Mahesh 'Dookudu' @ Preparing For 100 Days Bash!!

The biggest blockbuster of 2011 in Tollywood is gearing up for a big bash. We are talking about Dookudu and the film is on its way to touch 100 days. Starring prince Mahesh Babu along with the lovely smile beauty Samantha, the director was Srinu Vytla. It is heard that the 100 days function would be happening in January 2012 and most likely the venue would be in Vijayawada. On the other hand, Mahesh would be arriving with Businessman at that time.

Obviously Dhanush sang ‘Kolaveri Di’ and Tamanna danced with Beer Glass in her hand. Standing besides immersed deeply in drinking mood was heroine Poonam Bajwa in inebriated condition. Some how, a video clipping of this party came on Youtube and Tamil audience are enjoying the Bar Dance of Tamanna.

Shankar keen on directing @ Kamal Hassan!!

If the grapevine in Chennai is to be believed, Shankar may soon direct Kamal Hassan. (Soon may mean more than a year). The thing is that Linguswamy of Run and Bheema fame and the celebrated director, Shankar, have both narrated a story to Kamal. The actor has liked the story, is what some sections are saying. We hear the directors are keen to cast Kamal Haasan as their hero in this venture.
The project is touted to be in its initial stages. Lingusamy and Shankar had come together recently for the former's film 'Vettai's music release event. It is reported that Shankar has written a script. Director Lingusamy who came across this script seems to have liked it, according to reports, and has also got the green signal to direct the same.

Now both the directors' unanimous choice happens to be to book Kamal Haasan for the lead role, but the Universal Hero is busy with his upcoming magnum opus 'Viswaroopam.' Once this film is wrapped up the actor will set some time aside to hear the directors' out before deciding on his availability for this project, sources reveal.
Now if this materializes, the movie buffs of Tamil Nadu will get to experience one brilliant film, what with Lingusamy's fast-paced story telling, Shankar's elegance and as the icing on the cake Kamal's classic act! Watch this space for more.

Big Fight @ Mahesh vs Venkatesh vs Raviteja!!

What is common among the three most important Sankranthi releases - The Businessman, Bodyguard and Nippu? Well, the three films are action-romantic capers, although the elements of action and romance in the film are there in varying degrees. While PJ's film, that ostensibly adrenaline pot boiler will be high on action, the other two films are not too far behind in the element.
Starring Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh and Ravi Teja for whom bashing up the baddies is as much a cakewalk as it is for them to strike a romantic chord in the lady, these films, the combined budget of whom is said to touch the billion mark, are awaited by all sections of the audience. Their markets are not limited and they can woo the audience across A, B and C centers.

Directors Puri Jagannadh, Gopichand Malineni and Gunasekhar are this time giving us the much-needed relief by (hopefully) touching upon new themes. The Businessman, set against the mafia backdrop in Mumbai, is character-oriented. In rehashing an old story like Bodyguard (which was recently interpreted by a Bollywood film of the same name), the script-writers of Venky's film are definitely making a big-time attempt to surprise the audience. An interesting love story with twists and turns, Bodyguard is raising our eagerness by the day.
YVS Chowdhary has been speaking high about his production, Nippu. Gunasekhar has ceased to surprise us (despite the humongous sets in Arjun, Sainikudu and Varudu), but he may well amuse us with clean masala stuff.

Mahesh Babu To Set @ 1st Historical Record!!!

Mahesh Babu’s ‘Business Man’ is hitting screens on 11th of January much to the excitement of fans of both Mahesh and Puri. It is known that already Dookudu has set many records. Now Mahesh Babu is going to set a new ever known record in the history of Tollywood.

Plans are being made to release the film in almost all the theaters of AP at least for one day. Since it is not possible practically as Body Guard is releasing on 9th and it will have its own theatre occupancy, now the estimates are made that it is possible to occupy 80% of theatres in AP leaving 20% for Body Guard (turns 4 days old by then) and other films if any.
This is to lift the advantage of making maximum opening collection ever known

Pawan Kalyan @ Convinced with Gabbar Singh!!!

Power star Pawan Kalyan is convinced about the changes in the script for his under shoot movie Gabbar Singh. Reports say Pawan was initially not interested with the changes in the script since he wants to remake ‘Dabangg’ promptly. Nonetheless, director Harish Shankar has put things in a constructive way and convinced power star for the custom changes. But the true reason Pawan Kalyan was not interested about these changes was because Salman was able to lure the masses with his thumping performance in Hindi Dabangg. So Pawan wants to repeat the same dose in Telugu. However, Harish had something else in store!!!! Shruti Hassan is playing the female lead in this Gabbar Singh Telugu remake while the quest for ‘Munni Badnam’ girl for the Telugu version continues…

Lawrence Rebel attitude @ Troubling Prabhas!!

Choreographer turned director Lawrence is living up to his upcoming film's title and showing 'rebel'lious nature on the sets of Rebel, says the gossip winery. Lawrence's monarchism is troubling the schedules of Rebel that it has been already lagging behind the actual schedule.

Right from the day of launch, Lawrence has been throwing tantrums at Rebel producers and creating fuss over trivial issues says the gossip corners. Irked by the delayed shoots and dates being wasted, Anushka walked out of the film.
Even Prabhas lost his cool and started working on Varadhi movie, which is okayed at the eleventh hour. Prabhas is in a hurry to finish off two films before he takes up Rajamouli's film. Prabhas will have to give more than a year for Rajamouli's movie and therefore he is doing more movies prior to that. But Lawrence's attitude is troubling the Rebelstar that he isn't happy with the way his time is being wasted on Rebel.

Mega-Nandamuri Heros @ Flop Show!!

Mega family ruled the box office in 2008 and 2009 with Jalsa and Magadheera being the toppers for those respective years. Nandamuri family raced ahead in 2010 with Simha being the topper and Brindavanam and Adurs being the other winners. But in 2011, both these star families have tasted bitter results to the dismay of millions of fans.

Mahesh Babu's Dookudu walked away with laurels this year and sad thing is none of the Mega or Nandamuri heroes have succeeded. Three films from mega heroes were released and all of them ended up in losses. Pawan Kalyan tasted huge disasters with Panjaa and Teen Maar. Allu Arjun experienced a flop with Badrinath.
Four films from the big stars of Nandamuri family released this year and all of those were either loss ventures or disasters at the box office. Parama Veera Chakra and Shakti were forgettable disasters and Oosaravelli and Sri Rama Rajyam were loss ventures. Let's hope that they will be back to form in 2012 and pull off big hits to make their fans and buyers happy.

Pawan Kalyan @ 'Abhayam' to Panjaa producers!!!

Pawan Kalyan's Panjaa joined the list of biggest disasters of 2011, which means the producers who have invested so much money in it have been ended up in heavy losses. Panjaa isn't a sell out picture as the producers held few areas and released it on their own. Hence, they lost more money on it.

Pawan did this film for Neelima Tirumalasetty as a token of gratitude for the work she has done to Yuva Rajyam. She was accompanied by Shobu Yarlagadda to produce this film. Now both of them suffered losses and Pawan Kalyan is aware of it.
To rescue them out of this slump, he promised to do another film for them. This time it would be an entertainer in noted Telugu director's direction. If Pawan could pull off a hit in the meantime, then Panjaa producers will have more than a reason to smile.

Businessman @ Worries about Competition!!

First week collections prove to be crucial for any movie these days. Star heroes films are solely dependent on the first week collections irrespective of the end result. That is why no one is compromising on it and the producers are making mutual agreements over avoiding release clashes.

Pongal is the only exception until now for releasing good number of big films at a time. However, in the days when only first week collections decide the fate of a film, even a Pongal clash would certainly do some damage! Mahesh Babu's previous film Dookudu made use of no competition season and raked in huge profits out of it.
Businessman is not going to have such free space though. Bodyguard and Nippu are the films that would compete with it. So much is riding on Businessman and the competition has been a worrying factor for the producers of this film. Hence they are planning to release this film a week early to the actual scheduled date, Jan 11, to have a full week's advantage before Bodyguard hits the screens. Nothing is confirmed yet. Amitabh is the real Don @ Shahrukh Khan!!

Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan has declared that megastar Amitabh Bachchan is the original don. The ‘Ra.One’ actor is all praises for Amitabh as he is playing lead in his latest flick, ‘Don 2’ which is a sequel to Amitabh’s 1978 classic hit of same title. Shah Rukh had earlier also attempted to remake Big B’s movie in 2006, titled of same name. The latest movie is an extended version of the 2006 movie. Shah Rukh revealed that his latest movie is similar to the Amitabh’s movie but it caters to the new generation.

Director, Farhan Akhtar has altered several changes to make the latest film to look more appealing and superior than the earlier version. The latest flick released in 2D and 3D in 41 countries. The film also stars Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Kunal Kapoor and Lara Dutta.
