Is Mahesh Bigger Than PawanKalyan

Film makers running for release of their movies in November and December are making every attempt to cash upon the success of Dookudu which re-approved that Telugu films have a very big market compared to other Regional or National flicks. One man who seems to have been insulated from this Dookudu effect is pawan kalyan and same is his Panjaa.
Report from overseas market is, Panjaa rights are sold to a popular distribution house in USA for below Rs.3 Crores which is low compared to the new potential shown by Mahesh Babu. Yes, on the other side Businessman is reported to have gone for something nearly Rs.5 Crores. Effect of Dookudu collecting Rs.10 Crores in overseas market was obviously visible on Businessman while pawan kalyan equally charismatic as Mahesh but running on a flop track from long time did not bother the distributors. If ever Panjaa gets a positive release talk, these distributors are to strike a goldmine that will be bigger than Mahesh Babu.

Businessman unit wili fly to Greece and Venice for songs shoot from November 13th.

Why Mahesh Babu Is Silent From 19 Oct?

There was a time when Mahesh Babu was known as the reclusive star who preferred less interaction with media. However, with changing times, he understood the needs of interaction and within no time, he also got into social networking sites and started sharing his thoughts.

However, it is heard that Mahesh has gone silent since October 19th. This is as per his fans who follow him on Twitter. There is no news about his ongoing project ‘The Businessman’ on it. Many are wondering if Mahesh Babu is very busy with the project and totally immersed in making ‘The Businessman’ another success.
The talk from his fans is “We know our prince is working hard to make his next film also a big success. But still he can give updates on twitter. As fans, we are waiting eagerly to hear from him and are all anxious on how the film is progressing.” The last tweet that Mahesh mentioned was thanking the 14 Reels banner for ‘Dookudu’. After that no news.

The Businessman in 4 languages ?

Prince Mahesh Babu’s latest blockbuster Dookudu has become such a tremendous success that there is a keen interest in Mahesh Babu in the south Indian film circuit. His upcoming venture with Puri Jagannath, which has been titled ‘Businessman’, has been surrounded by a lot of buzz and expectations.
The news we are hearing is that ‘Businessman’ will reportedly have a simultaneous release in 4 languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. This surely is great news for our Telugu Film Industry as we have so far been largely unsuccessful in dominating other film circuits.
Businessman has recently completed the shooting of the climax block in Goa and the unit will head to some foreign locations to film the songs. The movie is on track for a January 11th 2012 release. Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine for this project and Thaman has scored the music. The movie is being produced on R.R.Movie Makers

Mahesh film @ Biggest Grosser in the Country

Superstar Mahesh Babu is planning to expand his market with his upcoming flick 'The Businessman'. Till now, Mahesh Babu's strong holds are his market in the state (AP) and in Overseas. Even most of the collections of his recent Blockbuster 'Dookudu' were from these two regions. Now, he has decided to improve his business range by focusing on other regions too.

The dubbed versions of Mahesh's 'The Businessman' will be releasing in Tamil and Malayalam languages simultaneously along with Telugu version on 11th of January, 2012. If sources are to be believed, Mahesh is working on the possibilities to debut in Bollywood with this film.
According to the market experts, If only the Telugu version of 'Dookudu' could collect a woofing Rs 100 crores, then what would be the case if Mahesh's film releases in 3-4 languages. If everything shapes up as per plan, Mahesh's films are sure to stand on the top of the list of 'Biggest Grossers in the Country'. Let's hope Mahesh achieves it!!!

Pawan Kalyan Fans Unhappy with Panjaa

Till Yesterday, the fans of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan were extremely happy with the way 'Panjaa' producers have been promoting the film. But things took a drastic change after the release of the press note by producers about the postponement of the audio launch.
Earlier, the makers have planned the audio launch in a grand gala event at Gachchibowli Indoor stadium on November 13th. Now, the event has been changed to Nov 19th as Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja's mother passed away recently. Though the comman man could easily understand the situation which prompted to postpone the event, hardcore fans of Pawan Kalyan are miffed with the producers.Apparently, there is always huge hype around everything which has a connection to Pawan Kalyan. In most times, it works in the favour of film but sometimes it has adverse effects. Let's hope that Mega fans will co-operate with the producers to make audio launch and film a huge success!!!

Mogudu Movie Review

Movie : MOGUDU
Rating: 2.5/5
Cast : Gopichand, Rajendra Prasad, Taapsee, Shraddha Das, Roja, Naresh, Raghava, Venu Madhav, Harshavardhan, Pragathi, Gitanjali and others
Directed by : Krishna Vamsi
Produced by : Nallamalapu Bujji
Banner : Lakshmi Narasimha Productions
Music : Babu Shankar
Release Date : 2011-11-04
Story:
Ram Prasad alias Bujji (Gopi Chand) is the son of Anjaneya Prasad (Rajendra Prasad), a rich man and social activist. Prasad wants his son Bujji to get married and settle in life. After few failed attempts to find a bride, Bujji falls in love with RajaRajeshwari alias Raji (Taapsee) in first look. Raji is the daughter of Chamundeswari, a powerful

political leader (Roja). Both the families are happy for the couple and they get married in a grand manner. Small issue rises when they are about to send Raji with Bujji. That turns into an ugly brawl and the couple gets separated then and there. What happens next is the rest of the story.

Performances:
Gopi Chand is good in his elements. His character is different from his regular roles. His mass fans will be disappointed to see him an in a very soft role. Taapsee tried to prove herself as a good actress and it is certainly her best portrayal till date. However, dubbing on her own without knowing the language isn’t a good ploy. At times she hammed a bit and failed to give right expressions in few scenes. She sizzled on the glamour front.

Shradha Das added the necessary spice. She is okay in her role. Rajendra Prasad is good when his character is soft and humble. But his characterization is unconvincing in the second half where it behaves very odd and immature. Roja is good and this character is tailor made for her. Naresh is fine. Venu Madhav is average. All others did well within their limitations.

Highlights:
  • Taapsee and Shraddha Das
  • Music
  • Songs picturization
  • Technical values
Drawbacks:
  • Poor screenplay
  • Second half
  • Extremities of unwanted emotions
  • Inconsistent etching of characters
  • Predictability
  • Lack of depth in crucial scenes
Analysis:
Krishna Vamsi did well in building up the story. There are few ‘overtone’ scenes which seemed bad in taste, but on a whole the flow is neat until interval point. During the mid break, the film changes color and Krishna Vamsi brought that on to the screen in a convincing manner. He has brilliantly shown how small ego clashes lead to big fights in marriages.

The overall feel at the interval time will be positive and raises hopes over the next hour. But Krishna Vamsi found it tough to change the mood of the film all of a sudden. He faltered a bit and the confusions in the characters and their behavior is clearly visible. The movie changes track when it lands in Mauritius. Despite being funny at times, the whole situation looks forced and unconvincing. The last act in the film was dealt pretty badly. Although that is the only conclusion, he could give to this story, Krishna Vamsi pumped in too much drama and the characters behave in a weird fashion that they get on audience nerves. Mogudu is sheer disappointment on a whole. Despite preaching family values it won’t appeal to family audiences too.
Finally: Not the best work of Krishna Vamsi!!

Real test for Mahesh Babu Stamina!!!

Mahesh Babu proved his crowd pulling capabilities with Dookudu movie which collected over 25 crores share in one week itself. Prince fans say that this is their hero's stamina and other heroes fans say that a hero's stamina cannot be estimated with onetime feat! They have a strong point to make as Mahesh didn't have a single opening week record until Dookudu.

Even his Khaleja which was released just a year ago couldn't sustain the Robo heat, despite it being Mahesh's film after a gap of three years. So, Mega or Nandamuri fans say that it is too early to speak about Mahesh Babu's stamina. They are waiting to see how his next film fares amidst high competition.

Pawan Kalyan and Junior NTR proved their star power time and again by getting record openings for their films irrespective of talk and competition. Their fans say that certain factors helped Dookudu to become such a huge hit. They say that 'The Businessman' would be the real test for Mahesh Babu as it is releasing along with biggies like Bodyguard and Nippu. Also there is no such 'drought' of films for Telugu cine buffs which mattered the most for Dookudu's thunderous response. So, Mahesh will have to surpass or at least match his Dookudu feat with The Businessman to give a strong reply to critics and other hero fans.
