records. One of our close US trade sources was happy to share that, many of the exhibitors in overseas are getting near to breakeven with in the first week and ‘Dammu’ might even offer them profits. This is good news. Coming to domestic market, we have heard of Dil Raju already added more theatres in Nizam area looking at the response from audience. As per our reports, same applies for theatres in Kakinada, Bhimavaram where housefuls have become quite common for ‘Dammu.’ So, Nandamuri Fans are flying their collars saying, ‘When it is junior ntr on the screen…who cares for reviews?’

Top Heroes @ Distancing From Audience?

A look at the recent audio releases and the films releasing makes you clear about one thing, films are made for fans. But experts say that there is a difference between fans and audiences. Here goes the story!
Filmmakers like Boyapati and Harish Shankar recently gave statements that they are making films keeping the taste of fans in view to match their expectations. Are these directors and their star heroes distancing from audiences with these statements is a big question now. If only Mahesh fans had watched 'Pokiri' and 'Dookudu', both could not garner huge collections. 'Businessman' failed to recreate magic, because the film is intended only for fans. 'Magadheera' became a big hit only due to the viewership of all heroes' fans but not just mega-fans. Irrespective of the mega-craze, 'Racha' is able to collect its investment back, but didn't turn up a trend setter.
Critics say that directors should change their mindsets to make movies for 'audience' but not just for 'fans'. With their fan-loving movies, industry will get work but it cannot get a page for itself in history. Till date, 2012 has not seen a proper movie that is loved by all sections of audiences. Let us see if any director could come up with a movie that everyone loves to watch!

Pawanism @ The Second Religion Of Tollywood

The first religion of Tollywood is none other than 'cinema'. Now, there is a serious rise of the followers of this particular theme called 'Pawanism', making it the second largest religion of cine-folks.
From directors to actors to producers who worked with Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, it has become a habit to describe their hero as a God. If a couple of producers and directors say this, we can write off it as an exaggeration. What if, the whole of Tollywood's folks keep chanting the word 'Pawan', making 'Pawanism' the second religion of Telugu Cinema Industry. 'It is not because of his stardom, but due to his attitude and abnormal human qualities', felt a film critic. People like Raviteja and Ram rose to stardom only after imitating Pawan Kalyan in their initial movies. Others like Ganesh, Harish Shankar and Karunakaran got their break only after associating with him and hence they show that extreme courtesy. Top directors like Rajamouli, Sreenu Vytla and Trivikram die to make movies with Pawan, because of his extreme down to earth nature.
Even audiences love Pawan Kalyan from the bottom of their heart and that is the reason for his flop movies to recover the full investment. They say it is difficult to peel out the reasons behind this craze for Pawan, but his positive energy and helping nature are one of the facts that create vibrations in the hearts of his fans. Interestingly, this 'Pawanism' has fans of many heroes as its followers.

Mahesh Fans @ turn Timid for 'Dammu'

Big hits of ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Businessman’ have put mahesh babu in best forms of his career so far. Analysts feel that, this could be the life turning phase for Prince which could take him to stardom of a Super Star like his dad. But, the must and should clause is his right selection of stories and directors.
Meanwhile, we have emotionally specialized director Srikant Addala and wonderful producer Dil Raju teaming with Mahesh for ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ which has got enough reasons to become the biggest blockbuster and in parallel will be Sukumar’s untitled flick.
Then starts the problem which is teasing Fans of Mahesh is about ‘Ruler’ in the direction of Boyapati Srinu. Ever since the song of ‘Ruler’ became popular from ‘Dammu,’ soon this Mahesh’s ‘Ruler’ project started to hit the headlines on the banner of producer Burugupalli Siva Rama Krishna. Looking at the drawbacks in script and in-convincing narration of Boayapti for ‘Dammu,’ now many of Prince Fans turned timid, expressing doubts on the exact feasibility of ‘Ruler.’ For sure, one can’t visualize mahesh babu in a character like NTR in ‘Dammu’ or Balayya in ‘Simha’ which are of course the strong zones for Boyapati. Well, time will decide whether mahesh babu will go for it or not?

Gabbar Singh @ Song Mismatches Hype!?

Most of the times, viewers' thoughts are reversed when it comes to the visualization of songs in big budgeted projects. It is now felt that it is the same thing happening with Powerstar's upcoming project.
Our creative film makers generally prefer an outdoor location for a song that we actually feel like they'll shoot indoor or in Telugu nativity. One of the top hits of 'Gabbar Singh' album is experiencing this 'nativity' shuffle. Pilla Pilla' song from GS remains to be the height of mass for its saucy lyrics and foot tapping 'dappu' beats. Director Harish Shankar opted to film this song in Europe locales, rather doing it in a studio amidst native village back drop. Critics are feeling that a song with high expectations and poor filming will leave negative impact on audiences.
However, fans are ruling out this theory as Pawan Kalyan is famous for filming mass songs in foreign locales. They are asking to check 'Hey pill ne peru lovely..' song from Tammudu to know the mass power of their hero in foreign backdrop. Wait and see whether GS song holds expectations are not!

RamCharan @ Congratulates Jr NTR for Dammu!

Young tiger Jr NTR’s high voltage action entertainer Damu was released worldwide on yesterday and the movie got good response.Jr NTR is getting the good compliments from the critics and other stars for his electrifying performance in the film Dammu. Now the news is that Mega Power star Ram Charan also congratulated Jr NTR for his performance. Ram Charan wrote on Twitter "Wishin my friends tarak and trisha.. All the best!!! I heard tarak’s performance was intense. GRT goin guys.." We all know that Ram Charan and Jr NTR are good friends in real life also and recently Cherry was also attended the launch of Jr.NTR’s Baadshah movie.

Zarine Khan @ bags ‘Partner 2’

It’s officially confirmed that Bollywood actor Zarine Khan who marked her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in ‘Veer’ would now again share screen space with him for David Dhawan’s comedy flick ‘Partner 2’ that would be a sequel to his 2007 hit. While the original featured Salman, Govinda, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif, the sequel would only see the two male leads reprising the role as Zarine and Kingfisher model Angela Johnson have replaced the two female leads in upcoming sequel. Initially, Dhawan was keen to cast Katrina as one of female lead for the film but as she was pretty busy with her impending projects lying in her kitty, she decline the offer. The film is certainly going to roll by 2013 as Salman is busy shooting for his home production ‘Dabangg 2’ as well as Zarine is even shooting for her first Tamil flick ‘Karikalan’ opposite superstar Vikram.

D fears for @ Gabbar Singh!

Films having high expectations can rest assured of a grand opening, but most of the times they would turn dangerous for the film's prospects at box office. A film with high expectations should meet those to survive at the box office. Or else it would be rejected right on day 1. Even average content won't help the film to stay afloat!
NTR's Dammu is a prime example for over hype turning into the biggest disadvantage for the movie. This film was overly hyped by the makers and they didn't try to lower the expectations at all. Audiences and fans expected this film to be a great visual treat, but Dammu was average at best. Had this film released with a minimum expectations, the response would have been different.
Racha was released amidst nil expectations and turned out to be an average fare. Audiences were more than pleased with that and made the film a blockbuster. The next big release Gabbar Singh is riding on high expectations like Dammu. So the film should live up to the expectations to satisfy the viewers. Or else Gabbar too will have to suffer the consequences of over hype.

Frustrated @ Young actor takes huge risk

Sharwanand is one of the very few actors that are immensely talented. Despite having bundles of talent and doing meaningful movies, Sharwanand is still struggling to get his foothold in the industry. Films like Prasthanam and Andari Bandhuvaya won him laurels, but failed to click at the box office. Hence, producers aren't showing much interest in casting him as the lead.
Sharwanand failed to prove himself as a crowd puller and out of this frustration, the actor took a big decision. He is turning a producer this year. He is launching his production house Sharvaa Arts very soon. Sharwanand will be producing films that suit his taste. He believes that films like Prasthanam and Andari Bandhuvaya failed due to proper promotion from the producers.
With Journey success he learnt a lesson that publicity can take a good movie to the audiences and eventually be successful. So Sharwanand decided to invest in films and wants to promote himself. This is a huge risk that any actor could take, that too when the chips are down. Let's hope Sharwa's risk pays off and earn him rich dividends.
