We are talking about Ram Gopal Varma, who was a sensation two decades back when he made a star out of Nagarjuna with Shiva.The very RGV is now looking to be a serious threat to Nagarjuna's twenty plus son Chaitanya's success. Bejawada, with all the nonsensical hype and overblown controversies surrounding it, couldn't even grab any curious eyeballs. The advance bookings for this film are pathetic at best.
Trade pundits say that it is because of RGV's name attached to it. Ram Gopal Varma has done major damage to his name in the recent times by making torturous films. Now audiences are not in a mood to get fooled by his gimmicks. They are safely staying away from Bejawada and Chaitanya's biggest dud Dhada is adding fuel to the fire. Let's see if Bejawada director Vivek Krishna could overcome RGV threat with good content and execution.
