Asin-Priyanka-Deepika @ in race for 2 States

2 States movie is in news again. Imran Khan will be playing the lead role in this film which is inspired from Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name. Sajidd Nadiadwala is planning to make this film and currently the search is on for a suitable heroine.
If the buzz is to be believed, Asin, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone are in race to bag 2 States film. All the three have good relation with Sajid and are likely to bag the offer. The film is about the love story between Punjabi boy and South Indian girl.
So Asin and Deepika would be in contention as they suit the role due to their southern roots. Asin has vast experience of doing more south films and hence she might be leading the race. Watch out for official confirmation on this. 

Why Priyanka @ silent on RamCharan's Zanjeer?

Ram Charan 70-crore Bollywood project 'Zanjeer' has become point of discussion everywhere. Even though the unit already wrapped up the first schedule, there is still confusion on who is playing Cherry's love interest in the film. Did Priyanka Chopra really sign the film? If so, why she has been keeping mum?
Piggy Chops has the habit of updating everything about her films and future commitments on the social networking site. But, she has never written a single word about Zanjeer remake till date and spoke nothing about it in any of her interviews.
Media took into account the statement given by Apoorva Lakhia (director of 'Zanjeer' remake) in an interview that Priyanka has given nod for the project. Except that, there is not an official announcement from the film unit confirming Priyanka's presence in the film till now. The confusion over the female lead in this much awaited film will continue till the time 2nd schedule of the film kickstarts, as the combination scenes of Hero & Heroine will be shot then. Till then, let's not come to any conclusion!

RamCharan - Priyanka @ Hot Lip-Locks in Zanjeer

By roping in all those steaming hot beauties in his upcoming movies, Mega Powerstar is raising expectations. The big question is, will his childhood-love accept him to do those raunchy scenes.
For now, Charan is taking break from all movies and is expected to join Zanjeer team after his marriage immediately. The first scenes that are going to be shot are the intimate and hot bedroom moves between Charan and sizzling heroine Priyanka Chopra. Touted as one of the best lips to kiss by many men's magazines, this hot beauty is all ready to lend them to Charan now. However, if our young hero locks those pouted lips with his manly aperture or not is the doubt. Generally one's wife may not allow doing such acts immediately after tying the knot. 
Cine observers are writing off these rumours, as Upasna too hails from a rich family and can understand the hairline difference between on-screen acts and real acts. With a lot of culture contrast between Hindi and Telugu circuits, Upasna may allow Charan to do those Zanjeer-Kisses, understanding the need of audience!

RamCharan @ is ready to do that for Priyanka!!

On Wednesday morning Priyanka Chopra was signed to play the lead role in the new-age version of Zanjeer to be directed by Apoorva Lakhia. According to sources from the project, Priyanka's role would be a far cry from Jaya Bhaduri's chakku-churee walee in the original Zanjeer.
A source close to director said "Priyanka will play a woman of today.She will be cast as a US-returned owner of a cafe. Though she will be dressed most glamorously she won't be doing any songs or item numbers". Priyanka has been paid 6 crores for both the Telugu and Hindi versions of Zanjeer.
The source added that RamCharan and Priyanka already have been in talks to get familiar with each other. He said "Charan has promised to help Priyanka with her Telugu if she promises to help him with his Hindi". Let us hope Upasana watching all this, she has to be careful here not to become another Gowri Khan, who is struggling to separate his husband from Priyana. What say folks?

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been declared the most influential Indian on the social media site in a survey.
According to a survey by Pinstorm India, Priyanka holds number one position, while Shashi Tharoor is on number two and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on three.
The list consists of 100 people ranging from Aamir Khan to Salman Khan to Taran Adarsh and may more.
Priyanka also enjoys one of the highest number of followers on twitter - she has 2228363 followers, which is is more than Sachin Tendulkar's.
Meanwhile, the actress is working round the clock for "Krissh 3", Kunal Kohli's "Teri Meri Kahaani" and her endorsement commitments.

Parineeti Chopra @ I would Never compete with PC!

B’town’s newbie actor Parineeti Chopra has become a popular face pretty soon and has gathered a huge fan following after her short yet sweet act in YRF’s ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’. Parineeti is now gearing up with her first solo release ‘Ishaqzaade’ opposite Boney Kapoor’s son Arjun Kapoor. She was lately in news for bagging another YRF project opposite Shahid Kapoor.
Conversely, Parineeti’s is grounded and relies on her cousin sister, actor Priyanka Chopra’s advice before signing any projects. Parineeti states ‘Though she is busy actor today, she still manages time for me and gives me suggestions. Parineeti also spoke on brushing aside rumors of competition with Priyanka by adding ‘Priyanka is a superstar and I have just started now. I can never think of competition with her. Since, childhood we are close to each other.’
Parineeti has swept all the major awards in debutant category at recent awards functions and is now awaiting for her solo release film that is about to hit the theatres by May 18.

Despite facing copyright trouble over the story from the original writers, the preparation to kick-start Ram Charan Teja's Bollywood debut movie Zanjeer, the remake of the cult classic of the same name, is in brisk progress. Well, the latest news about the movie is that gorgeous Priyanka Chopra is being considered to play the female lead.
Grapevine is abuzz with the news that Priyanka Chopra has been approached by the makers of Zanjeer and she is likely to pair up with Ram Charan Teja in the forthcoming film. Though she has not given a green signal for the project yet, it is believed that she is very excited to play the role of a street performer played by Jaya Bachchan in the original. It is interesting to note that the actress has also been part of Amitabh Bachchan's other cult classic remakes like Don and Agneepath.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan Teja has revealed that Amitabh Bachchan is happy for the young actor and he will be meeting the Bollywood superstar to seek his blessings. However, the remake of Zanjeer is produced by Prakash Mehra, the director-producer of the original version, and directed by Apoorva Lakhia. It is expected to take off in April

Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra is now urging to work with actor Saif Ali Khan. Priyanka admitted this in her recent media interaction. The leggie beauty states ‘I am looking forward to work with him. Saif is a great actor and due to several reasons we missed on opportunities to work with each other. We were offered couple of projects two-three years back, but things could not work out as sometimes I did not have dates and some times he was unavailable.’
Piggy Chops did not even stop here; she even praised Saif’s lady love Kareena Kapoor with whom she had an ugly spat in the past. Speaking on Kareena, Priyanka revealed ‘Kareena is a wonderful actor. Priyanka Chopra will be sitting at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles along with the biggest names in music on Sunday evening. Currently in Berlin attending the Berlin Film Festival where Don 2 is being showcased, PC will make a cross-continental dash to LA today to attend the 48th Annual Grammy Awards. PC will arrive just in time to catch the main ceremony and will leave early the next day, heading to Darjeeling to shoot for “Barfee” with Ranbir Kapoor. Joining her at the event will be heavyweights Jimmy I ovine, the CEO of Inters cope Records, and Troy Carter, the owner of her management company Atom Factory. A source adds that Priyanka will also use this opportunity to meet executives from the music business and socialise with fellow actors and musicians. “She is recording her first international music album, so this is the biggest opportunity for her to get global exposure. PC is thrilled and wants to meet everyone from Adele to Kanye West!”Confirming this, Priyanka says, “When my international team invited me to attend, I did not want to miss the opportunity. I’m looking forward to spending some time with my music team, without work getting in the way. For once, I’m neither nominee, performer nor host, and it will be great to just enjoy the evening as it unfolds!”

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan left a journo in dismay with his quick-witted and clever reply for a question.Hrithik and Katrina Kaif hot smooch in Zindagi Na milegi Dobara has become quite an interesting subject for media since the movie got released.


On a recent press meet about his new film Agneepath, a journalist chose to ask Hrithik Roshan about kissing scenes with Priyanka Chopra in Angeepath.Hrithik turned down with an immediate reply that there were no such scenes.But only after the enthusiastic journalist insisted on reply for the same question, Hrithik Roshan gave a strong satire saying " If you think any of those scenes are kissing scenes, you don't know how to kiss! Come on stage, and I'll teach you how it's done!".
Earlier, Hrithik used to rage over journalists when asked dumb and meaningless questions, but now things seems to be changed from his side.Hrithik's spontaneous and witty remarks made the people around laugh heartily except the one who raised the question.

Shahid Kapoor @ Saves Priyanka Chopra from mob!!!

Shooting amidst a huge crowd is never an easy task! While shooting a song for their upcoming movie Teri Meri Kahaani (tentatively titled), thousands of people gathered to catch a glimpse of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.
The shooting was taking place at Aurangabad Fort and about 40 thousand tourists were present on that day! Director Kunal Kohli himself confessed that it was difficult to get the crowd out of the frame! A couple of men in the crowd even tried to get inside the frame forcefully, but were handled by the security personnel!


Buzz is that the crowd was getting really unruly and some of them tried to come close to Priyanka Chopra. That is when Shahid Kapoor came to her rescue and made sure no one touched her and took her aside!
And after this incident, the rumor mill is generating gossips that Shahid Kapoor is still possessive about Priyanka Chopra; and that PC, too, is still inclined towards Shasha!
And while witnesses say there was a stampede-like situation at the shoot, Kunal Kohli said that though there was a huge crowd, the shooting staff had the support of the local policemen and their own personal security!
So, will this incident on the sets of Teri Meri Kahaani add a new page to Shahid and Priyanka’s kahaani? Let’s see!

DON2 Record Breaking @ 217 Crs Collections All Over World!!

The King is back and how!!! Shah Rukh Khan’s recently released film ‘Don 2’ has broken many records of sorts and has apparently crossed Rs. 200 crore benchmark in overall collections since its release. If reports are to be believed the film has garnered a whopping Rs. 217 crores as its net collections from both Indian and overseas market. The film has beaten the earlier overseas records set by films like ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, ‘Bodyguard’ which released and raked in moolah in international markets last year.


Apart from that this SRK starrer film has even broken the record which was set by Shah Rukh himself. His film ‘My Name is Khan’ that was a huge international hit had set records in terms of box office collections and ‘Don 2’ has broken that benchmark as well. Though the film has done reasonably well in India but its overseas record are something that will make everyone sit back and notice the charm of the global star SRK.

Will 'Don 2' turn into a superhit now?

It was predicted in this column last week that 'Don 2' would not just comfortably cross the 100 crore mark, it would end up doing so in two weeks flat. Well, if the progress that this Shahrukh Khan starrer has shown over the weekdays as well as the second weekend is any indication, the feat is now pretty much round the corner as a result of which a HIT tag is already on with chances of a SUPERHIT on the anvil.
In just the Hindi version, 'Don 2' has netted over 71 crores which is a huge total by all means, especially if one considers the negativity that was surrounding Shahrukh Khan and as a result of which the opening Friday was definitely impacted. However as is always the case with good movies, critic reviews didn't harm 'Don 2', what with good word of mouth coming into play and allowing the film to stay very stable right through the weekdays as well. Though detractors just hoped that there may be a crash round the corner, none of that happened as the film marched towards a healthy total.


By end of first week even the staunchest of anti-SRK brigade had to give up and the talks started around 'how 'Don 2' should have done more than it eventually did'. Now such expectations are always subjective and if one looks at this film as a standalone product, it has pretty much managed the kind of business that it would have hoped for during the conceptualisation phase itself.
Not quite a quintessential Shahrukh Khan affair that would have got family audience in hordes to see him do all the 'naach gaana' and woo his heroines, 'Don 2' was always meant to be a multiplex centric film and it is credible that it has not just done quite well there but also ended up doing decent business at the single screens as well. With the second weekend getting fantastic collections of over 18 crores, the film has now already hit the 90 crore mark and should end up touching 100 crore in two weeks flat.
Since 'Players' is the only new major release till 'Agneepath' arrives on 26th January, both these action thrillers would make the best use of screen space made available for them in the multiplexes for weeks at stretch.

Priyanka Chopra @ Shuns the pressure!!

Dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra has been working round the clock at a neck break speed. From her back to back films to her debut music album, everything has kept her busy and pre occupied. Many stars complaint and exclaim that they seldom get any time to spend with their family. But Priyanka is certainly from a different league. Priyanka in recent past had vouched that she is a workaholic and doesn’t ever gets tired of working as she loves her work and can’t get enough of it. Priyanka Chopra @ is the Cause for Chaos!!

There has been much hullabaloo over Shah Rukh Khan’s talked about promotional visit for ‘Don 2’ to Patna which was earlier cancelled but was rescheduled on the star’s insistence. While last time it was Shah Rukh’s presence that created a chaos, this time around it was his on screen lady love Priyanka Chopra who was the reason behind the confusion on trip.

She decided to board SRK’s charter flight at the last moment first to surprise her ‘Don’ and secondly to visit the town where she has her family roots. Priyanka’s mother’s family resides there, hence she has some fond memories of the place and she didn’t want to miss the opportunity. However her decision became a cause for the high voltage confusion as there were too many untimely arrangements that had to take place.
There was a lot of chaos at Lucknow airport as there was frenzy amongst the people when the news of her arrival came. In her justification, Priyanka quoted “Patna is my city. My mother's family lives here. I just had to come.”

Don 2 Opens on a Positive Note!!

The King is back! The long wait is over for the fans of Bollywood Baadhshah Shahrukh Khan. His latest film Don 2 is opened to packed houses in all territories and carries unanimous positive talk across. The previews held in UAE and UK gave thumbs-up to the movie. The film has wonderful performances from Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Om Puri and of course from Shahrukh Khan. He strikes back with vengeance this time, says the buzz. The action sequences of the film are excellent. The chasing scene between Shahrukh and Priyanka is said to be the highlight of the film.

The trade pundits are predicting that Don 2 will collect Rs 55 crore in its opening weekend. Over all the film have the chances to become the highest grosser of Bollywood only next to 3 Idiots. The direction by Farhan Akhtar is top notch. However, music of the film could have been better. Let’s hope Shahrukh continues the chase for the records to the next level with this film.
