Rating : 2.5/5

Director: Seetaramaraju
Producer: KK Radha Mohan
Music Director: Vasant

Allari Naresh is a very respected figure in the industry circles as he is known as a minimum guarantee hero. His films are made on low and medium budgets, and with a lot of comedy present, they generally rake in a decent amount of money. For this Dussehra, Allari Naresh entered the Box Office race with ‘Madatha Kaja’ and he has the gorgeous Sneha Ullal for company. Directed by debut director Seetha Rama Raju, the movie was touted as a complete comedy entertainer. Let us see how the movie fares.
What its about: Kalyan(Allari Naresh) is a police informer who operates in Vizag. He works for ‘dynamic’ officer Sai Kumar(Dharmavarapu). In the course of duty, he comes across Swapna(Sneha Ullal) and sparks fly. It is love at first sight for the hero. With the help of Sai Kumar and Kishore (Vennela Kishore), he hatches a series of plots and succeeds in earning her love.
Meanwhile, international don Nanda(Ashish Vidyardhi) entrusts his Hyderabad operations to his two associates JP(Jayaprakash Reddy) and KP(Ahuti Prasad). KP and JP try to spoil each other’s areas of operation out of rivalry and end up causing massive losses to Nanda. So Nanda plans to arrange a marriage alliance between JP’s son Ajay(Subba Raju) and Swapna, who happens to be KP’s daughter.
Kalyan is tasked with collecting intelligence on KP and JP by the Hyderabad Police and so he soon comes to know about Nanda’s plot .A series of kidnaps and double crosses later, he enters into KP’s house and all hell breaks loose. What happens to Swapna? Will Kalyan succeed in marrying her? And will Nanda be apprehended? This forms the rest of the story.
What is good: Allari Naresh is a master at essaying these kind of roles and Madatha Kaja is a cakewalk for him. He succeeds in bringing a few laughs and his energy lends a positive feel to the film.Sneha Ullal brings in a lot of oomph into the movie and she looks gorgeous on-screen.
Jaya Prakash Reddy is the star of the film. His dialogues and histrionics are a treat to watch. Ahuti Prasad is good with his Telangana slang.Dharmavarapu, Ali, Raghu Babu and others manage to do justice to their roles and they keep the comedy alive. The second half of the film proceeds at a lively pace and is easy to watch.
The song ‘Excuse me’ is a nice watch.
What is bad: The story is a heavily recycled Tollywood product and there is next to zero logic in many of the scenes. While that can normally be forgiven in an Allari Naresh film, it really is a bit too much here. The twists are highly predictable and Allari Naresh is better off doing spoofs than uttering punch dialogues.
The biggest disappointment is Sneha Ullal. If only her acting is half as good as her looks, she would be a much better actress. Her expressions are woody and her comic timing is way off balance. The first half tests the patience of the viewer sometimes.
While a few comedy scenes are good, many of the scenes appear forced and cliched. Subba Raju is wasted.
Technical Departments: The dialogues are stale and routine and that is a major drawback.A sharper dialogue and more wit would have done wonders for this film.Director Seeta Rama Raju makes his debut with this film and it shows. There is immaturity in the way the subject is handled. Screenplay goes for a toss in the first half and only marginally picks up in the second half.
Srivasanth’s music and background score are ok. Cinematography is good and editing is good enough for movies of this budget.
Verdict: Allari Naresh is known in the industry as a minimum guarantee hero but it might not work out this time as he has to deal with the blockbuster Dookudu on one hand and the impending release of Oosaravelli on the other hand. Between them, Oosaravelli and Dookudu will take up the lion’s share of viewers and theaters. An entertaining film filled with good humour and sharp wit might have survived this dual onslaught but not this stale offering. There is not much for the B and C center folks either. Madatha Kaja has a few decent laughs but there is a lot going against the movie than in favour of it.
Finally: Madatha Kaja is neither sweet nor sour. Watch it if you have nothing better to do.

Oosaravelli to beat Dookudu

Oosaravelli's first copy is ready and it is going for Censor on Friday or Saturday. The buzz over this film is very positive among the industry circles. They say that Oosaravelli is rich on content and has many surprises to shock the audience. Shock value of this film is so high that people expect it to be no less than a blockbuster.

Oosaravelli is said to be the best script in the recent past which doesn't have any deja vu feel to it. NTR Jr liked the script very much and didn't pressurize Surender to pump in unnecessary mass elements for the sake of satisfying his fans it seems. Oosaravelli is a director's film, say industry wallahs. Music composed by Devi Sri Prasad is already rocking the charts. There is Tamanna to add that spice of glamour.
On a whole, Oosaravelli is looking like a complete package which can outperform shallow Dookudu. It is just running because of Mahesh's star power and will eventually lose the heat if a tough competitor comes into the field. If Oosaravelli lives up to this pre release buzz and proves to be a solid entertainer, then Dookudu should pack things up!

RGV Counters Srinu Vaitla @ Twitter

He can be considered as the 'Godfather' for this generation directors. May be he has been running through some rough times at the moment. But that doesn't take any credit away from him who changed the Telugu film industry forever. Yeah, we are speaking about the one and only Ram Gopal Varma, who was once a great director and is now reduced to a publicity freak.

Even though RGV is down, he is never out. His spark and wit are still intact and if anyone tries to laugh at him, he will have to cry for the rest of his life. Recently, Srinu Vailta made fun of Ram Gopal Varma in the film Dookudu by showing his photograph and passing few jocular remarks.
RGV watched the film and praised Mahesh Babu's performance. He didn't speak a word about Srinu Vaitla but later came up with a tweet that indicates that 'Srinu Vaitla is flying'. 'Nela Meeda nilabadatledu, hit vachindani midisipadutunnadu' are the terms generally used to describe the people who behave like success got into their heads. RGV didn't mock at Vaitla directly but gave him a tight slap with a sarcastic tweet. Let's see if Vaitla counters this or just hide his face away from Varma forever.

Dookudu 2nd Week Nizam Theatres List @ Exclusive

Only Salman can do justice to role @ feels Mahesh

Asked for his opinion about who will best suit to be cast in the role of male lead if Dookudu is remade in Hindi, Mahesh Babu told a daily that only Salman Khan can do full justice to the role in Hindi.
The actor's endorsement of Salman Khan is followed by the general feeling among audience that Salman can pull off the role quite well, because of his unique style in easily being heroic and comic.
Well, Salman may definitely take Mahesh's recommendation as a compliment.  With Salman already having reprised a Mahesh role in the past (Wanted), you can expect him to give a serious consideration to Prince's statements.
Mahesh also said that he has never believed in records and figures.  Dookudu's runaway success has translated into astonishing figures, which are, to say the least, quite unbelievable for a Telugu cinema.

Jr NTR Oosaravelli records

Young Tiger NTR’s upcoming film Oosaravelli directed by Surender Reddy is gearing up for release on October 6. The makers are eyeing on huge openings and are planning to release the film with highest number of prints in NTR’s career.

According to our sources, the movie will release in over 200 screens in Nizam territory alone. The makers are also planning to release the movie in 100 screens in US. If this happens then Oosaravelli is the first film to have these many centres in US thus crossing Mahesh’s recent release Dookudu which was screened in 79 screens. In East Godavari the movie will be screened in 28 screens and it is heard that this figure may go up depending upon the film’s fate. The film has positive buzz in the industry and it is heard that NTR is very confident over the film’s success. He himself is taking active part in movie promotions. Looks like Tollywood is back to its good old days and will witness another super hit in the form of Oosaravelli.

Suriya's mind-blowing intro in '7th Sense'!!

One of the most talked about and much awaited movie of the season is '7th Sense' and now the clock is ticking for it to hit the screens. Meanwhile, inside reports reveal that the introduction scene of hero Suriya in the film would be one of its kind never experienced in Indian cinema before.

It is heard that the scene will have a simultaneous capture of China and Kancheepuram. Sources say huge money was spent on this particular scene as it had to do with graphics. And the arrival of Suriya amidst that backdrop will be another visual extravaganza, as per sources.
Suriya is essaying the role of a circus trapeze artist and also as a monk. He is pairing up with the seductive beauty Shruti Haasan who is essaying the role of a scientist. The film is directed by A R Murugadoss and music is by Harris Jayaraj. Let us wait to see what more surprises the film has to offer.

Chiru training to RamCharan

The age old saying goes 'Like Father, Like Son' and this is something very commonly found among the film families of Tollywood. Usually, the acting phenomenon passes from generation to generation and that's why we have the likes of Akkinenis, Nandamuris, Daggubatis, Konidelas etc..

Now, this comes with proper grooming and training. Currently, it is heard that Megastar Chiranjeevi has been taking few special coaching sessions to his son Ramcharan Tej. Apparently, Chiru was the emperor of Tollywood before he got into politics. Now, it is heard that he has all his eyes on Charan to take the legacy forward.
As a result, it is heard that Chiru has been grooming Charan on things like how he should behave during public functions, how to talk, how to deal with issues, how to behave on the sets, discipline towards acting etc. Only time will tell how much of all this has Charan taken from his father and implemented it.

'Dookudu' Report On NTR's Table

How much did ‘Dookudu’ collect in which area? Which area has it crossed the record of other films? All these details may not be available with hardcore fans of Mahesh Babu. Even ‘Dookudu’ s producers may not have these details. But NTR has them in full.

From the beginning, NTR is crazy about records. Even before he touched 20, he rubbed Chiranjeevi who ruled the industry from 20 years. After he wiped off all the records with ‘Simhadri’, NTR could not digest the fact that ‘Pokiri’ and ‘Magadheera’ created new records.

Since then, he is waiting desperately for a chance to beat the records of both the films. In this process, it is heard that he also got full information about the records of ‘Dookudu’. NTR fans reveal that looking at the first three days collection, NTR got worried. But with the last two days collections dropping, he is breathing a sigh of relief.
