Why is ‘Businessman’ delayed in release? Are there are any technical hurdles? Are there any financial hurdles? Too many questions and too many assumptions are making air in Film Nagar circles raising doubts on the film. However, a new talk that has fresh buzz is about Puri Jagan taking a U-Turn on comedy elements in ‘Businessman.’ As life of this script lie in speedy narration, Puri ignored working out on humor which is special in each and every one of his films. After watching the first copy, an upset Puri is known to have canned some shots on Ali but that too wasn’t enough.
Gossipmongers say…producers have now pressured Puri for picturizing a separate track even on brahmanandam and that is the exact reason behind the postponement of release. Whether Censor will accept these kinds of amendments to final copy after certification is unknown but if the gossip is really true, then Brahmi entering into ‘Businessman’ is definitely good news for Prince Fans because of the fact that ‘Dookudu’ has shown how well Mahesh and Brahmi’s screen chemistry works out.
Raviteja is apt for the title of ‘Mass Maharaja.’ His forte has always been rugged characters with enormous energy and the perfect comedy timing which is delivered every time. Post ‘Mirapakay,’ the successive failures of ‘Dongala Muta’ and ‘Veera’ made raviteja to accept two flicks with full of mass elements, one with Gunasekhar that is ‘Nippu’ and second with director Siva of ‘Souryam’ fame.
As ‘Nippu’ has got out from Sankranti fight due to lag in post production works, now director Siva’s movie is known to have been tentatively titled as ‘Daruvu – The Sound of Mass.’ Heroine in the film is Tapsee and is produced by Burugupalli Siva Rama Krishna. Inner sources say, ‘Daruvu’ will be a perfect mass entertainer packed with marked treatment of raviteja style. So, first half of 2012 will have two a minimum of flicks coming from Mass Maharaja.
Intimacy of tall hero Daggubati Rana and petite beauty trisha has been the biggest of buzzes in recent times. When every one in industry is discussing on their supposed closeness, trisha agrees of her long time relation with Rana which never crossed the line of friendship. Usually, a calm and quite going trisha opened ‘Rana and myself have been best friends from last 10 years. I knew him from the early days when I was just two movies old in film industry. We are close friends and he is my sweet heart. I love him as a friend and I can’t think on any other lines other than this. He is one of my 3 AM friends and I don’t mind people assuming differently when ever they see a girl and boy hanging in public. The best way to deal with rumor is just ignore them.’
For the moment, trisha has ‘Bodyguard’ ready for release and also ‘Dammu’ with Junior NTR coming up for April. Professionally, 2011 has been a bad year and trisha expects 2012 to be fruitful with bag projects into her kitty.
The postponement news of Businessman is not going down well with the fans in particular it seems. A film being postponed after passing through the censors is not a good sign as people start to raise eyebrows over the product. Especially for a most awaited film like Businessman last minute delays are the least wanted.
Although there are some fans that are happy with the fresh release date for obvious reasons, we can't deny the fact that it is sending wrong signals to the public. Analysts feel that it is a cautious move from the makers as they don't want to miss out on the festival weekend advantage due to early release.
This should only be a problem when one has doubts over the end product! Why because a film with sufficient substance should be able to make the most of opening days and also the festive weekend. Why would a film misses out on the opportunity of cashing on the festival time just because it was released a couple of days earlier?
Is Businessman not up to the mark? Does it fear the competition from Bodyguard? Are they solely depending upon the openings to be in safe zone? So many unnecessary questions have popped up when the film is right round the corner to hit the screens!
Music director Thaman's initials are SS, which is now being abbreviated as 'Super Successful'. Thaman has turned out to be the lucky charm for most of his films. Last year he had as many as four hits and three out of those were amongst the top five hits of 2011.
No wonder, Telugu film industry is running after this super successful music director now. Most of the big budget films that are lined up for release in this year has Thaman as the music director. It is Ram Charan's turn to dance to the tunes of Thaman. He will be scoring music for Charan, Vinayak movie.
Previously it was Devi Sri Prasad who was under consideration for this film. But Vinayak and Charan couldn't resist Thaman after looking at this tremendous success rate. Thaman used to give mediocre tunes at the start of his career. The quality of his music has been improving a lot in recent times.
Postponing the release of Mahesh Babu’s ‘businessman’ might be a blessing in disguise. But, others say director Puri Jagannath’s hurriedness to make the film qualify for release with in just 74 days after announcement might have caused some sort of damage to the final copy of film. Did Puri stick to his basics? Did Puri stick to the renewed image of Mahesh Babu, post the superb success of ‘Dookudu’? There are plenty of questions churning the minds of Fans. At this moment, postponing the release and news about lack of comedy in film are raising many more doubts.
Working against the deadline might have taken its toll. Now, ‘businessman’ release is postponed from January 11 to 13. The reason cited by makers is that post production work was not complete. A hero recently said, ‘announcing the release date first and struggling to finish film on time is not a good trend as this is to affect the quality.’ Of course…there will no takers for this view; if ‘businessman’ scores a hit else Puri is to take the blame.
Last two years haven't been happy years for mega fans as none of their favorite heroes delivered at least a decent film in 2010 and 11. To be precise, all the mega films that were released after Magadheera have bitten dust leaving fans in absolute dismay and pain.
Maybe 2012 has an answer to their prayers and long wait as all the mega heroes are now doing 'safe-bet-commercial-ventures' which have less chances to bomb at the box office. Even more delightful news is that all the three films from Pawan, Charan and Arjun will be released for this summer with at least five weeks gap between each.
Mega fans would hope that all the three would hit bull's eye to their merry. Gabbar Singh should be the film for Pawan Kalyan to bounce back and Racha should be the film for Charan to bag another hit. Allu Arjun's untitled film in Trivikram's direction too is tailor made for the star. Let's wait and see how many of these click and how well they do!
Young hero Ramcharan Tej may be few films old but within a short span he managed to set one big record by scoring a bumper blockbuster ‘Magadheera’. Of course, that has been overtaken by ‘Dookudu’ now. However, that has not deterred the mega powerstar from marching on with new records.
Now, it is heard that he has created a record of his own. Sources say Ramcharan’s new film ‘Rachcha’ has sold its overseas rights for a record amount of Rs 2.75 crores. This is the second highest figure for a Telugu film in overseas territory. The first place belongs to ‘Businessman’ which was reportedly sold for Rs 4.5 crores.
‘Rachcha’ is slated to be a full length action entertainer packed with commercial elements and the hype has been positive. The shooting is progressing briskly and it is scheduled for a mid 2012 release. Charan is pairing up with Tamannah in the lead. Let us wait to see what ‘Rachcha’ this film creates at overseas box office.
