Audio Review @ Panjaa – New age music

Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Panjaa’ is one of the most eagerly awaited movies of the year. There are tremendous expectations on the movie as Pawan’s new look has been causing quite a sensation. The audio album was launched last Saturday at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in a spectacular ceremony. Music has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Panjaa has been directed by noted Tamil director Vishnuvardhan. Let us check out the songs now.

1.Song: Panjaa
Artists: Yuvan Shankar Raja
Lyrics: Rama Jogayya Sastry

This is the title track of the movie and it just rocks. The song starts off beautifully with some nice techno music and Yuvan Shankar Raja does a great job with the vocals. The song carries incredible energy and it is extremely addictive.

Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are apt for the song. Yuvan’s music is top notch and carries some hints of the title track from Ajith’s Gambler (also composed by Yuvan). Music is dominated by heavy metal and synthesizer. Great track and definitely a chart buster.

2.Song: Ela Ela

Artists: Hari Charan, Shweta Pandit
Lyrics: Chandrabose

This is a soft duet that has a nice romantic feel to it. Hari Charan and Shweta Pandit render the song beautifully and the song is pleasant on the ears. Chandrabose’s lyrics are pretty decent and do the job. Yuvan’s music has great tempo and the

song has a very new age feel to it. This song takes some time to get to you, but once it does, it will stay with you for a while. A good number. Looking forward to watching this song on screen.

3.Song: Veyira Cheyi Veyira
Artists: Saloni
Lyrics: Rama Jogayya Sastry

This is the item song of the movie.Saloni has rendered this number and sadly, she could not deliver. Songs of this kind need incredible energy and enthusiasm in the vocals along with a slightly flirtatious

feel and this is clearly missing in Saloni’s performance. Rama Jogayya Sastry’s lyrics are just about ok. Success of this song will depend on the picturization. Music is ok.

4.Song: Kshanam Kshanam
Artists: Shweta Pandit
Lyrics: Chandrabose

This is a short romantic bit song sung beautifully by Shweta Pandit. This song will probably

be used as a filler in key romantic scenes.Music is soft and romantic and is pleasant on the ears. Chandrabose’s lyrics are good.

5.Song:Anukoneledhugaa Kalakaanekadhugaa
Artists: Belly Raj, Priya Hemesh
Lyrics: Chandrabose

This is a romantic duet and the song starts off well. Priya Hemesh has done a good job but Belly Raj is just about ok with the vocals. It will be interesting to see this song on screen as it is quite

a challenge to get the picturization right for these kind of numbers. Yuvan’s music is pretty decent and relies heavily on modern instruments. Nothing spectacular about this song, but nothing bad either.

6. Song: Paparayudu
Artists: Pawan Kalyan, Brahmanandam ,Hemachandra ,Sathyam
Lyrics: Rama Jogayya Sastry

Without a doubt, this number will be quite an entertainer on screen. This is not a regular song per se. It has been composed keeping the video in mind and the lyrics are hilarious. Yuvan’s music is perfect for the song and the situation.

We can easily imagine Brahmi’s expressions and just the thought is enough to make you laugh. If picturized well, this song will become a crazy hit after the movie releases.

Verdict :

Pawan Kalyan has tried out a new look for this movie and the buzz in the industry is that ‘Panjaa’ is going to be very different from his earlier flicks. The audio album reflects this. Yuvan’s music is very different and modern. There are some pretty good numbers in this album. The title track ‘Panjaa’ absolutely rocks. ‘Ela Ela’ and ‘Paparayudu’ will be quite popular too. A better item number would have been a major asset. Do not expect a regular Pawan Kalyan style audio album this time. Listen to this album with an open mind and you will appreciate the music.

Director Krish Suggested ‘Panjaa’ Title

The makers of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Panjaa’ were in a fix initially about their movie’s title. Before and after the movie kicked off, they have considered several titles like ‘Shadow’, ‘Kaali’, ‘Power’ and so on. Just when the makers were planning to lock the title ‘Power’, director Krish (Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi) had a word or two with Pawan Kalyan and the makers. Krish is a very good associate of Shobu Yarlagadda and both already worked for ‘Vedam’. So Krish suggested a title ‘Panjaa’! As soon as the makers heard the name Panjaa, they thought that this title is powerful and apt to Pawan Kalyan’s image, and have immediately confirmed the same. Needless to expound, the response for the title 'Panja' was a killer.

Dookudu @ Collections Crosses 1 Billion Mark

Fresh trade reports say that Mahesh Babu’s Dookudu collections have crossed 1 billion – a never before landmark in Telugu cinema history. In fact, Dookudu collections worldwide amounted to 101 crores post the movie’s 50-day run at the box office. Dookudu released in 1,600 screens and 89 theatres in North America and across 21 countries including Canada, Botswana, Trinidad, South Africa, Netherlands and Finland for the first time ever. As a result, Dookudu overseas collections itself have registered a whopping price of 22.4 crores.

I love NTR dances @ Nisha Aggarwal

Nisha Aggarwal is the sister of popular heroine Kajal Aggarwal. Nisha tasted success with her first movie ‘Emaindi ee Vela’. Now, she is all set to hit the screens as the heroine in Solo. The actress is a good dancer and she says that she is a big fan of Young Tiger NTR’s dances. ” I am a good dancer too, so I hope I get a chance to showcase my dancing talent soon”, she says.
Nisha also enjoyed working with Prakash Raj. “I felt very nervous when I saw him for the first time, but he is a very nice person and he has encouraged me a lot. He has tremendous knowledge about cinema”, says Nisha.
Apart from her sister, Anushka is her favourite actress, says Nisha. She is currently working in the Tamil remake of ‘Emaindi ee Vela’ and a few Telugu projects are in the pipeline.

“Yes! I'm a certified Pawan Kalyan fan. And working with him was an experience I'll never forget. His fans truly love him and now I know why...” Sarah said.

Top Actress has a @ Special place for Balayya

Of all the Top League actors who acted in Sri Rama Rajyam, Nayantara has stolen the show with her terrific performance and walked away with most of the accolades. However, it wasn't a cakewalk for Naynatara to outshine some of the Legends in the Industry. A lot of effort has been put by her during the making of the film. She followed a strict vegetarian diet, stopped meeting friends and anyone who is not a member of Sri Rama Rajyam unit, visited temple everyday before coming to the location and partcipated in the shooting with utmost dedication and sincerity.

Nayan has a special place for Balayya who recommended her name to the makers for the role of Goddess Sita.
"Earlier, I worked with Balakrishna in Simha and he is the sole reason for me to be a part of a film like Sri Rama Rajyam. I'm grateful to him for having a lot of faith on me and believing that only I could do justice to the role of Sita. Even I couldn't imagine anyone other than him in the role of Lord Rama after watching Sri Rama Rajyam," said Nayantara.
The actress has a lot of good memories during the making and after the release of the film. Director Bapu has gifted a painting from Ramayana to Nayan, making it a one-of-a-kind gift that will keep memories forever.

Mahesh-RamCharan @ MultiStarer with Murugodoss

This is an interesting thing that has seen light today. As Dookudu-Magadheera turmoil is going on, Murugodoss seems to be cashing on that. He got an idea to make a multistarrer with the two stars of those films. That would indeed attract huge attention and also wipes out the tensions of fans as their stars go together in single film.
The genius director A R Murugadoss who came up with the film ‘7th Sense’ recently is reportedly planning for a new movie which might have Mahesh Babu and Ramcharan Tej.
It is known that recently, Charan stirred up few eyebrows with his comments that Tollywood lacks directors like Murugadoss. This didn’t go well with Nandamuri Balakrishna but the issue was cooled after Chiranjeevi intervened and diffused it with a statement about respecting Balayya’s seniority and wisdom. On the other hand, there is also the threat of dubbed films invasion which had affected Tollywood’s morale.
However, Murugadoss reportedly mentioned that Tamil or Telugu films don’t make a difference for him. Soon, he is gearing up to remake ‘7th Sense’ in Hindi but the cast and crew is yet to be revealed.

Can Panjaa beat Magadheera record?

Two and a half years passed by since Tollywood's biggest hit Magadheera was released and the record is still intact. None of the big hits have come close to it in collections. Dookudu managed to reach the second position but was left far behind of Magadheera in full run collections.

Although the producers bluff Mahesh fans with fake numbers, fact remains that Magadheera still holds the number one spot with 'huge' margin. Now all eyes are set on Pawan Kalyan Panjaa. This film is carrying very high expectations and Pawan Kalyan fans are eagerly waiting for it. Panjaa is likely to break records even with average content. Such is the craze now.
