Story:
The film has a been-there seen-that story of an Indian RAW Agent who is on a mission to crack a code that leads to a nuclear attack on the country’s capital New Dehli. A few betrayals, loopholes, and finally, Agent Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) manages to diffuse the bomb with Iram Parveen Bilal’s (Kareena Kapoor) help.
Analysis:
'Agent Vinod’ starts on a promising note in Afghanistan where a Vinod is trapped by at a Lashkar hideout. He along with his team member Rajan Gandhi (Ravi Kissen) find a way out of it with bullet firing and bombings. The movie has traces of the Bond series, Raghavan’s ‘Ek Hasina Thi’, Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Dus’ and Mani Shankars’ ’16 December’. The film has a few moments that are really good and you want them to stay but the graph isn’t stable and has its ups and downs. The film also had a number of loopholes, with unexplained situations, wasted actors and so on.
Performances:
Saif Ali Khan is his usual self in the film not too good, not too bad. His dialogue delivery entertains but then again in parts. Kareena Kapoor could not play her part confidently as we have seen her playing ‘Geet’ from ‘Jab We Met’ or ‘Naina’ from ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’. She was really out of her comfort zone and we could see that. Though, there were moments when she was good. Also, in her mujra song, she was sweet rather than seductive that she was meant to be. Ram Kapoor played his cameo really well and so did Gulshan Grover and Prem Chopra. Adil Hussain was impressive as the bad guy. Maryam Zakaria and Malika Haydon were decent in their item numbers.
Technicalities:
Director Raghavan puts in the tried and tested Bollywood formula and that is where he totally spoils it. The film drags a lot. A few camera angles were interesting and picturization of a few scenes steals the show. Cinematography is like most bond movies but is good. Pritam’s music is average and Mika’s ‘Pyaar Ki Pungi’ is the best. Bebo’s mujra is strictly okay. Saif and Bebo’s chemistry though makes it a good watch. A few dialogues too are entertaining and the climax is pretty much predictable.
Plus points: Few camera angles, a few dialogues, Saif and Bebo’s chemistry and ofcourse, Ram Kapoor (you can practically watch the movie for him)
Minus Points: stretched, clichéd

Story:
Sid (R. Madhavan), a divorcee himself facilitates divorces. He breaks painful and regretted relationships. He stumbles upon Sonali (Bipasha Basu) who thinks that divorces give you another chance of getting out of an unwanted relationship and finding your true soul-mate. What’s next? The two join hands and become ‘Jodi Breakers’.
Now, the expected twist is that the two will fall in love but there is another twist that for his personal interest Sid breaks a Jodi that was that was not was not meant to be separated.
Analysis:
Bipasha and Madhavan do make an unusual Jodi and the concept of the film too was unusual but the screenplay and some un-required elements added to it steal the essence and the movie remains to be just an average one.
Performances:
R Madhavan sure can act but he thinks of himself as Shah Rukh Khan, just a little bit of modesty added, and he can sure go a long way. Also, he has to do something with his loks and styling. Bipasha Basu was extremely sweet which did not really suit her. Though she looked extremely stylish, her performance was not much impactful. Omi Vaidya’s track was not required and was detterent in the flow of the film. He was his usual self and at times irritating. Milind Soman and Dippannita Sharma portrayed class and act well. Mrinalini Sharma can’t act. She was pretty irritating too. Helen was a pleasant addition though her baritone in some serious scene was a little amusing. Tarana as Madhavan’s friend was good and the rest of the supporting cast was decent.
Technicalities:
As the basic script was good enough for the film to be called a good entertainer, the director lost it completely at the screenplay. Some scenes added were only seemed made-up and an afterthought. The cinematography made Greece look extremely beautiful. The music is quite hummable and soothing. Few dialogues and camera angles were interesting, but overall the film remains to be an average entertainer and just a one time watch.

Story:
The film revolves around two central characters Rahul (Imran Khan) and Riana (Kareena Kapoor). Rahul is jobless and is basically tired of his oh-so-ordinary and not-so-happening life. One fine night he meets a full of life hair stylist Riana who is completely opposite to him. They get drunk and spend the night roaming around the city. The next day they discover that while in high spirits they get hitched to each other and decide to break the unannounced marriage. But the next 14 days of their life changes them forever and that’s what the whole film is all about.
Analysis:
At first the film would appear like the regular rom com that have flooded Bollywood in past so many years but allow us to tell you that the film stands out in the league. The film has a soul that will sweep you off your feet and touch your heart at the same time. Director Shakun Batra has done the job of helming the film with ease. He knows what he is doing and the confidence just perfectly reflects in the film.
Performances:
Though Kareena and Imran’s pairing was touted to be odd but yet they are successful in winning your hearts as an onscreen couple. Kareena’s vivacious character reminds you of her bubbly character as ‘Geet’ in ‘Jab we Met’ and in this one too she will leave you in awe of her. Imran as a geeky character too has performed decently well and with this flick he has proved that there’s more to him than what meets the eye.
Technicalities: Music by Amit Trivedi is just soothing and enjoyable. It stays with you even after the film is over and just provides the right amount of drama at regular intervals. The title track and ‘Aunty ji’ are the peppy number which gives you some foot tapping moments. And then there are soft numbers like Gubbare Gubbare and Aahatein that just touches your hearts and souls.
All in all the film is a sweet flick and a perfect treat to shower yourself and your loved ones on this Valentine. Go out and have a good time with ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ as this one is too sweet to be missed.
