Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh come together for ‘Desi Boyz’, a movie which has been directed by Rohith Dhawan. The movie has released all over the world on the 25th. Let us see how it fares.
Story: Desi Boyz is about the lives of two desi boys living in the UK. Nick Mathur (John Abraham) and Jignesh Patel ( Akshay Kumar ) are faced with a host of economic and personal problems when they lose their jobs in the recession. Nick is engaged to Radhika (Deepika Padukone) while Jignesh Patel needs to take care of his orphaned nephew. Out of desperation, they start working as something that is a cross between a stripper and a male escort.
All hell breaks loose when their loved ones discover this act. What follows next is a story filled with desperate attempts by Nick and Jignesh Patel to win back their loved ones. Along the way, Jignesh also falls in love with his ex classmate Tanya (Chitrangada Singh)
Plus Points : The lead stars look good on screen. Deepika Padukone is especially hot. Dialogues are a major asset. The movie proceeds along at a fair pace in the first half. and is entertaining in parts. Cinematography is good. Music and background score provided by Preetam is an asset. Songs have been shot well. Sanjay Dutt’s cameo is good.
Minus Points: The movie has some mindless, outdated and cliched comedy. Many scenes in the movie will remind you of the movie ‘Hey Baby’. There is zero logic in many of the sequences that unfold in the movie. The characterization of the heroes is highly hypocritical in nature and is not believable. The concept of the actors turning into male escorts but refusing to sleep with their clients(because of values!!) is idiotic.
Rohit Dhawan’s direction leaves a lot to be desired.
There is also a lot of idealistic preaching in the movie, things which have been said over and over for a zillion times in Bollywood movies.
Finally: This is a movie that can only be watched if you leave your brain back home. The first half has some mildly enjoyable scenes. The second half is where everything goes for a toss. If you are a Deepika Padukone fan though, there are some ‘colourful moments’ in the film for you. Otherwise, Desi Boyz is best avoided

The actress claims that her Facebook and Gmail account has been hacked and also apologizes if anyone might got any false messages. Shruti is now contacting Facebook authorities to reset her account.

If reports are to believed, he is extracting the best out from NTR. This film will remind us of NTR and his power packed performance during the days of 'Simhadri'. Dammu is touted to be a complete commercial entertainer with a terrific storyline and a right blend of hillarious comedy and emotional quotient.

Ace Directors in Tollywood are raving about Dammu and NTR's performance in it. First it was Rajamouli to shower praises on director Boyapati for extracting the best tunes from music director Keeravani. "Tarak played 4 songs from "Dammu". Never heard such high energy songs from MM Keeravani before. Though it is too early to comment i am getting a feeling that Boyapati Garu is going to redefine MASS films with this one. All the best!!!," said Rajamouli few days back.
And now, Vamsi Paidipally who directed NTR in Brindavanam lauds NTR for his performance in the film. "Was at the shooting location of Dammu on friday. I'm thrilled to see one of Tarak's best performances ever. Dammu rocks," said Vamsi Paidipally.
Although NTR faced a big flop in the year 2011 with 'Shakti' and 'Oosaravelli' failed to live up to the expectations, he will be back with a bang given the way Dammu is shaping up. Wait till summer 2012 to have a blast!!!

Why No Oosaravelli 50 Days Function?

When ‘Dookudu’ was thumping its chest with massive collections at the box office, another film also attempted to give tough competition. This was ‘Oosaravelli’ and at one point, the box office experts felt that there is going to be a battle for collections between both films.

As Oosaravelli got above average talk, the makers wanted to make it a hit by projecting in the brightest possible light. They have also released some press notes with huge figures. But the truth was the film dropped down from 3rd week onwards and many theatres were also vacated.
Eventually, they stopped further promotion and they found that it will be hard to bluff people beyond a point. That is really good indeed. Finally, as Dookudu had huge 50 days function, even some NTR fans wanted to see Oosaravelli 50 days event. But the makers behaved intelligently and morally by keeping that idea away. With this, the respect of NTR and also RR makers was well protected.

Kajal at her best in Businessman

Dookudu records mania has nearly come to an end and now Mahesh Babu can focus on Businessman to create 'real' records like he did with Pokiri. Businessman is directed by Puri Jagannath and that adds fuel to the fire and fans could expect something special out of this duo.

Hope RGV is not jinxing it for Businessman as his track record is pretty bad when it comes to hyping a film. Leaving RGV, Pokiri and Dookudu aside, let's talk about the real assets of Businessman.
