Glamorous mothers grooming their daughters as next generation heroines is a general trend followed in films. When it comes to the case of yesteryear beauty queen Sreedevi and her daughter Jahnavi, this trend becomes much more specialized. There is a big talk on the debut of Jahnavi with any of the South Films owing it as their pleasure because Sreedevi roused to great heights of fame in B-town only after making it to top in South film industry.
Although nothing of a clearance is offered by Sreedevi on Jahnavi’s first entry but the way this doting mother is focusing on daughter’s career is seen all the way when she is focused to cameras at recent event of Lakme Fashion Week. The pretty daughter is easily stealing the limelight wearing attractive costumes revealing the needed. Some say, Sreedevi is trying extra mile to show herself still as younger as her daughter while Jahnavi is silently pulling the camera crowds.
Balakrishna and Chiranjeevi have been friends (!) in the film industry, but have turned foes due to their political ideologies. Recent verbal exchanges between the stars have put their relation at bay. Balakrishna crossed the line by furious verbal attack against Chiranjeevi and the latter maintained his cool.
Now there is a buzz being heard among the film circles that Balakrishna is going to throw more satires on Chiranjeevi in the film Adhinayakudu. This movie has political backdrop and Balakrishna plays the role of Chief Minister in it. There are many powerful scenes and dialogues written for this character it seems.
Balakrishna has taken indirect and direct digs at Chiranjeevi in this film and the director has created situations is what the grapevine say. If this turns into reality and Balakrishna targets Chiranjeevi through movie, then the rift between the stars will get even worse.
Sourav Ganguly, one of the most successful captains of Indian cricket team, is gearing up for a new innings in his professional life. After retiring from playing international cricket, he began working in TV shows like Dadagiri and another Bengali version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, besides making appearances as a commentator. Now, for the first time ever, he’s all set to act in a Bengali film. He has reportedly bought the remake rights of Sumanth, Swati starrer Golconda High School. Mohan Krishna Indraganti had directed the Telugu version and Ram Mohan had produced it. The film is based on a novel ‘The Men Within’ written by Hari Mohan. Apparently, Sourav Ganguly is going to reprise Sumanth’s role as a cricket coach who inspires a group of students to win a tournament in order to save the school’s cricket ground. After a successful career in cricket, it remains to be seen how he fares in films. Good luck Dada.
Young Tiger NTR’s mass action entertainer ‘Dhammu’ is riding high on positive reports from the industry and the movie is doing superb pre-release business. We have received information that the satellite rights of the film have been picked up by Zee Telugu for the bumper price of about 6.6 Crores. A couple of media houses were in the fray for the rights and Zee bagged them after some intense competition.
Boyapati Sreenu is the director of this movie which has NTR and Trisha in lead roles. Kartheeka will be seen as the second lead and the movie is being produced by Alexander Vallabha. Music has been composed by M.M.Keeravani.
Loosing of Prakashraj from ‘Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is definitely a big misfortune for Dil Raju and team which have to partially recover the deficit by selecting some other noted artist. As said earlier, the hunt was either for naazar or for Bollywood versatile artist Anupam Kher. As per final reports arrived late night, it is none other than naazar decided to join the team getting ready to shoot for next schedule.
It is also to be observed here that, both Prakashraj and naazar formed the key part of Mahesh Babu’s majority of super duper industry hits like ‘Pokiri, Dookudu and Businessman.’ In fact loosing of Prakashraj and finding the alternative in naazar is some how loosing and finding some sort of luck for Mahesh Babu.
NTR, Trisha, Karthika’s show of ‘Dammu’ under Boyapati Srinu direction is progressing at brisk pace. Latest buzz is the film’s music will be released on March 24th at Silpa Kala Vedika in a spectacular ceremony. Top tollywood dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion. The film is produced by KS Rama rao and Alexander Vallabha on Creative Commercials banner. MM.Keeravani is composing music for the flick which will be releasing in summer. Young Tiger will be seen in dual roles just like his earlier flick ‘Adurs’.

The Tollywood circuit is abuzz with the mania created by Mahesh Babu and since then, all the young heroes have been coming up with ways and means to get past him. Now, it is heard that Daggubati Rana might well be the first one to get a breakthrough in this aspect.
News is that Rana is likely to beat Mahesh and this is in terms of followers in the social networking site Twitter. Apparently, there are around 2.16 lakh followers for Rana and Mahesh is currently enjoying the following of 3 lakhs. However, it is heard that Rana has made up his mind to get past that figure.
He is confident that this would happen through his new movie ‘Department’. Apparently, this is a nationwide cinema so the hype will grow and off the record news is that he is aiming to cross Mahesh. That way, Twitter sure is becoming a parameter for many of the Tollywood folks to check their popularity scales.
