India skipper MS Dhoni on Sunday supported the Team Management's rotation policy saying one of the top three batsmen (Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir) were rested for each game because they are slow on the field.
"Taking all the three of them into the Playing X1 would affect our fielding in a big way. It's not just these three players, but there are quite a few others who are also slow. If you go to the details, there are only two or three good fielders in the side. Especially, the throwing and diving of the fielders need to be good. Fielding is one are where you could always score. It lifts the morale of the team and keeps the intensity," Dhoni said.
"These fielders are not bad but in Australia where you see big fields, they are slightly on the slower side. The opposition teams (Australia and Sri Lanka) would try to exploit them, whenever the ball goes to them. It's not similar to India, where you pick up the ball and throw it back after touching the boundary. Sometimes, you may end up pulling muscle or a hamstring," he added.
Tollywood’s multi starrer featuring Victory Venkatesh, Prince Mahesh Babu ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ is shooting at brisk pace and is presently in a village near Then Kasi, a border area of beautiful southern states TN and Kerala. Prince Mahesh Babu will be shooting for the first time in the film and he reached the spot by 15th evening flight. Venky and Prakash Raj will be joining him by today’s evening flight. Hot beauties Samantha and Anjali will be seen romancing with Mahesh and Venky. Sources say the shooting will progress till this month end. Film is directed by Srikanth Addala.
It is known that Gopichand’s marriage that was supposed to happen on 24th of this month got cancelled.
Today, the bride’s father Rambabu, who is a businessman in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad committed suicide with the grief of cancellation of marriage.
Rambabu distributed the wedding cards of his daughter Haritha for many of his friends and relatives. He got upset when the marriage cancelled and finally committed suicide by consuming pesticide.
It is known that both Gopichand and Haritha (an MBA student in Australia) got engaged on 26th of January.
The Friday that went by saw the releases of three movies and it must be said that all three of them came in with very high expectations at the box office.
On the other hand, since the genre of the movies was slightly different, many felt that would not pose a dent in other films. Given the fact that it is also the Sivaratri weekend, the makers were dreaming to make the most of the long weekend.
So, here is a look at the three movies and what the fate of these movies turned out to be.
NIPPU:
This has Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in the lead and it is directed by Gunasekhar while YVS Chowdary is the producer. During their growing stages, the three of them were roommates and also, all three of them are currently going through a very lean patch in their careers due to nonstop flops. However, it appears that the string still continues.
Reports from box office reveal the film has been declared a dud. Primarily, the film lacked a proper storyline and then the execution also was weak. The performance of Ravi Teja was the saving grace to an extent.
LOVE FAILURE:
This is the debut production venture of hero Siddarth and he also gave chance to a debutante director Balaji Mohan. Sidz also played the lead role and he paired up with Amala Paul. Reports say that the film has struck a strong chord at the A-Centers and especially the Youth and multiplex audience.
Repeat audience factor is also working for the film and the packaging of the psychology of youngsters and their romances have been depicted well which worked for the viewers. Looks like Sidz has brought a hit for himself with his own money.
POOLA RANGADU:
A lot was spoken about the film for various reasons. Primarily, this was Sunil’s 4th film as a hero and many were curious to know if he can carry that in the lead.
Moreover, the fact that he sported a six pack was another curious point. This was the second directorial venture of Veerabhadram and the second film for heroine Isha Chawla.
According to the latest reports, the film looks set for a proper commercial hit. It has worked strongly at the B, C centers and mass audience is connecting to it. The masala elements are full and the formula for commercial viewers is perfect which resulted in this output.
Overall, the average looks positive as two hits out of three looks possible. However, since ‘Nippu’ happens to be a big hero film with big budget, the disappointment is being experienced.
The tag of 'flop' got erased after struggling for a while in the tinsel town for our romantic heartthrob of eligible girls. Now, the question is about Nitin and his luck-factor.
Generally they say that one has stepped on a 'nakka thoka', if he scores a stupendous success effortlessly. One such thing happened with hero Siddarth through his LOVE FAILURE. More than his acting skills and intervention, the content of the film looked fresh and vivacious, attracting youths to theatres. Ultimately, he got his 'flop-hero' tag erased and the film is said to be expanding to more theatres for the craze it generated.
CineLovers are saying that Nitin too may create such buzz at BO with his ISHQ. Nitin holds the record of continuous number of flops than any other hero in Tollywood. Like LOVE FAILURE, Nitin's movie is also directed by a fresher and he too is waiting for a hit like Siddharth. Let us see if he steps on 'Nakka Thoka' or not!
Speaking to a regional channel, actor Mahesh Babu said that the feeling of delivering two back to back record breaking hits has not sunk in yet. He says he is in a state of “continuous happiness”. The actor was quick to add that the credit should go the teams (of Dookudu and Businessman). Speaking about SVSC, he said he is plain lucky to be having it as his next release. He termed it as a subject that has a lot of diversity in it and said that sharing screen space with Venkatesh was an experience in itself. In this informal chit chat he told the anchor that he was not a method actor and relied a lot on spontaneity. Tollywood, Mahesh opined is entering a new phase where there is lot of scope for experimentation and variety. The current lot of technicians, Mahesh feels, are among the best that the industry has had in a long time.
The first teaser of Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film Gabbar Singh is going to be unveiled on February 23. Earlier, the producer of the film, Bandla Ganesh was planning to release the first look on the eve of Maha Shivaratri; however, he has confirmed this latest news on the film’s teaser. Harish Shankar is directing the film and Shruti Haasan is playing the lead role in this film, which is an official remake of Dabangg. Harish Shankar has shown the teaser to a select few and those who have seen the teaser can’t stop raving about Pawan Kalyan’s energy and style. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music. The film is expected to hit the screens in the last week of April.
