Flop @ Hero of 2011!!

Tollywood is expecting 2012 to be a better year for big films as 2011 proved disastrous for big budget films. Most of the top rated heroes, except for Mahesh and Prabhas tasted flops in 2011. But one hero who had bitten dust pretty badly is none other than Siddharth.


Sid had three releases in 2011 and all the three looked promising prior to the release. But unfortunately none of the films really set the box office on fire. Anaganaga O Dheerudu, which was released for last Pongal was amongst the biggest flops of the year.
180 too ended up as a disaster. This was a dual disappointment for the actor as it was released in Tamil too. Despite all the hungama done by Dil Raju, Oh My Friend's final result was disappointing. It did average business in Overseas and Hyderabad, but was a major dud in other areas. With three big flops to his credit, Siddharth is the flop hero of 2011. Among the superstar league, Pawan Kalyan leads the table with two disasters up his sleeve.

Pawan Kalyan's @ Only Lifeline!!

Looks like Pawan Kalyan has only one lifeline to fall back on during the crisis time. Despite many star directors willing to work with Pawan Kalyan, the superstar is not opening his doors to most of them. He has been a good friend to Trivikram Srinivas and he is the only one who is accessible to Power star at anytime.
Incidentally, Trivikram is the only director to give a hit to Pawan Kalyan in the last ten years. Now, after a hat-trick of disasters hitting the Power star pretty badly post Jalsa, he is thinking of using the lifeline Trivikram yet again. If the buzz is to be believed, Pawan and Trivikram are teaming up for a movie tentatively titled Sarada.
As per the buzz, Neelima Tirumalasetty of Panjaa fame is likely to produce this film. Pawan Kalyan cancelled all his prior commitments except for Gabbar Singh after the debacle of Panjaa. Now Trivikram steps into the rescue of Power star with Sarada. However, sources close to mega camp deny any such development!

It is known that Mahesh Babu’s Businessman is releasing on January 11 on large scale worldwide. The latest news is Businessman has completed the censor and got A certificate by the Board members. The censor board also suggested minor cuts and producers have accepted for it.

Before the actual pre-release talk of businessman has hit the media headlines, Mahesh Babu is confirmed as the New Super Star of Tollywood and his craze in Overseas is really overwhelming almost equaling the range of Rajinikanth. Ever since Dookudu has struck the gold mine for distributors and exhibitors in Overseas market, business for businessman is anticipated to go on at record prices and the same has happened now with trade of this film closed for all the centers.


New exhibitors are entering into market with huge amounts readily poured on Mahesh Babu. Old and senior players are although watching this new trend are remaining shocked on how can this sort of Business help a movie run into profits. Every movie cant be a Dookudu or Magadheera. But, businessman has become the highest and fastest business making film in Overseas. Amounts paid by exhibitors to distributors are one of the highest ever seen in entire Tollywood history. Businessman @ 2000 Screens - Record Release!!

Prince Mahesh Babu and Kajal Agarwal starrer  ‘Business Man’ release is getting an unprecedented release. Production hands say that Businessman release on January 11 will hit the deck in 2000 screens worldwide in both Telugu and Malayalam. Now that’s really big! Considering Mahesh Babu’s box office power and the crazy combo of Puri and Mahesh, perhaps RR Movie Makers are looking to bask on their brand power. Mahesh Babu, after his Dookudu success, is the hottest property in Tollywood and corporate world, and no wonder the makers are looking to cash in on the brand fever!
RR Movie Makers seems to have taken the Businessman release as a prestigious affair. The movie is releasing in around 100 theatres in Hyderabad, more than 70 theatres in Uttarandhra which itself is an all-time record. No doubt the release numbers will be striking by the time the official figures come out – watch out for those! Businessman movie is currently undergoing DTX Mixing and is expected to complete in a day or two. It was also reported that Superstar Mahesh watched Businessman movie yesterday night at Prasad Labs and was happy with the outcome of the action episodes.

DAMMU NEW SCHEDULE FROM JAN 6TH

Young Tiger NTR’s action entertainer ‘Dammu’ shooting is going on in a brisk pace. A new schedule will begin on January 6th in Annapurna Studios for a song and fight sequence. Meanwhile, the official first look and teaser will be out on Sankranthi.

Dammu is a power packed entertainer as per sources in the industry. The film has some rocking dialogues and NTR is portraying multiple characters. Trisha is the lead heroine and Kartheeka is the second lead. Dammu is being directed Boyapati Sreenu and Alexander Vallabha is the producer. Music maestro M.M.Keeravani is scoring the music for this flick.

Pawan Kalyan’s in 3D FILM

Power Star Pawan Kalyan is now relying on a comedy film in 3D, to be produced by B.V.S.N. Prasad. While most T-town stars usually stay away from the 3D genre, Pawan is set to revive the trend in Telugu and he even made the producer procure the script written by Tamil director S.J. Suryah for a whopping Rs 1.5 crore.

“The story is about three bachelors and how they negotiate their new roommate who is a lion. There are nearly 20 scenes with these four characters. It will be a laugh-riot and looks to be a winner,” says a source in the production house. To add some spice to the story, the producer is negotiating with Ileana to give the film the tag of a “romantic comedy”.

Prabhu Deva’s brother and leading choreographer Raju Sundaram will be directing the big-ticket entertainer which is somewhat loosely inspired by the Hollywood hit Hangover and should tickle some funny bones. Actor Vaibhav will be playing one of Pawan’s friends. “Comedy is always a safe bet in Tollywood and Pawan is excited to do this film and is also looking forward to exploring the new format,” the source adds. Shooting should start by February, after the remake of Dabbang. And if it is a success, we can expect more stars joining the 3D bandwagon.

Mahesh Babu @ busy with 3+6?

Prince mahesh babu has always been accused of taking things easy. He did films at a leisurely pace and often his films took more than a year to complete. Till 2011 mahesh babu took his own sweet time to complete a film. Now all this has changed. He completed The Businessman in a record three months time.


mahesh babu now has a couple of films in hand including the multi-starrer Sitamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. The prince is also endorsing products by the dozen.
